  1. Holy cow Bjorn, the mainframe is fantastic! Hands-down my favorite is your use of the lever handles as a base for the holo/book piece that Ima-Frey is using (and great use of star wars cursing)! I haven't seen that before and it works extremely well The slime is extremely dynamic and pretty disgusting looking, the drip in the back is excellent. Great angling on the roof, it looks quite realistic as do the "brick" bricks in the walls and the cheese slopes used for broken/missing wall pieces! The overall studless appearance is very cool. What species is Yrizzt-Tzai?
  2. Once you point out that it's forced-perspective I can see it ant it totally makes sense! @goatman461 is that a handcuff used to hold the eyes of the spider droid? What did you you use to attach it to the body a clip plate? Great little build, the foliage is superb.
  3. As others have said, great details, I love the tree trunk build and the SNOT platform!. The camo bandana from Stranger Things works great in this environment too! Did you cut/make the cloth underneath the netting roof? I especially love the searchlight, that's a great part usage that I hadn't thought of!
  4. You should definitely build a medical base, or at least a medical wing for the base you have on Flickr! The piston arms are a great solution for sure, especially for kids! I figured actual pistons would not be strong enough to hold up the panels. Do the extra beds fit in the Sheathipede or the speeder? It looks like they would, perhaps on the side of the larger speeder? I recall photos of medical Jeeps with unused cots strapped to the sides. Personally I like a mix of studs, slopes, and tiles, so the back looks good to me although seeing totally studless designs is always amazing! Would you leave the studs that are partially covered by the wedge plates, or remove the wedge plates and cover everything in tiles? Long live Nurse Gonky!
  5. Thanks so much, that means a lot! I did an interior, but adapted it with the parts I had on hand, not super proud of it but it does the job! Taking photos of it is a little hard, but here are a few!
  6. Awesome to see your Medical Corps again, but holy cow three years is a ton of time! Great job, well worth the wait. @Mandalorianknight thanks for pointing out that the cone is from the Tantive IV, I was going to ask if it was a custom printed piece... Oops. I love the recolor of the crate from the Kannan's speeder bike set, it works perfectly and I'm glad you kept the towball functionality! I love that you added a towball in the wall of the bay to secure it and a stud for the speeder, that's a great touch. The rear surgery bay is super well detailed and I LOVE the nurse Gonk! I'm a little partial to the trans light blue parts (instead of trans-clear) for the bacta tank, but that's just me. Do the piston arms used to hold up the bay "wings" just press onto bricks, or are they part of a mechanism? Cockpit and central section are stellar, I love the inclusion of a headrest in the cockpit. Are the beds shown in the center module the removable ones shown in the last few pictures? Fantastic detailing and greebling throughout, I don't know if the outside or the inside of the ship looks better. Great use of your medical symbol stickers as well, they fit in perfectly! Great play features while maintaining an overall excellent aesthetic.
  7. Absolutely stellar job! I love the amount of detail you packed in, it's beautiful. The bunk beds look like they're right out of a CEC freighter, the fresher shower with the duckie and brush are great (and the shower doors are great!), the canisters and boxes, the lights under the stairs, the door, the floor panels, the kitchen... I could go on and on and on. I absolutely love it. No criticisms whatsoever. You did a great job with the windows, the iPad wallpaper works super well and fits with the low lighting of the first few pics! I don't know if I've seen that before, usually it's printed paper or added afterwards in photoshop. I'm not as good of a builder as Ross Fisher or MKJoshA, but you should join Factions so I can creep on more of your awesome builds in the future!
  8. Sorry to necro an older thread, but I built my own from Ismael's LDD file. Looks amazing, thanks to Veynom and Ismael. I also included @Praiter Yed's excellent moisture vaporator as well in the back corner of the display.
  9. Great moc dude, very simple but nice job on the colors and the floor! I'll never get tired of that technique for a handheld datapad holoprojection. I think Zeltrons all have red or magenta skin though, maybe try something like part 626cpb1802 for the ladies in the background?
