  1. Enough guessing at who the included minifigures will be--this is just unsubstantiated speculation--take that over to the wishlist thread please. Thanks!
  2. So am I. No game talk here. This thread (and forum) is for physical set discussion. I don't know why I have to say that so often. Thank you!
  3. I don't have a problem with them using Joker, but I am hesitant towards who they cast for the voice--Zach Galifianakis I'm not sure how the Joker will play. I could see Galifianakis going very deadpan serious Joker, while obviously having the colorful Lego style look. But I do trust that the choice was well made.
  4. Those white spiders! Smash em, smash em all! Leave none left alive! Nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure! Got that off my chest. Clearly, I hate gross space spiders. Still, a decent episode before the looming storm. Not sure what Rebels has against women pilots or Phoenix squadron leaders, but gosh do they have terrible deaths. Also Ezra was particularly annoying in this episode--what with his attempts at communication instead of stabbing the eyes out of spiders like he should have done. Zeb had the right idea. But Rex is a terrible shot. Also, damn Kanan and Hera, kiss already! We all want it to happen--just do it!
  5. The movie and trailer can be discussed in the Community forum's The Lego Batman Movie thread. I know many are excited about this upcoming movie, as am I, and it's obvious that we will get set tie-ins late this year/early next year, but until that time (or until we get some actual set rumors with specifics), let's please not speculate about what we'll get from the movie here. Patience is a virtue people! Thanks.
  6. So amazing! I cannot wait until this movie comes out...along with all the juicy set tie-ins! Although to be honest I hate the belt thing going on. Not sure why that's being used--seems very action-figure and not Lego.
  7. Cosmic Clash was spectacular and utterly hilarious (Batman, who do you believe in? ...Batman). Going in, I thought I would dislike Cosmic Clash; but the direction was surprisingly good (considering how hit or miss time travel can be). I liked the inclusion of Vandal Savage, although it was a missed opportunity that they only showed him once in the past, and not again at every time period. I'm not a fan of the Legion of Heroes personally (which I why I thought I would dislike Cosmic Clash), but they were used just enough and were well done. And as I'm not very enthusiastic about BvS...this movie may have included the best "Superman"/Batman duel we're going to get! Most of all, I was surprised by the use of Brainiac. Frankly he's way way overdone, and ever story is the same with him--but this was actually unique. The use of multiple Brainiacs was great, as was his OCD like behavior. Best of all, they dropped that whinny nerd voice from LB3, and gave him something more appropriate and intimidating. Now they just need to fix their Supergirl problem... So going foreword I'm excited for Gotham City Breakout. The Nightwing figure is perfect, and I hope the movie includes a good number of cameos (come on Killer Moth!). On the Bane subject though, I don't think we should expect anything. These are the same movies that have been touting Cheetah and Giganta for the longest time after all, and they've never materialized.
  8. Batman gets new costumes all the time--so there's no indication it'll end up being used for a Lego minifigure. Let's keep the focus on physical Lego discussion please--thanks!
  9. Just making sure everyone understands...that everyone realizes the movie is not scheduled for release until July 2019...that's more than three years from now. Because of that, there's no actual set discussion going on here (obviously), let alone any rumors (yet) that we'll actually get any sets. So in the long meantime, please take the discussion over to the Community forum. Come back here mid-2018 once we actually have need to discussion potential sets.
  10. At the least its common courtesy. Everyone, let's not delve into the deep pit that is Lego cost complaining. It appears the final cost of this series is still disputed, so there's no point in arguing about hypotheticals. Let's focus on the figures instead please, not how much Disney wants our wallets--thank you!
  11. Having recently been sucked back into Disney movies on account of the upcoming minifigure series, I've started taking a second look at all of these Disney sets. I will say, shockingly, that I actually like the Beauty and the Beast set. I'm not opposed to stickers in principle (although I will admit, I do dislike how much detail of this set was created solely by stickers and not bricks), but they're understandably used on certain characters. Not everything can be printed after all--its costly, especially for one time use like these. Bella and Beast are nice--although the latter is ridiculously thin--both are screaming for minifigure variants, plus the all important Gaston! Please Lego! No one bricks like Gaston! On a side note, is Beast's head actually a hair piece? A 'human' hairpiece is included for his transformation, so I'm wondering if the 'beast' piece is actually just a covering for a normal mini-doll head. That would possibly mean the 'beast' headpiece could be used on minifigures...hopefully that is the case. Largely I like this set and I would by it...if it were cheaper. I think the absolute main problem is the price point. It doesn't look or feel like a $50 set. Maybe a $40 or better yet beefed up $30. Subconsciously it just spoils everything else about the set. So I'll be looking out for sales.
  12. We're under attack! Save us oh great Poseidon!
  13. I thought it was an ok episode--and my 'meh' attitude towards it largely rest on it's placement within the season. I don't know why they would setup all the Sith/Jedi confrontations and then just throw this in there to absolutely slaughter the momentum. If we had to wait an extra week for last week's momentum episode then fine, but I don't like how Chopper episode is then forced to drag out the wait of what we all really want to see! That being said, it was rather hilarious--especially the part where Chopper stole the leg and then didn't flee anywhere. Like no one would notice! I liked the imperial droid, and I seriously swear he sounded like the late great Alan Rickman--I can't be the only one who felt that way. Anyways, yada yada yada--let's get to the Jedi killing stuff already Rebels! Vader's sword demands apprentice blood! Demands it I say!
