  1. Anyone have a link to the Little Mermaid set? EDIT: nevermind....
  2. C'mon Fives, tell us how you really feel. ;-)
  3. YES!!!!!!! And in actual minifig-scale too!!!! This will be a Day 1 buy for me.
  4. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed, if a bit unsurprised, by the end of the LOTR theme. It's a sad time, for sure.
  5. Great work, Proxy!! This is exactly what I want to do with this set. Waiting to get a second copy around Christmas time for a steep discount.
  6. D2C = Direct to Consumer, or a Lego Shop exclusive set.
  7. Yesterday Lego's official Twitter page linked to this build for Slimer: It's not as good as a proper molded figure, but it'll do. Has anyone come across a better solution for Slimer?
  8. This is AMAZING news!!! JP is my #1 most-wanted theme. Like others have said, hopefully we get some sets from the previous films as well. Geeking out right now!!
  9. As a big Turtles fan, I do want to see the film. But I've decided to vote with my dollars and not see it in theaters. For now I'll stick to the absolutely fantastic Nick series.
  10. Until it's announced on Marvel.com, it isn't official.
  11. Ha!!! First thing's first...we need info on the movie itself first. It's still extremely early for rumors of the sets.
  12. You've gotta at least pick up Orthanc, if you haven't already. What a fantastic set.
  13. Yes!!! I've been hoping for a T-16 remake for a while now, and had a feeling it was coming. I'm definitely not counting on Tuskens being included, but it would certainly be a nice surprise if so. Really happy about the new AAT as well (hopefully it's a TPM version)!
  14. Not a fan of fun movies, huh? To each their own I guess...
  15. We won't be seeing any more Old Republic sets. Licensees are putting a hold on any 'Legends' material for the foreseeable future.
  16. Lego Hobbit/LOTR could also get a DK book eventually. That would be a great opportunity to include an Ian Holm Bilbo minifig.
  17. I'm really crossing my fingers for this one -- it's my #1 most-wanted license. Hopefully if Lego does end up producing sets, they pull an Indiana Jones and make some sets from the previous trilogy of films as well.
  18. I would hardly call every EU novel "groundbreaking" or "classic". Not by a long shot. The EU had a lot of hits and a lot of misses, but it will be fantastic to have one cohesive canon moving forward.
  19. Can't wait for this set!!!! Smaug is even better than I imagined. Hopefully there's more to the set on the left side of the image; but regardless, this is a must-buy for me.
  20. Wow!! Hats off to you -- an AMAZING MOC!
  21. Episode VII is shaping up to be AMAZING. Can't wait to finally get some brand new set designs in 2015 as well!!
  22. To preface my thoughts, I do own 10179 (which I didn't purchase as a set, but parted out via Bricklink and Lego directly. A very rewarding project!) I would definitely purchase another UCS Falcon, assuming it's unique and different than 10179. I don't think Lego would ever do a straight re-release, however. And I'm inclined to think that they won't make another Falcon the same size as 10179 (retail price on it would be more than 10179 was).
  23. Definitely a few years late to the party, but the model looks fantastic. Don't know if I'll have the spare funds to get it (it's a ways down my list of sets to buy), but it's gorgeous. Now.....how about a large D2C Marvel set, Lego???
  24. Yeah, I definitely follow you Fives. The show runners seem to be following more of an OT pattern with Rebels, which probably means we'll be seeing more character-driven conflict and fewer grand-scale battles. Time will tell, though.
  25. I think you're getting your labels confused. Preview figures and minifigs included in "exclusive" sets (e.g., Azog, AUJ Bilbo, the Star Wars chibis) have indeed appeared later on. But the true SDCC exclusive minifigures (which, up until this year, have all been Superhero minifigs) never have.
