  1. Thanks! This one has very good resolution. The minifigs selection is quite good if, specially if like me, didn't get the new desert skiff. Already have two of the previous version. So it's a cheap way to get all four minifigs including Wuher, the new Han Solo, an updated version of Greedo and an always welcomed Sandtrooper. I would prefer some aliens but I guess for a small set a hero must be there anyway. Let's hope for a Mos Eisley battle pack... In the mean time, mixing torsos with a bounty hunter battle pack will help to increase the alien population I like the small size as more children will be able to play with this set. It seems to be easy to mod it to extend 75055, so it's a must buy for me. The Ubrikkian 9000 pod seems a bit big, but just enough to have someone inside so a great addition to any Cantina MOC and it adds playability, which is a plus. It seems to have an action feature in the cantina seats so, overall, for the pieces count a very good set! In Europe it will be priced somewhere between 45-55€, which will be a bit pricey as TLG has done lately here, sigh!
  2. Can't believe this is an official description of the Sandspeeder! All moisture farmers will be for sure really upset with those "rebels" fighting against their livelihood! They would think they were somehow rustlers... These speeders are in Jakku, but if they were in Tatooine, then there would be no surprise young people would like to join the Imperial Academy .
  3. Thanks for the info! If it is big enough (and the pieces count go in that direction) then I will be pleased, not very, but pleased and anyway a must buy for me to mix with 2014 cantina.
  4. I also hope that there will be a cantina alien battlepack, but who knows! On the second part, I felt somehow the same at first, but after a while, overall I think it isn't that bad. Actually the only new character is Whuer plus the new versions of Greedo and Han. It seems that there will be just one Sandtrooper, although Sandtroopers aren't easy to find figures and they are a must in any Tatooine MOC. If the set would come with a dewback, then I would be very pleased. But there is no dewback in the Hungarian description, so... What I really like is that they are releasing other sets as well to fill in the scenes without having to pay for all of them in one big set. The Tatooine battlepack is great for any Tatooine related MOC and complements perfectly the cantina including, e.g. an astromech droid waiting in the entrance I also like splitting the old cantina set, because it will reach more people, specially children. The Tusken raiders are a good addition to both sets. The sandspeeder with the moisture-vaporator and two pilots may be perfectly used in the cantina as well. And the snake might be a delicatessen in Mos Eisley! Many options for people with limited money to spend.
  5. I took a second 75154 TIE Striker for 45€ to mod it as a TIE Reaper, which is IMO a very cool design with too few fractions of seconds in RO... and to have a decent transport to carry Deadtroppers .
  6. Thanks! By the way, is "Homokosztagos" singular or plural? If there were two sandtroopers as in the leaked photo, I think the set would be well balanced. The Ubrikkian 9000 pod (didn't have a clue about that) complements the new and old cantinas and maybe they could be combined, after all this is Lego. If the information is correct, then sadly no Evazan or Ponda minifigs this time neither. Let's hope TLG could release them as a small set or battlepack in the near future.
  7. Yup! I was wrong with the pauldron colors... and number, bad memory I guess. The black one is from 75052, the white and orange ones are from 9490. Actually those from 9490 are the ones used by the sandtroopers in the cantina. If we would get those two I would be gladly surprised... as I did with the Ahch-To set! Who knows... Then the right move would be a Tatooine aliens battlepack similar to the great bounty hunters battlepack (just dreaming ).
  8. I had the same feelings. Just wanted one poster, but no one came with the order. Sigh!
  9. I planned buying a second AT-M6 if I will get a good deal to have parts to create a bigger one. This one is very cool!! Do the legs move?
