The person above me holds spelling in high regard, just like me. :-P This would be one of the reasons why there's almost always a message "edited by Hairy Ruben" below my posts. Will you be my dad? :-D EDIT: Tomorrow I need to go to the store to pick up batteries so I can photograph my sig-fig and a small MOC I made and show you people. :-$ Why did I just say that? I'm tired, I've been watching the computer screen all day now and I curse Mr Norrington for the day he started this topic. I am now so absorbed by this topic it's almost impossible to stop. Against my better judgement. *wacko*

Judging from the syptoms described to me by the person above me, I, for one, 'd say the person above me suffers from an acute case of LEGOMANIA, a rare disease which, if not treated properly, slowly transforms the person in a brick. :-P (not a plant) Therefore this person is a ... a ... LegoHOLIC? *wacko* If that's even a word then. EDIT: This is like my 40th post just today, people might think I'm a spammer even though I most definitely am not one!. I am just getting addicted. 2nd EDIT: I have decided to go into rehab and get rid of my EB problem. :-D

The person above me would be right in his assumption that the person above him, who's (jeez I'm going to need to come up with a new line here) coincidentally also me, didn't know that the person now above me and back then, both below as well as above me,is supporting his wife by dieting with her. The human inside me can only applaud to such an initiative though the >:-) inside me finds it tempting to further seduce the person above him. (I'm speaking in third person about myself now? *wacko* ) I must consult the council of supreme hierarchs (the moderator council) on what steps to take next. To Isengard my loyal steed! And together we will chop down all Orks who stand in our way. EDIT, I think I've gotten addicted to this topic, seriously, a boring day and you get addicted to EB, it consumes me, it feeds on my soul, :-D

The person above me is falling for my evil (though actually good for EB), well thought of plan to seduce him with ice cream. >:-) It can be any flavour you want my friend, literally any, >:-) hahaha *leaves the room while still laughing to himself ... HAHA ... Falls down the stairs ... HA hu? Ouch, OOH ah!*

The person above has managed to get me back to my very first reply in this topic. A reply to somebody who also claimed I think too much. My parents agree. I can't argue ... :-/ Ice cream anybody? :-$

The person above me has been very helpful indeed, even though I'm now even more confused as to the true meaning of statelet. Apparently it'd be some kind computer program, am I right? In which case it would fall completely out of context in my previous posts and would now make them look like if they didn't make sense at all. Which they of course did and still do, otherwise I wouldn't spend so much of my own time stating the obvious in stately statements though that's getting old perhaps. :-P The person above me has finally confused me enough to slip by my pure genius and can thus finalize his plans for taking over Eurobricks, I would alert the avid, international, brick-loving, community if it were not for his incomprehensible confusion talents which have left me with a headache. :-| *wacko* I need to lie down 8-|

I agree with the statement of the person above me who stated something in his last not so stately statement about the person above him who coincidentally is me. I am funny, aren't I? *sweet* PS: I know what a statement is, I know all possible meanings of state or a state, I know what stately is ... But can somebody for the love of God tell me what a statelet is? :-P

Since I was the only one to tate something about a European news channel on here I think you're referring to me, or perhaps you are to people in general. In any case, I don't blame you, the media in Europe are LESS biased than in North America which is after all relative and doesn't necessarily mean they're NOT biased, there's indeed a difference, and as I said in one of my previous posts, I have noticed faults too in one of our own Belgian channels. Mistakes concerning source checking. In any case, I usually tend to not trust media as far as I can throw them and people who give any news agency their FULL trust tend to be very misinformed. You must indeed be quite naieve to think any news is noway biased. Just to reiterate: listening to all sides of the political spectrum, watching all different winged news channels and checking with as much (foreign) other, independent news sources you can find and have access to is usually a good way of finding out as much as you can. Obviously, knowing more than one language can only be beneficial, :-P I do think that BBC is LESS biased than FOX, though basically any news agency/channel would be. :-|

(any resemblance between the following and any actual event be it in the past, present or future is purely coincidental.) Repeat after me I, Hairy Ruben, do solemnly swear, that the statement of the person above me which he stated so carefully as to appear stately to other persons whether they may or may not have already made statements in this thread in the past, present or future, in fact equals the square root of a stately statement divided by PI (3,1415...) and subsequently multiplied by the second power of my pure genius. I hope that by stating this solemn and above all OFFICIAL statement, I have made my past statements clear enough for other people, who may or may not have stated something in this thread in the past, present or future, and may continue to proudly and stately serve the Eurobricks community by forever on stating about the endless possibilities of solemnly stating statements. Still with me? okay... May it forever be clear that I shall not state something about just anybody, I have to 'deem' these persons worthy or better yet 'stately stateworthy' if such a word even exist, so that I may forever possess the ability to keep refining the impossible to master art of stating the inevitable in a stately way by means of using all statelets at my disposal. This would now conclude the final end of my statement. PS: the guy above me has eaten my previous statement :-P and I lost track of my own post, not sure anymore what I was on about :-D

What game are we playing at the moment?
Opproperaar replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Zelda, the windwaker -
Meh, depends probably food > girl > health > lego or food > girl > lego > health and throw in my pets and gaming somewhere in there too at your leisure. :-P A girl would need to be pretty damn fun to be around with in order to beat my passion for food. Any girl would love me, am I not romantic? X-D

Now that you have to be making up. i can imagine going bankrupt on hookers, drugs, financial failures, gambling but LEGO? I've never in my life heard of a dude who went bankrupt cause of his love for LEGO, that's just taking the hobby too far. As for me, well, for now, I'm a careless teenager, atm I don't really buy LEGO, I do play with what I have, I just don't buy it atm cause, cause... I dunno really ah still. Anyway, as for your priorities, I would alter one thing food > LEGO > health > everything else, including girlfriend X-D (I don't have one though :'-( , perhaps because of that)[