  10. Forgot to add this to my earlier post, sorry. I also made (from left to right) Commander Gaunt, Wing Commander Rosh, Flight Lieutenant Ada, and Petty Officer Neel from Otaking's TIE Fighter anime short to put in my TIE Interceptor, Bomber, and LN. Gaunt's torso isn't totally accurate but it's either this or Tarkin's! I think part 92081 in tan would be better for Gaunt's hair, but I don't have that piece yet. I gave Gaunt a cherry, since in the dossier it talks about how he always hands underlings fruit. I settled on light bley hair for Rosh, but I think I might get ahold of a dark bley piece as his hair is darker in the short. There isn't a face with a scar over the eye for Ada, but I think Neel looks pretty decent! Parts suggestions are always welcome! In case you don't want to watch the vid, here's the poster he did that displays the characters. Anybody have thoughts on Ada's hair between these two pieces?
  11. @Keagantuan, I picked up some of the Shoretrooper arms and they look awesome! The EclipseGrafx site makes the blue look really bright, but it matches Lego's sand blue perfectly, and I also picked up some E-22 blasters. From left to right, standard trooper, captain, and squad leader. Here's a shot showing the removable clip, if you're into that sort of thing. I also picked up some other new (to me) Brickarms: Some DLT-19D rifles for my Death Troopers, some RK-3 pistols for my officers, and SE-14r repeating pistols for my Stormtroopers. I also got a few regular DLT-19s for my Sandtroopers and a single DLT-19X targeting rifle for my ye olde scoute troopers (I really need to pick up one of the new ones but they're not cheap). And here's a little Scarif scene to show off my troopers with my squad leader in the background:
  12. Looks great!! Very well done.
  13. Really excellent build! Gubi has a good point of the fluorescent colors, but since it appears clean and coherent I'd assume that it's one of the upper levels of Coruscant so maybe it's more uniform? The wall, floor, and upper gantry are all great and Aurra Sing is a nice touch! I wasn't really a fan of the speeder at first glance, it almost looks like a chibi-style speeder. However it would be hard to pilot or steer a full-size speeder bike in a crowded city, so I realized that this is kind of the equivalent of a Vespa! Great job packing a good amount of detail in such a small vehicle, I always like it when minifigs can reach/use the handlebars! What is the structure with the pentagonal tiles in the foreground, is it another light fixture?
  14. Those are really well done, and like Mando said, holy cow you're fast. I like the differently colored backgrounds, it would have been easy to make then identical so well done! The shaping of both Phase 1 and Phase 2 helmets are great and they're instantly recognizable. How "built up" are they? Besides the unmasked clone's nose (which is obviously taller), it's a bit hard to tell the depth of the builds. In my opinion the bar for the P1 does work well, as it's such a narrow slit on the helmet! I can't think of a piece that would work better given the size constraints. I especially like the light bley wedge tile for the cut-in portion under the cheekbones of the P2 helmets, it's a nice detail and it pops out really well.
  15. Aaaah I can see the 4x4 turntable now, I was kind of squinting at it on my phone earlier. The 4x4 turntables are much nicer and you don't get any of that "shimmy" that the 2x2s often have! And the 4x4 round plate with 2x2 hole in trans-clear may not work but it's worth a shot! Hope some of the suggestions work, will you build it in physical bricks?
  16. Hey Mando, nice build! Certainly a blast from the past. Cool integration of the spring shooters, and great job making the mechanism hidden. I was originally going to say that the holes make the model look odd, but the canon version has those holes! So well done on that! However, the angled plates on the bow next to the spring shooters look kind of strange as they leave some gaps, and the cheese slope also looks out of place. Maybe use part 6091 somewhere in there? The original looks pretty curved at the front as opposed to angular. Really though, good job overall. The back, turret, and pods are all great and I LOVE the one plate black viewport strip for the pilot to see through. Do the parts exist to make it transparent? You could add some jumper tiles to make the turret easier to take off (since it's intended as a play set), and you may want to add at least rudimentary controls. The republic attack tank from a few years ago did a good job with that, adding a bracket with a printed instrument panel slope above the driver's head. Personal bias here, I normally prefer 1/2 technic pins on the ends of guns, but the cones match the model exactly! Also good job making the the black design on the front raised up as it is on the original model. Are you using a 2x2 turntable to rotate the turret?
