  1. Great work MstrOfPppts! Perhaps it's finally time to change my SoNE Avatar to my namesake.. I've been meaning to do that for a while
  2. Hi Blackice200, there's a general Q&A thread at the top of the Star Wars forum. I'll merge this thread with it in a bit
  3. Thanks Doc, I've just had a couple of random ideas and we all worked from there! I've really enjoyed being involved, and working with such a great team. It's been very rewarding seeing the high standard of entries we've had, as well as the community spirit that has developed!
  4. Hi vc59755, and welcome to Eurobricks! There's a really helpful guide to deeplinking from Brickshelf: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18451 You can link the photos immediately, and you won't have to wait for the folder to be made public
  5. Hi zach06, and welcome to Eurobricks! I've cleaned several sets and, as you mention, I dis-assemble them, and wash the parts in warm water with quite a lot of washing up liquid. Rather than brushing them, I usually allow them to soak for a while and give the parts a gentle swirl around. If you then rinse them well with clean water they should be fine, but give them a decent shake to remove the water trapped in the holes! I spread them out on a towel and let them dry, moving them around a couple of times each day. For future reference we have a general Q&A thread pinned at the top of the forum, I'll merge this topic with it in a bit
  6. Hi killiandros, and welcome to Eurobricks! Hopefully one of the members can help with your question; personally I haven't owned a 10030 but all of the other UCS sets I've owned had the sticker loose inside the box. If it has been lost, and you want a copy here's a good quality scan: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ka5z2zb59x8fb9g/1yLUlUAnPM For future reference we have a general Q&A thread pinned at the top of this forum, I'll merge this to it in a bit
  7. Hi Bennemans, I've just merged your new thread into the main SW Q&A. As it's such a mixed lot I'd suggest Ebay; have a look at the 'completed' auctions and it should give you a reasonable indication of the value
  8. I've had several in the last year, the last three are as follows: Doesn't like the word 'Bob' - I actually don't like the word 'awesome' Needs Some Caffeine - From a comment I made during a rather complicated SoNE PM Needs Some Green - My most recent one, I guess because I don't have enough green in my life!
  9. I've just noticed that TRU website has the 'Geoffrey The Giraffe' offer again, terms as follows: How to activate promotion: 1.Add £15.00 worth or more of the Lego items listed below and the Lego Geoffrey The Giraffe (ref: 037179) to your basket. 2.Your basket will automatically adjust the price of the Lego Geoffrey The Giraffe to zero. 3.*This deal started 26 July and ends 21 September 2014, subject to availability. 4.Offer excludes multiple purchases of the Lego Geoffrey The Giraffe. Only one free item per transaction. 5.Offer excludes Lego Movie. I assume it's also available in-store as well....
  10. This set is now listed on the UK TRU website, at £99.99 I'm hoping that's just a massive TRU markup on the actual RRP, otherwise I can't seeing it doing well!
  11. Hi markus, you're allowed a total of 4 freebuilds during each Episode. We're still technically on Episode V and will be until Episode VI is announced I don't think that you'll have to wait that long though.....
  12. You'll have to wait and see, I get the impression it could be a rather interesting Episode, but time will tell. Without giving too much away there's going to be a bit of a change in emphasis, and it might be as a result of a new recruit Thanks again to everyone who made Episode V such a success, and hopefully Episode VI will be even better Oh, and don't all of the Imperial tags look nice!
  13. Hello everyone, a quick post to clarify a couple of things: 1. If any of the Imperials already have a tag from one of the previous builds you'll need to decide if you want to swap it (as you can only have one!!) 2. Points are the same as XP (congratulations markus1984, and apologies for not mentioning you in my original post!). The XP/Points for this Episode are separate from the freebuilds, so these will all be added together. 3. Apologies, again, for the delay in getting everything updated. I'm hoping that we can have a mass 'tidy' before the start of Episode VI. 4. Episode VI is almost ready, and I can safely say that it will be quite different from the previous ones; and MstrOfPppts you'll be pleased to hear that we've changed the scoring system!
