I don't know what other ROTJ sets we can realistically expect, guys. We have the Ewok Attack, Endor battle pack, Jabba's Palace, and Skiff on shelves now; and the Rancor Pit, A-Wing, and UCS B-Wing are all on the way...

I completely agree. I could see them doing a slightly different version of Gollum in every set he's in.

I've been waiting for Shopko to drop their clearance prices, and sure enough they did. I picked up the Mandalorian and Clone Trooper battle packs for $7.49 each, and (not SW related) the buildable Joker for a whopping $3.74!

I will be one very happy collector if they make most of what's on these posters! So many great possibilities here...

I agree, Fives. Based on the trailer he's not quite Cave Troll size, so something similar to the Hulk would be good. Only much fatter and uglier, obviously.

From my experience, Shopko has a decent LEGO selection but with a pretty severe markup (similar to the Toys R Us markup).

That should make one ugly minifig. I for one am ready for The Hobbit sets to come out. I need some more Middle-earth sets to buy.

I agree. IMO, a good strategy would be to have a new UCS playset released every 2-3 years with UCS ships released every year. And some character UCS sets (i.e., Yoda and R2-D2) sprinkled in here and there.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE....!! I'm going to have to watch it a few times just to digest it all. Also, the official Hobbit site has all 5 different endings to the trailer. Hilarious!

All I know is that this talk has me quite worried for the theme. It's hard to believe that we went from speculation of the line lasting years (probably no a valid point to begin with) to LotR being discontinued sooner than expected. I really hope that's not the case.

Wow, talk about short notice!! I can't WAIT for this! I loved Padawan Menace, so I have pretty high hopes that this one will be a worthy follow-up.

It's exactly this sort of news that makes me want to go buy more sets and support the line (albeit in my own little way). That said though, it's way too early at this point to be making any judgment calls about the theme ending. The Hobbit hasn't even hit theaters yet, and I expect we'll see a sudden surge in LotR interest when it does.

Tell me about it. I just got through amassing quite a considerable army (around 75) Stormtrooper minifigs...only to have this new torso released. Oh well.

Hm...yeah, I noticed that as well. Right at the end of the interview. I'd say that's as good as confirmation as anything that Tom Bombadil will be in the game. I wonder if that bodes well for a minifigure? I could see LEGO releasing it as an exclusive at SDCC or something.

Yes, that's definitely a steal! I got mine from Amazon at $84 thinking they wouldn't last long; over a month later, and they're still available at that price.

Here in the U.S., I've only seen it at Toys R Us. The description pretty much says it all; it's a trans-green plastic case for storing LEGO, with a printed image of Frodo on the front. It also comes with a green 24x24 baseplate (I think that's the size).

I finally got around to building the Orc Forge today. Great set!! I'm really impressed with it, to the point that it's one of my favorites from the wave. I love the light brick feature (it's a lot brighter than I was expecting) and the "hand of Saruman" armor pieces. I'd love to get my hands on several more of those elements, but it's going to be tough...