  14. I think the deal might be at all Toys R Us. A few weeks back, there was a full box at my Toys R Us and I picked a few good ones (like Left Shark), but going there yesterday was the my first time since the "great disappearance". Now, they only had three series 15 packs on a peg--and a full box of series 14 too (because nothing says Halloween like March). No signs or promotions or anything, but those three series 15 only cost me $9, as the 2 for 5 sale was applied without fanfare.
  15. Mine arrived! I also had the weird Dr. Who hands issue, but its really just a bonus considering the rarity of the hand color (and how easy it is to replace them with correct normal flesh ones).
  16. Picked up Kanan's speeder bike from Target. As a huge fan of the Rebels show, this set is great both on its own and as its related to the show. Finally getting Kanan in a cheap set is a huge win, as is the Imperial combat driver, whose design is amazing. Plus another Stormtrooper is always nice (contrary to popular opinion, I actually love the Rebel designed ones). The stickers on the crates look great, as is the fact that it comes with so many weapons. Kanan's bike is rather huge, and because of its size it does remind me a lot of this ridiculous Aurra Sing bike toy I had/have, but its nice regardless. I found that moving the bike handles (ergo the clips that hold them) to attach to the bottom of the 2x1 technic brick greatly improves the overall design, and allows Kanan to reach them when sitting. Great set!
  17. As I've said before, again, we don't know much about the context of the set, considering all of this debating about fan usage is based off descriptions of a set on display without the minifigures it'll include. As far as I know, even the minifigure selection seems to be based off assumptions--so let's not then jump to racist stereotype arguments about the figures either. Let's move the discussion along to sets we do know about. Thanks!
  18. This is true. That being said, this book is already being discussed in DC 2016 set Rumors and Discussion, so we don't need to dig up those old thread.
  19. Good to know these are being shipped out--I wasn't really looking into it, so I just assumed mine got lost in the mail months ago! Thanks CopMike!
  20. Excited to see Adventure Time coming to Lego, even if it's in brick-figure form...not sure how that'll be. But with the apparent Adventure Time dimensions packs on the horizon, things seem to be looking good for the Land of Ooo.
  21. Mmmm no. 1) This is NOT the place to discuss the trailer (or the movie). Take that over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe thread please--read at your own peril FYI. I don't care about "well that's what the figure will look like, so we half ta talk about it" or any statements like that. Wait until the figure is out please. Also See point 3. 2) There's no need to argue about the Dr. Strange set. Aside from the vague descriptions, we know nothing about it. Let's wait a while before we jump to conclusions about the set. Thanks! 3) I'm saying this now, before this goes too much farther: it's almost Superhero Summer movie time, but that DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN POST SPOILERS WILLY-NILLY. Quite frankly, I'm of the opinion that if you have to put it in a spoiler tag, it doesn't belong in Licensed. Too often, members of this forum specifically jump the gun, and ruin it for everyone else. Just be on notice...the Licensed staff will come down on you like a sack of dirt if you want to ruin the fun for everyone. Nemo's not playing.
  22. That's probably accurate. Although in regards to Ursula, I do think it's strange that Lego seems to be using a black minifigure torso as the base (and then printing on that), rather than a lavender base torso. As is, you'll have black on the sides and top of the torso. Seems to be the only (-) on an otherwise perfect figure.
  23. Interesting thread. I'm a huge Adventurers fan (and I keep telling myself to actually build for the theme), so it's great to see there's continued interest in the theme. It does seem to be making a comeback recently, considering the recent cameos of Johnny Thunder--it's starting to look more than just coincidental, now whether that means another wave is in the future may be asking too much, but we can dream. At the least, Lego seems aware of the themes popularity and familiarity of fans with Johnny Thunder. All that being said in terms of my favorite wave, I have to go with Egypt and then down the line exactly as they were released. Egypt seems the most 'classic' if that makes sense. It's very Indiana Jones/Mummy, but it works, and it was clearly the most complete wave. Amazon (which shockingly has almost no votes) was great too, but significantly smaller (same with Dino). Interestingly, although I like Egypt on the whole, it's hard for me to pick out specific sets from it that I really wanted (having missed them), but for Amazon, I know in a heartbeat what sets I'd want today (Zeppelin, River Boat, etc.). I think the villains introduced in it were the best following the perfect two from Egypt--and Amazon included my favorite Adventurers character, the reverse-Johnny: Rudo Villano. I don't feel Dino holds up well, at least in comparison to the previous waves, and especially by modern standards. The dinosaurs are rather pitiful now, but they do have a classic nostalgic feel to them (hence why I've been collecting them). But say what you will about the Dino theme itself, it has given us a wide variety of dinosaurs, and not just T-Rex and raptor variants that we have received since. I generally feel the same about Orient--before this poll, I would have argued that it was perhaps the least liked wave, but apparently that's not true at all. To me it did not feel successful, as it was focused on three locations and seemed to be failing in each one of them. None of the new characters seemed rather memorable (I'm sure most people couldn't name them off the top of their head), and by the time of the fourth wave, there'd already been tons of cars and planes. It does make me wonder what a new wave would look like though--Orient was the closest to a 'modern' wave.
  24. And then not post it here. Remember everyone, this is not the thread for movie discussion. Whether it's inaccurate or not, we have the Lego Captain America we have. Let's focus on the sets, and not the still photos please.
  25. Let's not discuss Lego Dimensions packs here please, even if they include DC figures. It both belongs in a different thread, and is absolute speculation at this point anyways. Thanks!