  14. Following two rounds of judging, here are the scores for Episode V: Imperials 25 - The Invasion begins - markus1984 24 - Endor Construction Site - Disco86 22 - Uprooted - BEAVeR 21 - Inspection of the progress - MstrOfPppts 20 - Preparing for the Mission Hangar 29 - goatman461 8 - Into the Wild - LucasLaughing 7 - The Emperor does not share your optimism - Pointblank 7 - Burn 'em out - Wat Tambor 6 - Big Rig - VK-318 6 - The Decoy - Lego Spy 6 - Parts and Technical Crew - Artizan 5 - Ashamed of the empire - Nom Carver 5 - Death From Above - Lord Tyrus 5 - Clearing the area, the easy way! - Legofin2012 4 - Build the Shield Generator - KevFett2011 2 - Deporting the Natives - theman4090 Rebels 19 - Many Bothans Died... Well At Least One - MKJoshA 17 - Furry and Smelly - MontyPython 12 - Lumberjacks - Manx And, it's the first win for the Empire! It was inevitible I guess... Episode V and all! Thanks to everyone who participated, there were some amazing entries. And, thanks to the rest of the SoNE team who helped make this Episode run so well. We'll try and update the scores asap...and if any Imperials would like a new tag just add a post here. Episode VI is almost ready, and hopefully the Rebels will have re-grouped after getting lost in the outer rim searching for the Bothans!
  15. I'm going to reserve judgement on this until I see some other photos. Wookiees are always good, but it looks like it's part of the Galaxy Squad range, or perhaps that's just me!
  16. Hi Phil, thanks for the review! It looks better than I thought it would, but it's a shame that it's smaller than the previous version, although that seems to be consistent with the recent trend. I'll be interested to see if this is a TRU exclusive in the UK, and how much the RRP will be. I'm guessing about £70....
  17. Personally I'd love to have a re-release, or a slightly updated version. It could be a very clever move for Lego, if it's true, especially with the release of Episode VII. There's a lot of SW fans in their 30's & 40's with more money than sense, and a model of the most iconic ship in that scale could attract a lot of new potential customers, as well as addressing the current after-market frenzy for 10179. Even if it was £500+ I'm sure that a lot of fans/investors would buy one, especially if it was a limited edition, just take a look at what happened with 41999! Back in March a UCS-type Falcon appeared in one of the Lego videos (below, courtesy of Anio), I'm hoping that it was a hint from Lego!
  18. Roughly translated that means we've completed round 1 of the scoring and most of round 2, so the scores should be avialable imminently!
  19. Typically unusual, and highly creative!
  20. Hi Jdurg, we have a dedicated thread for Q&As at top of the Star Wars forum. I'll merge this into it in a bit. Cheers, Robin
  21. Hi mrsteve, and welcome to Eurobricks! As MrMan said we have a dedicated thread for collections, I'll merge this into it in a bit. Nice collection by the way
  22. It's a good question, and I don't think there's a right or wrong answer. Part of this stems from the gradual shift in TLGs approach, which doesn't help. Personally I agree that most UCS sets are big, detailed and usually include a display plaque. However, it was a strange move for TLG to brand the new Sandcrawler as UCS, but not include one... Also, it all seemed to fall apart when they included that bridge in the SSD, but that's another discussion entirely!
  23. I remember having similar problems with mine; the black and dark grey are very difficult to differentiate at times! It's not a bad model though and worth a bit of frustration
  24. Hi Cammo, I've just checked mine and it's about 46cm (length), 32cm (width) and 12cm (height). These are very approximate as it's not easy to measure! I hope that this helps.
  25. Hi, if you need replacement minifigures then Bricklink is probably the best option. Lego offer a replacement service for lost parts, but they don't sell licensed minifigures which is understandable. For future reference, We have a dedicated thread at the top of the SW forum to ask these sort of questions. I'll move it across in a bit
