  1. Agreed. Don't forget though, you could also use these guys (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=99781#T=C) to add a half-stud worth of width. Might be worth investigating...
  2. We need conquest rules so that Oleon can go and assault Verona.
  3. I saw a couple of them, but I didn't realise there were so many! Here: https://www.bobkehl.com/ I can understand the scepticism. But what's the point of having it if you're not allowed to flaunt it?
  4. Has anyone seen Bob Kehl's pirate pin-up drawings? They're really good. I was kinda inspired to make this: Not exactly the standard CMF but I tried to represent all 4 factions.
  5. We were planning an AMRCA, but never got round to it. I might do my own storyline based on the work we've already done. If there are any more details you think we need to flesh out, let me know and I'll include them. I definitely saw them as something in this vein. Sat between other powerful nations, but with a rich culture and history all of their own. When we developed the GAS lore, it helped to imagine that the name was one given to them by the Halosians. The people referred to themselves Kolya's Folk or the Ghaskin Confederation. I imagine you would use the same consideration with the Middle Kingdoms, and make it a Sultanate or something similar.
  6. I do love the flag-stone courtyard. Very swish.
  7. Wait, are they yellowed bricks? I thought they might be, but I also figured they might be light tan or very light yellow. I love using knackered old bricks, so fair play if you managed it here.
  8. And risk the brotherhood of Poseidon or, worse, the priests of Zeus getting their hands on it? Never!
  9. True, but this is the weapon of the gods! I'm not going to mount it permanently on on the tiny escort that constitutes my entire fleet right now. Until I know I'm not going to to go bankrupt next month, I can't afford to shell out for a new ship.
  10. @Bregir Thanks for this! It's definitely going to be one of the first two options. I just have to see whether I can find the DBs (and the parts) to mount it on a decent ship. I'm assuming the temple would come free with the build?
  11. Have the prizes for all rounds been awarded? I know I didnt win anything, but I feel like I might have got some free builds out of this somehow...
  12. Are you able to help me transfer ownership @Bregir? @Capt Wolf?
  13. @Captain Dee it was good! I thought it was really well written and I got hooked. Kept looking forward to the next installment. I know a few writers online who have tailed off between episodes and left me hanging. So glad you didn't do that. My only worry is that you pushed Jay too far into "utter bastard" territory. I agree that it makes him more believable, but it makes the reconciliation between him and Olivia a little bit hard to swallow.
  14. @Ayrlego @Spud The Viking Good news everyone! @TheCubbScout is in, so we have an awesome foursome. If you DM me your email addresses, I'll kick things off.
  15. @Spud The Viking Hat accepted!
  16. Cool! Now we just need 2 more!
  17. Is anyone entering the Summer Joust this year? I'm looking at getting a team together for the collaborative quest category. So far I've asked @TheCubbScout and @Ayrlego. However, teams can be up to four people. So if anyone is interested in joining a potential BoBS team, send me an email address, and I'll send round a message.
  18. @BEAVeR Thanks! I really appreciate your comments! I felt like I didn't really hear much feedback at all about this build, so this is really great. I have to admit that I think you might be reading a bit too much into a couple of the happy accidents here. For example, I think the tilt of the bird's head was designed to make it look better on camera, rather than to emphasise the motion, and the curvature of the baseplates is just because I am a terrible person, and bend them in order to remove parts easier. However, I do appreciate the constructive criticism as well. It does look a bit weird that none of the plants are impacted by the action when everything else is, and I accept that the colour scheme on the bird is a bit off. This has left me reinvigorated, thanks!
  19. Finished it! Now where's my medal? Kudos to you for smashing out a serious work of fiction in such a short space of time. Hoping you'll add images soon?
  20. I did not realise. In that case, this discussion is wide open!
  21. @Phred Are you able to help me transfer ownership of the fort? I am still paying upkeep for it, and will be bankrupt in another month or two...
  22. As I mentioned on Flickr, I think two ports on each side would work best. That's mainly because I'm concerned about recoil and all the deck furniture (and getting around the boat). Two is enough for an armed merchant ship.
  23. I like the Anglerfish! It's a nice use of parts. I kinda wish it had been a bigger part of the story. Reminds me of the Firaxan sharks on Manaan in KOTOR 1.
