Problems with 8110!?
FuzzyBallz replied to Beeman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow your 10 year old is building the Unimog? Holy crap, he must be an expert LEGO builder! I was building Castle and Pirate LEGO sets when I was 10! I finally opened up the 8110 last night, I'm building it today. Gonna be a lot of fun. The chassis looks awesome! I'm trying to decide if I want to do the plow in the front or the claw in the rear. -
I would get this if my cats don't chew it up the second they see it!

You know she's a keeper if she offer to build the Sydney Opera House with you. If she laughs at you, divorce immediately.

What's the one set that really pains you for NOT buying it?
FuzzyBallz replied to Artifex's topic in Community
8109 Flatbed Truck. I should've bought it when I got the 8110 Unimog. Ugh... -
42009 Mobile Crane MKII. This is a monster. I just started building the 8110 Unimog.

I'm a firm believer in violence is the solution to all problems. The other solution is of course moving as far as way from the problem as you possibly can.

MOC: Antarctic Snow Cruiser - An Epic Vehicle
FuzzyBallz replied to bigboy99899's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Somewhat interesting read. I can't believe they're dumb enough to put treadless tires on a snow vehicles though. Epic fail. -
Jergen, I only want to build that monster once, and I want it to be the best iteration of the model. If I have to wait 2 more weeks, then so be it! For now, I'll work on the 8110 that I had stored in the closet for the past year (just like the 9398 until I returned it for the 41999), then work on the VW T1 Van next!

The anticipation is killing me! I think I'll just go build the 8110 for now while I wait.

I have the 9488, the clone troopers are really well made, great prints on the helmet and torso of both. Didn't really care for the cannon or the battle droids. Never got into the Hero Factory type stuff, but these giant LEGO figures don't look half bad if you're using them for display. I think you get more wow out of the Hero Factory Stormer compared to the Star Wars battle pack. 70004 Wakz' Pack Tracker easily. It does cost 2x more than the 70001, but you get 3 better figures and a vehicle that has the spring loaded shooter!

Still waiting for somebody to pop in with the 00666.

I have a hard time believing TLG will never product orange or dark blue parts ever again. But with that said, the 41999 does have some really really nice PF parts like a pair of L motors, a servo motor, and a V2 IR! If I have unlimited funds, I would get a 2nd set of 8110 and 41999 as well.

Incredible MOC! Mind blown.

He doesnt have 50 sets. He probably has none and try to scam as many suckers as possible then run off with the money. Glad they stopped his account early to prevent people from being victimized.

Personally I got the 41999 for the looks and messing with my cats. If I want a rock crawler, I would get a real one.

Hmmm, I'm gonna try the 8070 wheels/tires on the 41999 when I get home tonight. Looks quite interesting.

All the 41999 wheels are like that. But if you're anal about the edge having thinner paint and have the patience, get a hobby airbrush with white paint, take off all 4 wheels and repaint them. Wow, what douche. He only has 4 ratings. I wouldn't give him my money even if he sells it at MSRP.

I received the 42009 and the box is a beast! I still have the 8110 NIB and this thing trumps it easily. The weight alone is terrifying! 11 lbs! OMG. I will wait patiently for instructions on the improved version before I open the box!
