Went to another local TRU today and asked if they had anymore series 9. They brought out a brand new box. My count of mermaids was off so I have a couple extra. Only needed one extra for a friend who is into mermaid stuff. Finished my collection of series 9. They said they had more boxes in the back but only put out a box when the current box supply dwindles. Get em before the BOGO sale ends! All in all this series doesn't thrill me yet it is one of the few I have a full set of.

I really like the duel set and hope TLG realizes a lot of people interested in SW themes appreciate the playsets. TLG has a lot to gain if it gives vehicles a break for a while and focuses on sets more. Even those who criticize jabba's palace and rancor must admit TLG planned this well. More like this would work great. That being said other than the duel set I do want the barge and the gunship (only because I missed out on both the other times they were released).

WF thanks for the great review. I finally got my hands on some of S9 last night. Got six figures, all different but I knew what I was getting by feeling the bags. Kinda a bummer that the figs I want the most are the rare ones. The only reason I want dupes in this series is to give to non-AFOL friends due to their interest in life similar to certain figs. I'm kinda glad I'm not as excited about this series.

Finally found them in SoCal at a TRU in Alhambra. The box was picked over but I managed to get Cesar, Judge, Chicken, Cyclops, Alien Avenger, and Battle Mech.

I found the Chima polybag at a local TRU today. I don't like the Lion tribe so it wasn't anything I am after.

Finally saw the spidey chase and daily bugle sets at Target today. Both look great in person. Daily bugle is even better in person than when shown online. I still need to get some avenger sets still so I can wait a while. Tough to do though as Dr. Doom and Venom look fantastic.

Neat but I would like to see the second cockpit/gunner section able to hold a figure. Always nice to see stuff from my childhood in Lego form. I have one of these new in box in storage. I used to collect GI Joe.

Went to a local wallyworld today. They had just about all the Chima out so far. Had to resist the urge to buy though. Will check target soon.

That is a great improvement. I like the set already but your version really screams scary.

There are too many themes to collect!!! I'm trying to get the few MF sets I want and Superhero sets before they are phased out. Chima will be around a while. I've learned to wait to get sets. Unfortunately with MF I have waited too long. I am really impressed with the Chima figures and what looks like it will be a great theme, especially for kids. I want to get some of the Speedorz for my nephews.

That poly is great. Perfect way to get Winzar without buying the pack tracker.

Great first review. Yeah just a little white balance and you're good to go. I wasn't even considering this set before but now I kinda want it. Only a matter of time til those speedorz wheels get put to some other uses. There are a lot of good looking parts here. I don't really care for the Lion tribe but the Wolves are great.

Cool review. Anyone with a Lego airport diorama can now easily have a variety of real life helos. This in addition to the recent Dino helo represent military versions introduced in the 1960s. Oh another set on my list.

Ran across the majority of whats out so far at a local Target. I didn't buy any but I am more impressed the more I see the different sets and figures. Having the new catalog doesn't help either. There is so much variety. The only thing I don't like is Lego making so many sets/themes I want, there is no way to really collect them all. Pricey to say the least.

I went to a few Targets in SoCal today. All of them had the main sets minus the largest and smallest. I didn't see any speedorz either.

I'm really bummed I waited so long to pick this set up. Now I can't find it anywhere at a reasonable rate. Ugh!

Hilarious

As happy as I am to learn we will for sure be getting a new barge I say the old one looks far better. Funny people argue about the angle of the front slope so much. They both keep a similar look to the film version. We all get what it is trying to be. The old one seems to have far more playability though. Fingers crossed the prelim pics are off as they have been in the past. Too many examples to point out from recent waves. I'm also happy about the gunship. Been wanting one for a while and glad I didn't get one off ebay. Perhaps there is a "x2 or x3" under the clone figure. I know Lego has done this with some recent sets.

Very nice. Guess there is a core group who still has some love for AC.
