  1. Just saw the film too, and after clarifying with Google--yes it was Sleeping Beauty's castle design (surprising that it was used), but it seemed slightly recolored, at least compared to the theme park design; but this is all off topic. Just note everyone: let's not argue about which castle it will be please. We know next to nothing about the set as a whole, so there's no point in getting worked up over nothing. Thanks!
  2. Understandably everyone is excited, as am I, but please do not post statements about not finding them in stores. This has been going on for a few pages; no problems specifically, but it's just unnecessary. Technically, they shouldn't be out anywhere at all until May 1st, so it should just be assumed that unless you've found them (you can say that!), then you have not found them. We don't need to be notified that you've found nothing! Thanks everyone!
  3. First I will note that I don't particularly care for the title of this thread, and I've mulled over changing it many times; its vagueness gives the assumption that one can talk about anything. That is not the case--reason being this thread is dedicated towards the 2016 DC Sets only. Not non-minifigure character discussion, not wishlists, not Dimensions talk. Rumors itself is a term used too widely as well, which causes these problems. A rumor needs a source to be a rumor. Anyways, all of that can, is, and does take place in other threads across the Licensed forum and Eurobricks as a whole. The indication to me that a thread is out of hand is when every couple of posts is a question asked about what's happened, what set is coming, what did I miss (incidentally all of that info is always on the first page ). The Superhero threads are constantly thrown into chaos by off topic conversation--reigning that in is the only way to restore order and prevent them from becoming unreadable mazes. But enough of this discussion, this thread is for the 2016 DC sets, period. Nothing more, nothing less. Otherwise I'll have to call bad cop O'Cloney here to rain down hellfire on everyone. And we don't want that!
  4. I second this. No more Raven talk. I don't know how to be more clear about that. It's nothing but unsubstantiated wishes and rumors that fill this thread with pages of off topic discussion. Regardless, the rumors claim she would be released with Lego Dimensions, and that discussion does not belong here anyways. This thread is for 2016 DC set discussion, not 2016 wishes and wants.
  5. This is what a $200 Lego set looks like nowadays?
  6. The discussion in this thread is delving too deep into speculation--more like straight up wishlist. Let's focus on the actual sets we know about, not tidbits of rumored information. Thank you!
  7. Can't wait to see the ship develop. I'm testing the waters for my own minifigure scale ghost, so it's great to see the ship itself get more interest in the building community.
  8. Not liking some of the issues those pictures reveal--not that I'm ungrateful to have pictures, thanks FluffyBunny77 Ursula looks worse and worse every time I see her. I hope that by the time I have her in hand, she's not the worst minifigure ever, as opposed to my initial best impression. But I think the most important issue is just the quality of the wave as a whole--the print quality is not there. Putting aside the messed up Pan face print example, that Peter Pan minifigure has some of the worst quality printing I've seen on an official Lego piece. Out of alignment, colors showing through, colors don't match--knives can't choose between first and second place. Everything is wrong. For being a combination of two the the worlds greatest companies, I'm shocked at how poor the quality control is.
  9. Short story: I came late to Rebels, so I missed all of the 2014 sets (granted, let's be honest, they were largely garbage); and now recently having fallen in love with the show, I wanted to collect the characters. Namely the Grand Inquisitor. I was seriously considering the aftermarket where he's about $20, but I also wanted the dark tan imperial--together they'd be the price of the set. So kicking myself for missing the now two year old set; I decided what the heck, and I drove out into the rain to hope that K-Mart (of all places), the superstore that moves no stock whatsoever and is still open solely by black magic--might--answer my prayers. And yes, I owe K-Mart an apology. With an audible gasp, I saw the set on the highest self, behind some JW Dinos, two years after it came out! And it was even cheaper than list price! Yay--this never happens to me! Goooo Nemo! Other buys; I picked up a group of 5 new imperial technicians on EBay for a steal at $22 with free shipping. So I'll have six when they arrive. I love generic imperials, and I've been wanting to make Star Wars builds for some time, so that will help.
  10. Rey being the daughter of Han and Leia makes no sense whatsoever. Their whole point is about trying to get Ben to come home. Would be rather hypocritical of them to leave their only daughter on a desert planet for 20 years and then not bother to recognize her (or care to) when they stumble across each other. That all being said, Star Wars has horrible parents in general, across the board.
  11. This is going downhill. Nothing more needs to be said.
  12. Looks pretty exciting. I love the use of the Star Destroyer alert sound--I know its Star Wars, but that gave me an Aliens vibe--nonetheless cool. There seems to be a good mix of new and old going on, which is great. Although after watching Force Awakens again a few days ago, and this trailer now, I'm surprised at how suddenly inept Stormtroopers became for three movies! I'm mostly interested in the new Imperial characters (for minifigures), so that new white suit officer is intriguing--granted I'm sure he'll be killed off, like most of these characters on account of never seeing them in the original trilogy. I hope we don't have to wait forever to see who Mads Mikkelsen plays, like with Marvel's Dr. Strange movie. I'm also interested in seeing more from Donnie Yen's staff wielding character--he really gives the Kanan vibe (considering the S2 end of Rebels).
