Sounds reasonable but it should have been reversed... I pass the 4x4 anyway, too much a toy. You are mixing things up These BT devices are pure passive, they have no sort of "intelligent" electronics on bord. NXT, EV3 and that new thing however contain a small computer that can store software and execute it. PUP and C+ systems are commanded by an external device. So you won't have to shout "Open the pod bay door HAL" to a PUP or C+ device. The others however...

Mostly you will find minifigure weapons etc. Must have been a container full of it that was lost by a carrier back then. You don't need a detector, just a sieve will do when the tide is going out.

I have a even more powerfull monster cause I like to play the more serious kind of flightsimulators etc. Using LDD on it doesn't improve any performance of it compared to my laptop. If you're planning to buy that setup (nice choice) for LDD than don't. For gaming ... yes...

If you are so affraid of screen time (read internet use) than I would recommend to buy a refurbished smartphone and use that as dedicated Lego controller. Install the Lego apps, remove simcard, delete any app that's not needed, blacklist MAC on wifi and you have a "brick" that can only run excisting apps. Actually you can block allmost anything on a smartphone that you do not want to be used by you kid.

Freeze the axle's and heat the bearings * , quickly push them on with a tiny pipe that just fits over the axle. *don't overdo, they will loose their hardening over 250 degrees celcius.
