  1. Everyone has covered all I need to say. Just, really well done!
  2. I should probably be sure to focus on this part. We're the Clone Wars part of the Old Republic era, or did they come after? My character is too young to remember the Old Republic.
  3. @Nicotoa I think this is similar to the ABS builder challenge on Flickr. You can (and possibly should) use the Seed part multiple times, in creative ways. @MKJoshA Can you confirm or deny that extra points may be awarded for creative use of the seed part?
  4. Is this world flat? On any globular world, something that far away would be hidden by the curvature of the earth.
  5. @Roadmonkeytj ah, I had the scale wrong. I thought it was built on large prefab peices. Yeah, prob a class 2 then.
  6. @Roadmonkeytj maybe a crew? Might make it look a little busier. I know I'm guilty of keeping my ship empty, so I don't blame you. I'd say it's a class 3, although it's obviously a little stylised.
  7. It's a beautiful ship. Wish I'd built it.
  8. Sorry, I did mean to imply the equivalency. Thanks for picking it up. Maybe not in the cabin, but below the waterline or on deck? I reckon you've got space for sacks or goods. Possibly nets of fish?
  9. My understanding is that, if you wanted to transport troops, one unit of cargo equals ten men. One unit of crew equals five men. You'd think that the seasoned sailors would take up less room than the soldiers, but you've probably got to consider personal effects, and all of the officers needing their own cabins...
  10. @Bregir ah. I was thinking of a trimaran and working backwards, but thanks for the tip.
  11. @Bregir Thanks, what's the difference? Is it about the size of the hulls?
  12. @TomSkippy Thanks! I don't have controlled lighting for my photos, so I have to wait for the right time of day. Luckily this one worked out well!
  13. @Fraunces Thanks! The miniminifig is supposed to be in the bows, though. A'chua himself is at the stern. Appreciate your point about the sail, though. Lego don't make it easy to attach items at 45° angles...
  14. @LM71Blackbird Thanks! I feel like I could've come up with a better way of attaching the net, but this doesn't look terrible.
  15. @TomSkippy Thanks! @blackdeathgr @Roadmonkeytj Appreciate it. The roof is held on with Mixel joints. I was going for ramshackle, so I'm glad it's coming across.
  16. @blackdeathgr I understand why you wouldn't like it. The join can be hard to hide, but I think the net covers a multitude of sins.
  17. @Professor Thaum Thanks, it's based on a Christmas decoration I made two years ago. Flickr won't let me share the link right now, but when I get a chance, I'll do it.
  18. Mad Hamish MacSpud has brought his War Coracle. The highland lochs aren't big enough to support big boats, but when a clan is out cattle reaving, they use these to get across the water. I have wanted to do a coracle build for a while. It's a class 0, so I won't be entering it. Trust Mad Hamish to turn up with a boat that can't keep up with the other pilots. A'chua's Catamaran - My Category B Class 1
  19. A'chua hails from the New Haven seas, an area as-yet unmapped by westerners. He has always followed his thirst for exploring, with his small outrigger the perfect vessel for his needs. One day, when exploring islands to the West, he encountered an Oleonaise fishing vessel. While communication was not straightforward, the sailors were able to trade with A'Chua for valuable fruit. In thanks, they informed him of a sailing challenge on a nearby island, and even gave him a swatch of cloth, so that he could enter for Oleon. Class 1: R: 3 M: 5 G: 0 C: 0 $: 0 H: 1 Built and licensed
  20. Excerpt from Junior Partner Lloyd's first report back to Londa, intercepted and copied by Section 13's man in Mardier. ...Pilots are turning up in ones and twos. Some famous faces among them; Mad Hamish MacSpud; A'Chua of the New Haven Seas; Santiago Delarosa Montifiori Calvaderos and his family; Some are carrying out surveys of the surrounding seas before the race routes are announced. I've signed deals with a couple to acquire their charts once this is all over. I should be able to compile a half-decent map of the area! The Grand Duke seems a bit impatient. I guess he thought Prio would be more of a draw. I don't think they've done too badly, all things considered. I mean, the accommodation here is rubbish and there's nothing to do! I was hoping there would be a coffee shop to hang out in, but it looks like Prio forgot our civilised ways when it cut itself off from Old Halos and declared its independence. For context:
  21. @Captain Dee It would probably work better if you published the posts piecemeal, as a long scrawl of text might be off-putting. Keen to see what you've written, though. Is there any way to make the builds smaller and quicker? Forced perspectives, micro-builds, minifig-led scenes?
  22. That stop-motion is excellent! Brilliant attention to detail.
  23. @Captain Braunsfeld And is it an African or a European swallow?
