Corlanders like to count consecutively. I'm sure a few regiments were wiped out during the Juniper Wars... -

[OOC] Organising the rebuild of Mesabi Landing
Ross Fisher replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I've been thinking of building you a guys a Bonfire of Vanities. Somewhere warm and snug for you to put all your heretical literature/corpses/ship timbers. If there's anywhere in Mesabi Landing that you're not storing dynamite, it could go there... It would be larger than my last bonfire, but would probably only represent a small build in terms of scale. I was also thinking of doing a series of build about the funeral business. I could kickstart this in Mesabi Landing if you want. -

That's fine. Give me a heads up so that I can question him first. In the mean time I'll keep him safe and sound... @Khorne there are! -

We respect the rule of law. It's not called The Order for nothing. -

Chateau D'Ouennes | medium fort -
Really neat. The shorter bowsprit makes for an older looking ship. Overall, it's very tidy. Like it.

@gedren_y The Order respects political boundaries. We're not the type to risk a diplomatic incident just to burn a few heretics. Much though we might want to... -
[FB - OL] Chateau D'Ouennes - a fort for Acropolis
Ross Fisher replied to Ross Fisher's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Roadmonkeytj more cannons; understood. Although there are multiple ways to help defend a location. I was also thinking of adding a signal fire, so that the fort could warn the town of danger. It would also mean I could fire hot-shot! You could also put chains across the town harbour like in GoT. Or they could use local reefs and shoals tactically. Move boays and markers if an enemy fleet is sighted... I'm just spitballing though. -
Chateau D'Ouennes is a medium fort just off the coast of Acropolis. It is inspired by the Chateau D'If from the Count of Monte Cristo, and the St Mary's Tower in Comino, which stood in for the real fort in the film. It will be functioning as a prison for heretics, criminals, political malcontents and debtors. If you'd like to imprison someone here, please let me know! I will be working this fort into the Padré's storyline, but only when his AMRCA is over. Interior: I am going to keep making changes to it, so comments are appreciated. @Kwatchi I've included Robin the cabin boy in that cage. It's only a small hop from Infero Pordejon, so it makes sense that he might end up here. Are you still ok with that?

@Professor Thaum you could also use the flexible two-axle technic part. -

@mccoyed I think the studio behind SWTOR copped out a bit and made them more human because they didn't want to have to animate a face that looked like the traditional Bothan face. -

@MKJoshA Cathar are the "Cat People" of Star Wars. I think @mccoyed brought them up because the Chima cat heads work perfectly for them. I've actually included one on the far-right of my intro build, but he is mostly in shadow. In SWTOR, both species look pretty similar, but Bothans have longer ears. Outside of of SWTOR, Bothans look far more animal, they've got a protruding snout, the eyes are on the side of the head, and they have longer hair. Check out this guy. I've got this part, which I'm planning to use for Bothans. However, I think you could totally use Chima heads to represent both. Both options do a good job of representing both species. I'm also excited about the upcoming CMF Oz Lion for this reason. [quietly realises that he has written an essay on the subject and realises he sits at the heart of a nerdy Venn diagram...] -
@Drunknok Hope you're all ok buddy? PM me if it would help.

Traditionally, it would be Fox. Do you mind telling me what a ring-tail is? I would've liked to have a larger pack of hounds, and I would've preferred beagles, but I only have two dog figs. The other one is a French Bulldog, and I'll probably end up using him at some point... @Capt Wolf @Professor Thaum Thanks!

@Keymonus Confession time: I just repurposed the base from a Samurai build a while back: @Drunknok Yeah, I think you're probably right. Oh well. Guemain is the family seat of the François family. The head of the family is Hercule François, Viscount Guemain. I'm intending to expand all this background at a later date. If I ever do something truly noteworthy, I'll ask Oleon to promote him to Count.

[MMC] Merrynight Mini-Challenge 2018
Ross Fisher replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Boxing Day Hunts are still a thing in the UK, and I had wanted to showcase the Guermain Hunt for a while. This seemed like a good opportunity. -
If there is one tradition that all four François siblings enjoy, it is the Merrymorn fox hunt, the day after Merrynight. The Guemain hunt is not as well established as some of the others in their corner of Oleon, but with the François family behind it, it has proved quite popular with nobles looking to work off that morning-after paunch.

[WTCM] WTC Monthly - Issue 13, December 618
Ross Fisher replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Drunknok Kinda glad. I am also pretty short on building time right now. That said, I'm surprised you did. The Padré has burned a man alive since your last issue! I look forward to the return of the back page.
