ok, back to business!! A few updates , I like the mustangs rims !!! a bit on the big side and they do look good!! and transparency sucks on studio 2.0, It couldn't render the word Porsche correctly .. note to myself:: Must build it in real life!! A newer update on the fender's , the side view looks odd but from viewing at all different angles , its looks really great.. The rear sections still needs more work and will take advise from the tail to tall and the front end being to short.. I use to own a 72 Dodge Charger and my step father had a 70 Roadrunner and I think the front section overall seems to be to short if the model was built correctly.. sirslayer replied to sirslayer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Jim Thank you , Jim and you guys will watch my progress to ensure this will be all original design from the original. It was just good timing since i just started the "Porsche" project.. and never done any mechanics on the Porsche till now!!! The last time I used LDD , There was no fender panels like in the 42093 Corvette set!! and Studio is just way better since the latest update and i'll have a custom .io file for Jim only for the contest.. If im allowed to sell the instruction during he contest or I need to give it out for free which IDK?? , i just need to read the rules again!! ? Thank you to all for the nice comments and i''ll have some more examples of the rear tail setup and @Thirdwigg.. Thank you for the link.. Wow, even the other projects were good, like the helicopter which I also just started to build!! but that would be on a future post!! -

@JimThe posted pictures of the models are 3 different models I never finished and 2 of the 959 are only 13 wide and the monster motorized chassis is the 15 wide truck. i've posted in the last month I just combined the 3 models and I came up with this brand new 15 stud wide chassis for this contest.. it is 2 studs wider then the early post and here is the new 2.0 Porsche 959 !!! 959 by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr -

well if this model was in any color but black, i believe you can see the flaws a lot better!! at least they are saving weight by using the color black!!! -

@Void_S Lego could make a custom fender like they did for the Defender, the lack of even trying to have proper fenders even with a flex tube could of been used -

@Jurss Thank you and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone used the color orange!! but at this scale only light azure, red , orange and white are only available if you're planning to use those fenders.. it will be based of of this chassis but modified with a Porsche engine in the rear!! Porsche 959 by victormendoza_jr, on Flickr The Porsche 959 is the one of the first production cars to break the 200 mph mark and it was a technic wonder during the 1980's and I believe it's Porsche best super car ever!! I'll try to design a mini scale version with AWD and suspension , at least I have experience with mini models and have done AWD with suspension on the Corvette's scale and now ill try to squeeze all those features into the 959 body.. Rc mod for this model shouldn't be too hard.. Im surprised of the lack of a proper fender kind of killed the looks of the Charger .. too bad!!1
