Congratulations guys, I'm sure you'll both do a great job! -
Amazing work Migalart, I was going to blog this but BEAVeR beat me to it! A truly epic build, it raises the bar once again for SW MOCs, and thanks for including some of the WIP photos

The more I look at this set, the more I'm impressed by it, apart from the underside. It just looks a bit unfinished, compared with the rest of the model. I'm really looking forward to building this though, a day one purchase for me

Hi, and welcome to Eurobricks! We have a general Q&A thread pinned at the top of the SW forum, I'll merge this thread with it in a bit It's a good question though; as much as I love Cloud City it does look rather dated, but it includes a rather special Lando (and a certain bounty hunter!). The Death Star contains lots of minifigures and is (relatively) great value for money. I could be totally wrong, but I'm quietly optimistic that we'll get another Cloud City in the next couple of years, simply because it's totally overdue and there's obviously a market for it. -
The Slave 1 looks amazing, it's going to be a day 1 purchase for me  I was expecting the underside to be a little more detailed, but overall it's far better than I'd anticipated; great work TLG!

Yes, I saw this when there were 20 live auctions running and used the basic 'Report item' option to flag a couple of them I don't know if it has any effect but I felt better for trying! It does seem to be a very odd strategy for a scammer... at least it wasn't dodgy UCS Falcons!

Hi, it will depend on which minifigures are missing. It might be worthwhile looking on Bricklink to see what the each figure is selling for, and then reduce your asking price accordingly. Here's a link to set inventory (the minifigures are towards the end of the page): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=10221-1 -

Hi CamillaBay and welcome to Eurobricks! There's a general Q&A thread pinned at the top of this forum, I'll merge this with it in a bit I'd have a look at the completed listings on Ebay, that should help to give you an accurate price range. Personally I'd build it to ensure that it's all complete, and then take a few photos to show the condition of it. -
Thanks just2good, my life is now (almost) complete!! I can't wait to buy this, it looks stunning

Hi hachiroku, you've obviously put a lot of time and effort into it, and it's a vast improvement on the current system-scale version However, I agree with Anio; the cockpit does look a bit odd compared with the rest of the model. Have you tried using something like the curved 50950 parts, or alternatively replicating the style of the UCS one? Personally I think that the edges of the docking rings should be the correct way up as well, but that's just me!
-
Hi apemax, the overall dimensions look pretty good, but as the previous posts have mentioned it does look a bit blocky. I don't know if you're looking for inspiration, but mortesv produced a rather stunning UCS version http://www.eurobrick...4136&hl=nebulon Good luck with the build, and I look forward to seeing your progress!

Great work for the Rebellion, and it’s always good to see IG-88 & Dengar! -
Hi vc59755, you're obviously putting a lot of time and effort into this. The scale and level of details are both very impressive! Have you calculated what the overall dimensions will be?
-
HI DarthYannick, and thanks for a great review! I agree that it's a nice set, but it's very overpriced. The UK RRP is £34.99, compared to £35.99 for 8089 (Hoth Wampa), which included a similar looking Speeder, Cave and Wampa! Apart from that, it looks a nice set and I'll probably buy one if I find it at a 30-40% discount.

Hi Proxy, and welcome to Eurobricks! This is a great improvement on the original, and I'm planning to do something similar when I can get a second set at a reasonable discount. I look forward to seeing the other sets that you've modified.

Hi legotrainfan, for future reference we have a Q&A thread pinned at the top of the forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit My SSD didn't have any old grey either (I purchased it shortly after it was first available). -
Could we possibly let this thread go? nokialover31, whilst I appreciate that you're obviously very passionate about a particular set it doesn't mean that everyone else has to be! We're all entitled to our own opinion and, amongst this knowledgeable community, they're all going to be equally valid

Hi AudiBoba, I tried Bricklinking a 10123 a couple of years ago, and most of the parts are relatively easily to find (and at a reasonable cost). However the main problem are the 4 x 'Light Gray Brick, Round Corner 16 x 16' which are very expensive. At the time I was only interested in new parts and admitted defeat, as the cost would have been prohibitive to finish it. It's probably better to find an incomplete one on Ebay, if you just want the set, and you can use Bricklink to source anything missing. To be honest, and as much as I love the set, it isn't anything special...so I've decided to wait for the new version (which has got to happen at some point!!) -
That's beautiful Therion, and certainly puts the official version to shame! I've updated the title of the thread, to confirm that it's yours

Hi kongman, there's a general SW Q&A thread pinned at the top of this forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit I haven't seen one myself, but perhaps some of the other EB members can help. -
Another top quality MOC markus, I don't know how you can build them so quickly! The bridge is really well designed, and I also like how you've constructed the partially-closed blast doors, it really adds to it
-
Hi vc59755, as you've already started a thread for this project I've merged them both together They're certainly very large feet, but have you considered the dimensions of the actual ship (e.g. will they be strong enough to support the total weight?). Good luck with the project, I look forward to seeing your progress.

Hi, there's a general Q&A thread pinned to the top of the forum, I'll merge this with it in a bit Good luck if you decide to build one via Bricklick, it's certainly a mammoth project! -
Hi markus, there isn't any height restriction unless MKJoshA feels that one should be enforced. So the sky is the limit, in theory (structural stability permitting! )