Howdy from "The Mouth of Brickarms"

What surprises me, is sometimes I think YOU're funny, I must be delirious and in need for medical attention. 8- -
I love the idea of reviewing a minifig, as for the captain I join in on the popular notion that the head/torso combination used is quite ... wrong :-P The head is more reserved for experienced officers while the toorso would go for a manly, sturdy, smelly, disgusting, illiterate pirate. Especially with the knife placed right there. Personally, I have the way better one, the one with wooden peg, forgot his name, but he's my most precious minifig, I think 8-|

I'm loving this contest so far (even though I haven't posted an entry, nor will I) It'll certainly be difficult to choose which one I like best. *y* Hard Choice ON

Eh well, me and my bro each have an account, which were both created on the same pc I think, can't quite remember. In any case Errorist and Hairy Ruben are not the same person :-)

I am planning on building an APC soon, though I'm still wondering as to how and when, so it's possible i'll just end up in an enormous 'To Do' pile and get forgotten all together X-D

I would agree with you here (personally I seriously dislike FOX News too) but I don't think the link between rules such as - All houses are public buildings - All houses must be of the same, predetermined size - Bricks can only be owned by a team, never by an individual and comments such as the new rules were installed after teachers began to (quote) notice how their students behaviour began to mirror a class based capitalist society, one that we teachers believe to be unjust and opprssive. (unquote) to communism It's a perfectly normal link, to say: Hey, this ban on LEGO, given the circumstances which provocked it and under which the ban was installed and LEGO was soon after again re-intoduced in the classes, and this certain political/economic system (communism) are very much alike. Apart from that, Fox could seriously be a little bit more objective in it's reporting, although that's probably impossible. For example: When the reporter first asked a question to Jim Copland: he immediately asked (quote) "How ridiculous is this?" (unquote) to which Copland replies (quote) "This is really just proposturous" (unquote) Even though I fully agree with the fact that it's ridiculous, news agencies are supposed to be objective and never, ever take a side and be biased. Well, this would cancel out almost all the American media IMHO and most definitely FOX News. I agree, they just don't even try to appear objective and unbiased, they're just biased and don't even try to hide it! They just throw their own opinion on the table, in the news! As for the teachers, if kids are fighting over a piece, make them both sit some time out in the corner, telling the kid who first claimed property of what's in fact school equipment can't do that anymore and telling the other kid he/she can't start a fight over something like that and should instead report it to the teacher.

What was the last movie you watched?
Opproperaar replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Saw Shichinin no samurai recently. (Seven Samurai) a movie by Akira Kurosawa. I must say that my dad had to encourage me to watch it as it's a a Japanese black and white movie from the 50s but once I saw it, I was sold. Moments of relieving, funny, black humour are thrown in between quite well filmed action scenes and scenes which show the preparation of the defence against the robbing bandits, all against the backdrop of the nice and beautiful Japanese landscape. That movie is in short, awesome, the Magnificent Seven was based on it. I have discovered some other great works by Kurosawa too. And now I'm even beginning to like black and white movies. A good example that not all teenagers are addicted to action packed Hollywood crap. *y* I'd recommend it to all. -
Selling my HUGE collection of boxed Space
Opproperaar replied to DJ Force's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I admire how you kept your collection so neat and clean and intact over theyears. Sorry to hear you have to part from it :-( 8-| Sadly, I'm not that much of a space person, if it were pirates, I would have gladly taken some off your hands. sorry. :-/ -
That dead bunny lying there cracks me up every time :-D the way the stormtroopers turn their head is hilarious, but the funniest thing I think, is the elevator music, I can just imagine the typical elevator scene based off it already. Darth Vader and the Emperor + some stormtroopers standing there, the music's playing. dum-di-dom-dam-di-di all of the sudden somebody farts *utter astonishment* emperor turns around* Okay who did that? Afraid of getting killed nobody says a word. Two seconds later somebody farts again and everybody in the elevator cabin moves to one corner leaving one little LEGO stormtrooper standing in one corner. He notices, stares at everybody and asks WHAT?!? Ah, how funny. :-D :-D

So, to all the people from Belgium and perhaps, the southern part of the Netherlands, who's going to the boekenbeurs over the course of the next week or so? Since I live in Antwerp myself, I was planning on going perhaps somewhere this week to get a good book on sailing vessels or maybe even warfare. Yet they're all so darn expensive. In any case, who of you will do so too? :-) (going over there, not buying a book on sailing vessels that is. :-P )

I have a sigfig though unfortunately there are two problems standing in the way. 1) My camera's battery power is low :'-( :'-( :'-( (though I could easily go to the shop) 2) My parents find it silly to use the family's digital camera on LEGO. I feel like crying right now :'-( :'-(

BAHAHAHAHA Sooo :'-) funny I wish I had one :'-(

I really like art nouveau in which case I love in the perfect community as there's a world famous boulevard in my community, the Kogels Osylei, where almost every house is built in that style. Houses by amongst others Victor Horta. I'm not sure if anybody here's is familiar withat boulevard though :-P anyway, I thinkit'd be awesome to have some lego sets of art nouveay buildings and art deco as well of course. They combine steel with glass and wood perfectly. :-$ Victor Horta's style architecture This is a dome of the Grand Palais in Paris.:-) and of course Art Deco which isn't as spectacular but looks nice anyway.