  17. Very very nice! To me it's similar to Rebel Builder's in that at first glance it LOOKS like it could be an official set, but you've brought it way above and beyond the Solo set! Great shaping of the cockpit and pylons, and think that's about as good as you can get while still sticking with the cockpit size of the official set. Excellent job with the black hole port thing in the back (I can't remember what it does), much better than just a 6x6 dish with a grill tile! I love the amount of detail you crammed into the cockpit as well. Good job on the wings, it's not easy to tell but they do look like Jerac's! I like that you kept the wedge plate (27928) on the pylons from the Solo set too. My only minor criticism would be that the bottom of the cockpit seems to extend a few studs too far down and it makes the sphere a little oval towards the bottom. Great job other than that, I look forward to seeing your interceptor and especially your Striker!
  18. The cockpit looks great! Perfect joystick, like you said I don't think you could fit anything else. So many official sets have no controls at all! Plus adding in a headrest is always a bonus. Thanks for the ventral shots, it looks awesome. There are so many uses for the 1x1 rounded handle plate!
  19. Nice inclusion of landing gear and good shaping! A different build for sure. Is there any way you could hide the click hinges with a tile or something similar? They kind of mar the smoothness but a tile might be worse actually. Any photos of the bottom, rear, or cockpit? I didn't see them on Flickr. Fun iteration, man!
  20. That has got to be one of the more stupid-looking walkers I've seen, but damn if you didn't nail it Koz! Really impressive build, comparing it to the photos on the Wiki it's very realistic! Excellent coloration and great articulation, what did you use at the hip joint? Can the stabilization hand splay out? Great attention to detail and part usage, the ankle spine would've been easy to leave out! My only minor criticisms would be that the ski pieces seem a tad small for the chin guns and to maybe add more detail to the cockpit, like joystick levers or a panel on the roof. You could maybe swap the top cannon to a 3L bar with a 1/2 technic pin? Seriously amazing job though, keep it up! Great build of a cool walker we'll prob'ly never see a set of. Edit: the posing in first picture you posted of the brick-built version is almost spot-on identical to photo on the Wiki, really nice touch!!
  21. Looks great, Bob! Always great to see the Pilgrim again. Great job on the stonework and the foliage, the mix of colors in the trees is great. What do you use for lighting the sabers?
  22. That's fantastic, thank you Gubi! (found the part I was looking for, I thought it was based off 30035!)
  23. Makes total sense on the colors! And a breakdown on the missile tube would be fantastic if you could, I thought it was based off of one of the older blaster pieces with a long bar coming out the front, I can't find the part number at the moment.
  24. Holy cow, Gubi! Fantastic build, one of your best scenes! Awesome movement for both the jet troopers and the STAPs, they look very alive. I'm always a fan of the ice cream as smoke, the missile tube is fantastic! I can ID most of the parts, but what is the main piece used? I'd love to build my own! I love the texture of the base, it looks really rocky and I love the color mixture and the broken droid pieces are a nice touch! Great STAP as well, it looks unique even though it's such a small ship. The only suggestions I'd say is maybe mix in some dark blue on the STAP, as I usually see dark blue for CIS ships and vehicles? Honestly it doesn't need it though!
  25. Fantastic build, Nemo! The texture of the grey mud is great and the use of the trans clear bottle nipple pieces for falling raindrops is inspired. You've crammed in tons of character into the troopers and I LOVE that they're cooking on GNK! Honestly I would bet they can crank out some heat. The trench wall wood and fabric are excellent touches and look authentic. The speeder is great, I like your use of the paddle pieces to hold the steering vanes. I didn't notice that the detailing was stickers until the broadside photo that you talked about it, they blend in very well and give a lot of detail. The little roller skate hidden in there is a nice touch too! I usually don't care for the splayed-leg speeders but you did it well. All in all great build man!
