  1. I've been speechless about the news all day! It will still take me quite a while to be able to coherently put my thoughts down. But my initial reaction is extreme excitement! I have no doubt that Disney/Lucasfilm will deliver quality Star Wars content for many years to come.
  2. I think he was referring to the plausibility of actually parting out 10134.
  3. YES!!!!! This is fantastic news!
  4. I really hope that Lego continues this theme beyond the first wave. We already know that characters like Casey Jones and Leatherhead will be making appearances on the show, so there will definitely be fantastic minifig potential. Not to mention April!!! From everything I've heard, however, TMNT toys are expected to be hot sellers. The unfortunate thing is that they won't be widely available until after Christmas.
  5. This is one of the most incredible LEGO creations I've ever seen. Wonderful job!!
  6. Bofur is my pick! The hat is the clincher for me.
  7. I agree. I had just finished purchasing an army of about 80 stormtroopers when Lego came out with the new torso in the Endor battle pack. The new printing is nice, but yeah it is frustrating to a degree.
  8. I definitely agree with all of your suggestions. I'm a big proponent of location-based sets in any licensed theme, and I think the Superheroes line would benefit from more of them. I would even throw in a Fortress of Solitude set for good measure.
  9. Overall, it's a pretty lackluster wave. I'm happy that the Obi-Wan and Ahsoka minifigs have gotten an update, but I'm disappointed that there are only 3 movie sets, the rest being from either TOR or TCW.
  10. What do you mean? The site looks updated to me. Last week it was just a bare bones landing page.
  11. Very nice - and clever use of the Sandtrooper helmets! The 'dirt' adds a nice bit of detail.
  12. I really like that Turtle Lair set!! Honestly, it's even better than what I was expecting. I love the 'tiered' approach they took with it, going all the way up to street level. So far, this will be the first set that I buy.
  13. I had to resort to eBay for it, but I got the NYCC exclusive Chibi landspeeder. I had the other two already and had to complete the set. Plus, it's the best of the three IMO.
  14. LEGO just released this statement about how to get the exclusive Kraang minifig: Don’t miss an exclusive LEGO® Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ event at the LEGO® Store! On Saturday, October 13th, help us celebrate our newest theme! Visit the LEGO® Store at Rockefeller Center and get a sneak peak of a LEGO® Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ set launching in January 2013! Plus, be one of the first 300 people to visit the LEGO® Store at Rockefeller Center, dressed as your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle™ and you will receive a free exclusive minifigure! October 13, The LEGO® Store at Rockefeller Center Saturday, October 13: 10 am – 8 pm Hm....a set reveal? I wonder if it'll be different than the Shellraiser that was already shown.
  15. I'm hoping for that as well! A $50-80 S@H exclusive of the original turtle van (w/ all 4 Turtles, Splinter, April, Casey Jones, and Shredder) would be incredible.
  16. Well yes, of course characters like Saesee Tiin need a headpiece. There's a lot more detail there than just a bald head - same goes for the goblins (which have grotesquely-shaped heads). Keep in mind that one edition of the Mordor orc didn't have a headpiece, either, so historically Lego has never given a minifig a headpiece for ears alone. Thanks for the correction. I only ever seem to get those two confused, for some reason.
  17. Nah....bald characters have never had anything special other than a plain stud. I think it looks just fine that way. The only minifig that does bother me is Ori. Ron Weasley's hair was a terrible choice there (overall the minifig doesn't look much like the character at all).
  18. It's so great to see that this theme is finally confirmed! I'm a big Turtles fan (the new show is great!!) and the matchup with LEGO is perfect. I'm all in for this theme.
  19. I think this might be over thinking it a bit. I'm pretty sure it's just a stylistic move; no more, no less. I'm not very into anime, but I did pick up on some anime-like animation techniques in the show. Maybe the white eyes originate in anime as well...
  20. Did you not read two posts above yours?
  21. ^^This. I can't even begin to describe how ecstatic I would be.
  22. After seeing the premier of the new TMNT show on Nickelodeon today, I've got to say I'm very excited for these sets!!! I had my reservations about the new show, but they pulled it off brilliantly. I actually laughed out loud several times. Great show so far, here's hoping they keep it up! By the way, it's available for viewing at nick.com here. Pretty cool, since I was worried they wouldn't be made available online.
  23. Nope. Just off the top of my head, Anakin refers to it as a "laser sword" in Episode I.
  24. No, they can't. The logistics of designing, producing, and shipping a new set is a process that takes much longer than a single month.
  25. I didn't say there aren't more ROTJ sets they could do; obviously there are. It's just that the past year or so has already been quite ROTJ-heavy. From a marketing standpoint, it makes more sense for LEGO to focus on the 3D releases of AotC and RotS for the Summer 2013 wave, as those films will be more at the forefront because of their re-releases.
