[Mesabi-AMCRA] The Throne of Gonda
LM71Blackbird replied to Mesabi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Mesabi ----------------------- After narrowing escaping what might have been an untimely end to their mission in the streets of Gonda, they were led by a mysterious figure to a tavern off the beaten path of the city. It didn't take long to realize that this was the headquarters of the revolutionist uprising in the area. After some formalities, the guide - who turned out to be a coup leader - expounded the situation to the foreigners. The circumstances were grim... the ruling monarchs have a well trained army and reside in a fortified palace that has long been thought of as impregnatable. Outside the palace, the revolutionists have been tirelessly working around the clock to draft up plans that might have a remote chance of working to overthrow the current sovereigns. However, they have only managed to put together 2 companies of revolutionist troops and barely have enough money in their coffers to purchase food, let alone muskets and gunpowder (70 dbs added to adventure treasury). Maybe a fresh perspective is just what the rebellion needs! You call this a militia? There is no way this "militia" can overthrow such a big fortress, we need more fighters! You can't post fliers to get men to sign up, so it must be done covertly. However, if you recruit the wrong person or get caught, then you'll rot away in prison or face the firing squad! We need more intel! Before you attack you need a entry point. Scout out the area around and leading up to the palace in an attempt to find a suitable place to launch an offensive maneuver and whatever you do, don't get caught! Hold my scepter! There is no time for fancy uniforms and elaborate plans, all we need is the element of surprise! Take what troops you have, duel wield those pistols, lead your followers in battle, storm the gates and take the throne! What could go wrong... it's not like we could all die right? Only 1 option can be chosen this turn and 1 build is required to continue. All options are risky - and only one can be taken -
Great looking little build! Honestly, I gotta say my favorite part is the face on that baby! Lol! Keep it up.

Splendid looking entry build! As others have noted, great parts usage on the vegetation. Also, welcome to Corrington! While highly (and occasionally hotly) debated, we are no doubt the best! -

[januari MCRA] Military exercise - Quinnsville vs Derr
LM71Blackbird replied to Bart's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
To: Cathy Derr, acting captain of the Narwal, port of Fatu Hiva, île d'Or @Bart From: Mayor Richard Brickford, Quinnsville, Cocovia Dear Captain Derr, With the official results having just been published, I would again like to extended my gratitude in conducting this exercise with the men of Quinnsville. While I honestly never expected you to make it past the guns of Fort Annetta, I commend the skill and prowess of your men to maneuver around the guns as much as possible and make it to the shore. Though heavily outmatched, you should be quite proud of your men as I watched the land engagement unfold, I am without doubt that you would have been able to progress much farther if the local garrison wasn't quite as large. The Narwal and the Myth Chaser are welcome to remain in Quinnsville for as long as you like and to show my appreciation, I would like to bestow to you a small gift of 75 dbs to help you enjoy your stay in our lovely city. May you have fair winds and calm seas. Sincerely, Mayor Richard Brickford ---------------------------------------------- Just a little build showing the corrie side of the action! beachside cannon defense 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr- 25 replies

[Cor Jan FB2] ETTC - The Sacred Bean: Prelude
LM71Blackbird replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
As usual, a beautiful build Ayrlego! And an intriguing story... I'm curious where those ships will dock later in the story... Mayor Brickford would always welcome new developments like this to Quinnsville... -
You're welcome, your hard work shows! Yeah, I thought you were submitting this for the Oaken Shield tasks, my mistake.

[GoC] Artillery Field Testing
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you! I've thought about doing boarders before... I know I have enough tiles in the same color to go around a 16x16 base, not sure if I can do a 16x32... I will have to check though... Thanks for the suggestion!- 10 replies

Great looking ship Measbi. Definitely a marked improvement over some of your early builds. I quite like the blue and white. The only thing of change is the masts height... they look a little to tall to me. Just a reminder, the ship will have to be turned over to the faction for licensing in order to count towards the GoC project.

[GoC] Artillery Field Testing
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you! The prototype is based off a design by Leonardo da Vinci from the late 1400s for a machine gun. So in this sense, its kind of old stuff revisited. Yeah, the light green pieces look a little odd. I don't have very many green plates. Same deal with the grass stems, I only have 7 of them in total... The full dimensions are 16x32 for a stud count of 512.- 10 replies

[GoC] Artillery Field Testing
LM71Blackbird replied to LM71Blackbird's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! Thank you! Yes, the organ gun is still in development, the off alignment of the barrels was intentional. You would be correct about the limits of my bricks. I used about 97% of my green plates for this build, including the lime green. I'm glad you like the end result though! Thanks!- 10 replies

[GoC] Artillery Field Testing Artillery Testing 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr A ways out from the city limits of the settlement of Quinnsville, some artillery soldiers are doing field tests on some newly invented weaponry out of the Cannon Foundry. Artillery Testing 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The mayor, Richard Brickford, was invited to come out and watch the weapon trials. Being a veteran of the Juniper War, a little gunfire didn't bother him in the slightest. Artillery Testing 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr One of the new weapons being tested is a new long range field gun, able to fire cannonballs great distances and if all goes well, explode on impact. Artillery Testing 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The other weapon being tested was a slightly comical looking contraption. However, it may prove useful on the battlefield with it's many barrels being able to be fired in rapid succession. Artillery Testing 7 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr It turned out to be a pleasant afternoon without any serious incident or anything blowing up, much to the delight of the officer conducting the trials! ------------------------------ My first entry for the Glory of Corrington Patron of the Army tasks! I was looking some stuff up and came across a 17th century field gun and I had to try and build it in bricks. It is based off of a Falconet Field Gun. The multi-barreled gun is based off of a super early machine gun design by Leonardo Da Vinci. C&C are welcome and apprecieated and thanks for looking! Not sure what something like this would be classed as, but if it's unable to be licensed it doesn't really matter that much to me. @Bregir @Ayrlego @Captain Dee @SilentWolf More photos in the spoiler:

How's the KPA coming along? I'm getting excited for the Quinnsville raid results. I'm sure it will be a good addition though.
