Great build Believe it or not but green nose pieces is exactly what i was planning on a new moc, but the cockpit/fuselage parts are realy hard to find on BL in that color since they only appear in 1 set i noticed. Almost bought them in regular blue but then started to wonder if it wouldn't look to much like a police train... Dark blue is still an option now

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
AE bricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I think TLG should not re-release but create more and newer designs indeed. Still no news about a trainstation in the city line so an expert creator one might be a welcome surprise for 2019 -
Amazing build. Does it run smoothly in standard curved track?
-
I've just made a similar request in dutch in the LEGO service desk. Looking forward to see if they still offer this same solution for everyone who asks. Have bought the set a few days ago in a webshop though, priced at 110 euro seemed fair.

Should you only purchase Lego at a "Lego Store" or S@H?
AE bricks replied to LegoDW's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree, there are many bricks you won't find in Pick a brick, so for building Moc's you will soon or late notice buying parts on Bricklink is a great and efficient way to get your hands on the parts you need or even older sets that already retired in retail or brand stores. -
Are the backlights on the black one stickers?
-
This is truly great. So it can be done without cutting the fuselage part right? To bad these are so rare in green, i just checked BL but with S&H its getting far over budget. Wanted to build one like these someday: Although it would need dark green rather then green ...

Hi BrickMusher, Would you happen to know of there are any photos providing more info on the locs in 0:15 of this vid? Great integration of airplane cabs on these, looks interessting.

The power points are great indeed. The computerscreens on the top floor give it a nice touch too. If the white box on the outsider is an airco fan you might consider part 3680 (turntable base 2x2) for a replacement. If you turn 180° in street view (the first link) the shed behind the gate looks great to recreate in bricks aswell

Thanks for your input. As mentioned in the hiden content of the post my idea was based on belgian railways NMBS HLE 13 series (by Alstom) which is by design symmetric. I will try different colors on the grill plates soon to replace the black ones. As for a next project i would like to build a Vossloh G2000BB like this one: Although it will be almost impossible in 6 studs wide. Once i get my hands on a reasonably priced PU set i'll get started. The windows worry me a bit. Could use some examples on how to fix those
-
Great, I will give that a try but need to check how many grill plates I have in those colors, might need to order some on BL first. Thanks to all the others as well, the votes are quite clear. AE

It's a very simple question, which one looks best ? My idea was to build a tandem loc, so both would have to look more alike and thus one of them would have te be adjusted again, or should I keep them the way they are? The story behind this can be read in the spoiler further down this post. Greets, AE

Would you happen to know how sensitive the color sensor is? Does it detect the difference between light/dark bluish grey and the old grey types for example?

MOCs: Models of trains running in Hungary
AE bricks replied to Ashi Valkoinen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Not only a stunning MOC (I like the dark red color scheme a lot) but also marvelous photography. Great job ! -
Did I get it right, you just add a collor sensor and it moves up and down between the 2 collored tiles (no matter what collor they are) without having to use the app ? Does any one know if the collor sensor is very energy consuming? I like the idea a lot but I just hope it doesn't drain the batteries to much.

In the video the front loc has headlights (watch 3:30) so that's most likely the one with powerfunctions. Can 't say of the other one is powered aswell. Yet there are (only) six wagons so it would run smooth just on one PF motor.
-
Very nice display. I like the tandem CSX locs

I would like to try something very similar with the new power up Bluetooth gear. Without the IR receiver there's probably a bit more room to fit everything in place although the new battery box will still make it look quite tall.
-
Stunning design. Great work!

Small layout on a door - now completely custom!
AE bricks replied to sed6's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Looks great with optimal use of space. -
I would buy them if the price is reasonable, especially to obtain the power up Bluetooth gear. I would sell some of the parts i don 't need like curved track and minifigs. The new cargo train looks like fun for children but I don 't see why i would want a crane on top of a wagon or that vault with the terrible design TLG came up with. A boycot won't work, thousands of sets will be bought just to break up and sell as parts on bricklink. Plus 4 years is a long time ... Lets hope a great expert creator train or new Maersk train comes to light in 2019.

I think dark blue or dark green would combine great with cream white and gold collored details.
-
Didn't know that could make such a difference. Just tried it on my moc and works great, thanks. Looks very nice in those collors. I like how the black doors fit the design perfectly.
-
Very nice, about 60 pieces and price near 4 euro definatly puts this on my wanted list.
-
Very nice design, exept for the handrails which would look far better in white or black instead of yellow in my opinion.
