  1. It’s curious that’s exactly as I’ve imagined my MF table: http://www.lemonskin.net/io/10482#tavolino Then, after two carpenters asked 1000 euro to build it, I’ve searched for an already done solution. :)
  2. @Brick-Surfer Beautiful job, it’s gorgeous. :)
  3. Ok, this is my definitive cockpit version. It works with and without "glass" cockpit and Chewie can sit without removing seats:
  4. After seeing @jbengle cockpit pics I went back working on mine. I never accepted the idea to have two different versions, one with seats and one without (because Chewie is too big to fit in). So, after more than one hour of rebuild from scratch I was able to fulfill all three requirements: - have four seats; - have all four minifigs correctly fitting; - top windscreen perfectly closing. Yay! :D I'm posting rendered pics because I miss a few pieces (but I've checked the real thing with mixed colors and it works); will order them soon. :) More info (and LDD file) here: http://www.lemonskin.net/io/11310#cockpit (The website is in italian but, if you click the small page-shaped icon on the top bar, you'll get a rough google translation). Update: Direct link to LDD file - http://www.lemonskin.net/io/[MEDIA]/[files]/Lego/Progetti_LDD/75192-Millennium_Falcon/75192 - Cockpit.lxf
  5. I was going to suggest to look at the instructions manual to see the dimensions but, yes, I agree your solution is more pratical. Much easier to turn it on and off. :) Congrats, it's a set that gives big satisfactions. :) I've searched for one for a long time, on Ikea and Internet without finding an accettable solution. I've then draw a project and ask to two different carpenters for a price quotation and they both asked (lol) 1.000 euro. At the end I was lucky enough to found an old one (it was built around 1940) on a second hand items website: It wasn't cheap (I've paid it half of the Falcon's price) but it's perfect for it. Since I've seen more than one around I guess there's a good variety of this kind of cofee tables. Just spend a bit of time looking for old stuff. :)
  6. You mean the "unfinished room"? It has the same dimensions of the left one, it just misses the room. It's perfectly specular. :)
  7. I wanted to build a Lego version of my mother in law, but it would have been too scary. ;) Congratulations to winners, very nice monsters. (Nah just joking, I like my mother in law). :D
  8. Is it possible to see lights in action? I'm curious. :)
  9. Yeah, that's the bad thing about BL, especially with big files: it doesn't recognise a lot of correct pieces. I usually take note of the error (in the red error popup) and remove it from the project, then add manually. But it's a long and tedious work. I don't know if anyone knows any tool that will clean the part list for BL (I think there are some, but I can't remember at the moment). Anyway keep in mind that project is not perfect. A few bricks on the walls doesn't match with the MF structure. Because I was too lazy to reconstruct it exactly as Lego one (I guess you're R.H., right?).
  10. Wow @jbengle, that’s an outstanding work! I really love the new room configuration, it’s so... Soloish! :) About vents, a lot of time passed and I cannot remember well, but in my mods article I read I modified the plates to avoid coming up by one “stud”. The LDD file is at the end of the section, it may be a bit outdated because sometimes, when I physically apply a mod, I need to change something, but you can have a look: http://www.lemonskin.net/io/11310#ventole sorry for post being in Italian, you can click the page-shaped icon in the top bar to have a (bad) google translation. :)
  11. @burgerga It’s for sure an interesting approach. Can’t wait to see the finished mod. :)
  12. Great job but there's something you really need to add to the website: an RSS feed. Having notifications about new articles is always welcome. As it's now I've to remember to open the website every day and check. Not a big issue but sometimes I forget to check it for weeks. :)
  13. Sure Eric! :) This MF is really big and complicated, so are my mods. Changing the vents rotation don’t require having the same panels as mine (that’s a previous mod you can find the LDD file on the same page). I understand it may be a bit confusing but when I splitted the right panels to have an hole for my extra room, I did my best not to change the external details. But it’s possible that small changes should be done. I hope I was sufficiently clear. :)
  14. Yes, it works and it's a cool idea. :) In my case it's a bit complicated because MF is inside a table, so opening and closing panels takes a lot of time, but I like it. @onderon You can import the LXF file in a bricklink.com wanted list and you'll get your bricks list (and, of course, you can directly order pieces). :)
  15. I'm not a fan of flying Lego objects, but I had a look to your website and I like it a lot. :)
  16. @Lardos WOW, really impressive work! I love the lower lift. :) @Tuskano That’s a remarkable collection of Falcons! :)
  17. Ahah, I thought "how the hell did I miss it on Lego Ideas?" and I rushed to support it, just to discover I'm already doing! :P
  18. You can keep it in my house. :D BTW, cool simpsons Skyline, supporting it since a few weeks! :)
  19. Honestly I don't think it's worth the effort. You should do something always open (to be seen) and, due to the angle, I'm not sure something accettable should be done.
  20. I see. And I'll take a look to the magazine, later. It seems you can get a lot of space from that area. :)
  21. So you decided to sacrify the small rotating gun? It's a curious choice, as I think there's plenty of space in the other 3 MF rooms for stuff. But I still didn't read last Block magazine issue, it may be interesting. :)
  22. Great review as usual Jim. If I didn't buy a coffee table for my Falcon I would surely think about this stand. Do you think a drop of Kragle would make it more safe? Or the pieces are sturdy enough to sleep the night without fears of a MF explosion? :D
  23. 220 to 411 USD... eh eh eh...
  24. This is the best picture I can get without taking the monster out from the table: There's a small change to the LDD file (that I still didn't update): the middle connection part is now 5 studs large (previously it was 4), this way the connection is a bit less tight.
  25. Yeah, I’m too lazy to translate it but, as soon as Google Translator is doing a fair job, I’m ok. ;)
