Set 7979 - Errors in the packaging.
meschepers replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hmm, that is troubling indeed. I certainly hope that the one I have on the way to me from Germany isn't missing anything. If it were I wonder if they would even ship the missing parts to me as I live in the states and we won't be getting it here. -
Just so you guys know I am aware that the article is trash. I just posted it because I saw it a few days back on another website.
-
Here is the full article about him. It's quite a collection he has, almost to the point of having marital issues. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...ks-of-Lego.html

To me it looks an awful lot like B.J. Blaskowicz from Wolfenstein 3-D. Add some blue eyes and white teeth and it would be spot on.

I bought this set when it first came out and was impressed on how good it looked. Last summer my house flooded and I had to move everything out which meant packing all of my displayed models. I put them all into a large cardboard box as we had to have everything out fast. I put this beauty on the top and it was the only thing that survived. All the others are still broken apart at my parents' house two hours away and probably will be until after I graduate college.

Q's & A's on instructions, tutorials, scans, book reviews
meschepers replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's really not a big deal. I have had this happen myself. I found something that I hadn't seen on here before so I did a search of the site and found nothing. After I made my post I got several comments about how it had already been posted. I just don't get why members feel they need to be so rude about things, especially when they are not mods. -
I remember getting this set even though I was not big into City and it's subthemes. For some reason this one just jumped out at me and I had to have it. It was a nice little set. The three sharks and two minifigs were quite a deal with a set this size.

You mean I have to work? Aww man...

WOW! That was easy. My name is already there. Hopefully I'll hear from some of you. Feel free to talk to me if I am on. Just let me know who you are so I don't ignore it.

Is the third time a charm? Boy i hope so!

Interesting. Let me see about fixing that. That is how I found it some time ago. All the mods recently left the group so I took it over until someone else wants to. I'll change the setting on it. Okay... those changes are made. Maybe now someone else can see if they can find it. For some reason it was set as an 'invisible group' which means only mods could invite people. I made it an open group so you all should be able to find it now.
-
You go onto facebook. Go to the groups tab at the bottom and click there. At the top of the page will be a search bar and you type in 'eurobricks'. The group should appear... to make sure anyone can find it, here is a link: http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5065355761

I think a better way to go about this would be to look up the Eurobricks facebook group and join that.

Review: 7979 Castle Advent Calendar (First Look)
meschepers replied to brickbitz's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Well, that's pretty cool. I was going to get this set anyway (via a friend in Europe). The one thing I am disappointed about is that there is no king... I saw a set of pictures that showed the king in them and I was hoping that he would be in this. Oh well. I guess I will go to BrickLink for him. -
Having worked at a fuel station for a few years when I was 16 they looked to me like the signs above each pump to let the customers know which pump they were on. That guess could be way off though.
-
I know the answer. I will wait until 10 people have posted replies and if none of them are correct I will put my answer in there. I actually got this one right the first time I saw it... does that mean I could be a psychopath?
-
Frankly, I'm crushed at this news. I was so very much looking forward to picking up a few of these. But, to avoid the markup war that will surely follow this I am having a friend in Europe send me one when they are available.

I am in my third week of school at Oklahoma State University. My classes are all going well and this is my last semester... then I get to be a secondary/high school teacher... yay? The real world is knocking at my door and I am not all that thrilled.

New BrickArms Prototypes!
meschepers replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow. That Lewis Enfield in great. I could easily use that for some of my figs. -
You know, I never really thought about using the guys with the blue and red stripes as regular sailors on imperial ships. I may have to try that now.

4920: The Rapid Rider Review
meschepers replied to The Cobra's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have never seen this set before but the minifig head would be perfect for a Solid Snake from MGS 2! -
Sorry, mate, but this news broke early this week...

why are the 2009 sets preview deleted ?
meschepers replied to shimon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Pardon me fore being picking you out on this, Pencoin, but if you are going to correct a person's grammar you might make sure you are using the right form of a word. The one you are looking for here is "...they are all over the internet now" or "...they're all over the internet now." Normally I don't pick on grammar on an international forum where some people do not speak English as a first language but, since you made the point of correcting someone I'll correct you. And to stay relevant, the set pics are being removed for all of the reasons stated above. But, think about this: LEGO pulls the pics and set lists and now everyone is talking about them. That means that no one is talking about rival bricks and things of the ilk. This should end well for TLC. -
What game are we playing at the moment?
meschepers replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Lately I have been on a medieval castle simulation kick. I have played through Stronghold, Srtonghold: Crusader, and and awaiting my fresh copy of Stronghold 2. They are seriously great games with good story and a great balance between economy and combat. If you have never played them you should check them out. As far as I know demos are available for all of them. -
I guess I am the only one who wants new forestmen. I was really fond of their new look right before they stopped being produced. I hope they will make an appearance before this castle line is done.