  13. Surprisingly fair distribution in this wave, very equal. Although that being said, I don't know why anyone would want to buy a whole box--considering how specific each character is.
  14. That's an unconfirmed rumor--I think that sprouted from the fact at Filoni noted they already know the 'full story' of where it's headed, and then the media assumption that Rebels was made just to lead into Rogue One. Personally, I think it's unlikely that it would end on its third season, considering its popularity and new story potentials following the season two finale.
  15. Well Ahsoka's "death" was intentionally ambiguous. Director Dave Filoni wanted it that way (although he apparently knows definitively one way or the other), in that you could she her as either still alive or dead. Granted by that ambiguity, it implies life more than death but whatever. Personally I feel she's dead--it would be rather cool to see her as a neutral white force ghost, rather than a blue Jedi ghost. That all being said, it also appears from comments Filoni has made about said episode/situation, that we won't be seeing Ahsoka again on Rebels regardless, alive or dead. ...now if we could just get rid of Rex! Well just to play devils advocate--Luke chose to close his visor and believe in Ben/the Force...Kanan had no choice in the matter of his eyes being sliced out. I don't think there's anything comparable in Star Wars (movie/show wise) to what happened to Kanan. Luke was able to see and celebrate after destroying the Death Star--Kanan was not even able to walk straight without Chopper. They're very different challenges. I don't think he'll be useless, and I do think the story potentials are now very interesting. So as much as it pains me, and Kanan, to see him like this--I'm excited to see where his story goes.
  16. And All the Powers of Hell!

  17. I do hope that we end up getting some exclusive Ahsoka/Rebels set this summer. It would seem like a missed opportunity, since the Rebels sets thus far, and even the ones coming out in Spring, are largely based on the early half of season 2--so they missed all the good stuff! On a potential Ahsoka set:
  18. Are these not collectible? The title is fine as is, and does not need to be further altered.
  19. I wasn't letdown--but I do have a hard time seeing how some reviews claim that this was the best thing ever. I want to believe that, but I think I'm still reeling from the episode actually. I have to view it a few more times before I can make a claim like that. However it was good, but ambiguous, and it frustratingly makes you want season 3 to start immediately. The wait is going to be horrendous for that. Now onto the spoiler-y stuffs:
  20. No doubt in my mind that these will be popular now--I mean when you're driving to work and they start talking about the Disney Lego minifigures on the local radio! It did get me to scream at the station when one host asked the other if they were mystery bagged--"yes, but it doesn't matter," I exclaimed, "each figure has a distinct piece that'll make it easy to identify them by touch!" Then they played a soundbite of Jimmy Fallon joking about the figures.
  21. Don't jump the gun--I just altered it for clarity.
  22. I'm expecting Ahsoka to be mercilessly killed by Vader (and I'm also in the camp that thinks that should happen), but I don't necessarily think that taking the obvious route is the wrong route--at least when it seems to be the correct route. Its the natural circle of her story arc; we all knew something final had to happen her and Anakin since the beginning. Now, that being said, I would be disappointed if no Jedi die, or if no one dies; considering the stakes, but that's not the case--at least according to Forbes spoiler-free review out today. It's just all about who will die. I don't think there will be a time jump--at least not now. I could see that happening maybe next season (to edge closer to Rogue One time frame), but I don't think they'd throw that in at the end or anything. I do generally like the slow burn style Rebels has anyways. Season 1 after all was almost entirely on Lothal. Granted now I want tomorrow to come now! Incidentally, if the wait is truly killing anyone (like me! ), a few weeks back DisneyXD altered their app--now you can watch any new show immediately on the same day it will air. If you watch the show through the app (like I do utilizing AppleTV), you can watch any time the same day; earlier than the air time. Gives you a few hours of "I know what's gonna happen, and you don't!" syndrome however.
  23. Spectacular wave. They look nice in actual photos (granted some more than others)--especially Maleficent, who looks stunning. Alice may have benefited the most however, as she looks amazing and her accessories are perfect. Not sure why everyone was (and is) so harsh on her. There does seem to be some noticeable quality issues in regards to the prints though, such as Pan's legs--hopefully that's all fixed. I'm still iffy on Mickey and friends. From the HD photos, the ducks do have some tail piece that we cannot see, but it's really Mickey whose the weakest unfortunately. Still he's a must have on principle alone. Ursula is still my favorite I think (maybe Maleficent beats her, but it's close)--although I still hate that they used a black torso as her base instead of a lavender one, no doubt this was just a cost saving measure. I think I'll be picking most of these up. I'll skip the terrible Toy Story ones, and a few others, but on the whole I think it's a great wave that's worth getting.
  24. Characters look great--hopefully we'll end up with all of them as physical figures. I think it's hilarious that Killer Croc utilizes the old Lego crocodile mold for his face--genius! Penguin looks great, we might even get a Mad Hatter out of him too. I'm iffy on Ivy and Harley, and I'm not sure why they had to alter the new Scarecrow minifigure. Really not sure about Two-Face. I like his costume, but it's hard to make out his face and it doesn't look like it's split down the middle to me. Also Clayface is super cute--we better get a brick built one!
