I'm waiting for this F1 racer to appear on LEGO Shop online. Will buy with the claw crawler when they offer free shipping again because I sure's hell don't wanna get double charged with tax and shipping. I've seen and purchased Technic sets at Target stores, just not often. They're pretty updated on the latest LEGO theme sets like TMNT, Super Heroes, and SW.

Target has a sale on a number of SW sets, I picked up the X-Wing Starfighter 9493, wanted to pickup the matching 9677 Xwing Starfighter and Yavin 4 too.

I have a TRU 2 miles from me. I'm very very tempted to get a couple of big sets, but money's really tight right now, so I may have to pass.

9490 Droid Escape. Fun built. I love the 2 desert storm troopers.

Good pointers on the 4x4 crawler and the unimog, I have both in boxes. Gonna be a helluva build when I get to it. Speaking of making mistakes, when I built the 8043 a few months back, after the model is complete and I was testing out the remote control, the gear shifting wasn't as smooth as I like it to be (The red switch on the model, that lets you change between the scoop arm and the movement of the excavator and spinning of the cab). I'm considering taking the whole thing apart and rebuilding it.

I finally built this beauty a couple days ago. Well, it took me a few days due to my work schedule. It's huge! The MSRP for this model is $119. Still up at LEGO S&H.

8043 was one of the first set of LEGO I bought after getting back into the LEGO game. It took me a while to build it, but everything about it, especially the arm, was amazing!

I would open it and build it and enjoy it. As long as you keep the original box intact and in good shape, you can always sell it later as an open box. If it's rare enough, I'm sure people will pay good money for it.

Definitely getting the Grand Prix Racer. Always wish I had the money to buy the Silver Champion when I was young.

Awesome review on the CMF sets Whitefang. I received a free series 7 bag from a LEGO Shop order yesterday, turned out to be grandma's visitor. Awesome! So I went out to TRU and bought 4 series 8 bags today. I received the evil robot, actor, vampire bat, and alien queen! I'm not too fond of the vampire bat, wish I got something else with accessories. I have to stop myself from buying more, it's out of control! I have 2 more orders coming from LEGO Shop next week, maybe I'll get a couple more CMF bags!

8051 sports bike/chopper is a real nice show piece that's also really cheap.

I finished building mine a few days ago. Took me a few days to complete. I made sure all the gears are free to rotate during the build. It came out nicely. The problem I have is my place has all wood floors, so the motion when the excavator's moving looks weird.

I'm not really into MOCs, so I just put all the LEGO pieces in freezer bags when I dissemble the sets.

So I recently got back to LEGO after 15-16 years, but my budget's really tight right now. I really want both the flatbed truck (8109) and unimog U400 (8110). The flatbed truck is wicked looking and will look nicely next to container truck (8052). But the Unimog is about the size of a minivan and will be an awesome conversation piece (not to say the motorized excavator (8043)). Or I can simply wait and not buy anything since I already have 12 technic sets...

When I was little, I used to buy mini robot sets from gumball machines all the time. If I see one of these LEGO flavored gumball machines at my local supermarkets, I'm definitely getting one each time I go shopping.

Just got back to LEGO couple months back. I started with LEGO robin hood set way back when, then into the castle and kingdoms, and pirates before I stopped. Don't know where all the sets are now, but I'm starting all over with just Technic sets. People know I'm into it. There's no shame in loving LEGO!

Don't have the service pack, pretty sure I have the updated 8043 (got it from Amazon after it came back to stock last week). All 4 LAs have 14x1 on them.

I bought this set last week when Amazon had a sale. The box is gianormous! I started building it last night. Took me just 30 minutes to sort out the parts, and 2 hours just for the bottle half of the machine. Next step will be the "engine" module. I think it'll take me a week to finish this model with my work schedule, but I'm sure it'll look awesome!
