    I think you nailed the angle there, it's just the lighting part that can be really difficult. I'd be intrigued to know how Lego does their box art, I know it's not photos but some of the principles would be similar.

    Thanks, the classic lego style probably comes from the fact that lots of the parts I have on hand are very old, I don't have a lot of modern pieces!!

    I've found that, the Lambda one was the first I did and I think the lighting direction was very off. The Y-Wing I think was closer, but it still needs work.

    Got it, and I agree that simply changing some bricks to DBG would simply look cluttered and blocky.

    My word... that's amazing. I can hold my own when it comes to building with system, but as soon as you introduce technique I fall apart. I genuinely don't know how you do it, I struggled enough designing the folding wing mechanism in the Lambda from my profile picture! That Pagani is a masterpiece, you should be proud of it!!

    I also expect more sets to come - not sure if they'll go for playsets at all. I'd rather more sets like Rivendell, and I'm not sure how well playsets would sell. Depends on how much kids of today enjoy LotR.

    This looks simply incredible! As a 6"3" person who has been on the real thing, the second deck is far too tall It practically came up to my shoulder height!! Jokes aside, you absolutely nailed the proportions here.