  10. My feelings... A new cantina set without some bad guys will be nonsense. The good guys aren't going to a chic restaurant. Last one set (75052) had only two actual ones: Greedo and a sandtrooper, although at least he had a dewback. The Bith band is cool but they aren't bad guys at all, and they used three minifigs slots. What will be this time? We have seen Han, Wuher and Greedo. Wuher is cool but he doesn't count as bad guy and Greedo seems legit as his printing is brand new. For the piece count, at most two more figures will be there. Two additional sandtroopers with black white pauldrons? I would guess not those two from 75052, not both with black white pauldrons and the same printing. So either one stormtrooper from 9490 and another from 75052, or just one sandtrooper with pauldron from 75052, given the TLG tendency of not giving enough minifigs in their sets . Another options for those one/two minifigs slots are: one or two aliens. But which ones? If there were two they would be Evazan and Ponda, which also appears in RO. If there were one, they have plenty of options. Having two will be a great surprise for me. If there were an additional Tatooine battlepack for the bad guys, like the great bounty hunters battlepack of this year, then more options opens: maybe an aliens battlepack with Evazan, Ponda and two random bad guys/droids (if one or two sandtroopers appear in the cantina), or the opposite, a sandtroopers battlepack with a dewback if an alien or two appear in the cantina.
  11. @dimaks13 Good photos! The Ahch-To set is perfect! Very good minifigs within a low price and decent playability. The inclusion of a Porg is very welcome, as it appeals more to children. At least my children want this set badly for all those 3 characters. Probably I will get another one just to save the characters from my children hands. The ski speeder is ok, maybe a bit big, but I would have used two different smaller sets like the snowspeeder (75049) and Hoth's attack (75138). To me those were more balanced, as they had more imperial snowtroopers in total plus an imperial droid and better ammo gear. In the Crait set the poor FO snowtroopers have only blasters to oppose the resistance . On the tower, I think I have to see the film to see it in context, otherwise just meh... The other near perfect sets are the two dual micro fighters. They have cool minifigs, including Kylo Ren and an AT-M6 driver for a low price. This approach is more like the superheroes line, where main characters may be found in low priced sets, which is great for children.
  12. I like the pilots a lot. With those grey and white colors are a very good match for the random human pilots in the Tatooine's cantina. Only the helmets need to be switched by standard race car helmets, and that's all. This is even more relevant if a new cantina is on the way, and even the speeder would be ok in a MOC. There should be non-snow speeders before the ESB, so it's perfect to put one nearby the cantina or in any other Tatooine MOC.
  13. A "repaint" is always something difficult to deal with. Is it worth? I had the same issue with the TFA Resistance X-Wing in blue and grey. But ok, the first one was Poe's, which was also the black leader, without any other black X-Wings like in any other squadrons by the way, and the rest were blue squadron fighters. An easy repaint I would guess although they fit in the story. With the X-Wing blue squadron in Rogue One, I got more or less the same feeling. I wanted to have a blue squadron X-Wing to fight against Tie Strikers. It wouldn't make sense to use red squadron X-Wings for that. So I got another brand new TFA blue and grey X-Wing (fairly cheap, about 50€) just to modify it as a RO blue squadron X-Wing. So my point is "it depends" on how the ship really fits into the storyline and what do you want to do with it.
  14. On the minifigs: I love the helmets, but the male face... it's a bit overused right now I guess. The female one is good though, we don't get too many female pilots. My daughters like female characters a lot. That was an obvious lack in SW sometime ago, even in RO there are just too few still, although in TFA the balance is better at least.
  15. Being able to get that black VIP card only within this calendar year MF buy and having no expected additional availability this year is a bit sad, even if we are in the waiting list...
  16. Nice finding! With those two vertical stabilizers, it seems to be more or less the same craft. Yes, it makes sense and would be consistent with other data we have, which is nice. I cannot find it... did you get it at Target?
  17. Great review and photos! I haven't seen it on the shelves yet, but it's a must buy for me. Granted that fighting against the moisture-vaporator and the snake is not the best fight I would be able to imagine but... From ESB, the snow speeders were used before, because they said they were having problems to adapt them to the cold weather of Hoth, so from that perspective this set makes sense. What is strange is the Jakku background... I recall others suggesting it to be a Rebels set.
  18. Indeed. Me too. Given the number of sets sold (in BL and in eBay, for instance) and the number of people in the official waiting lists, it seems that the ones buying are the same wanting to sell them for an additional profit. No way actual fans will get them a those prices, even if they have to wait like me.
  19. Those are good options. If you are a long time star wars fan, Rogue One would fit very well as most of the sets could be used elsewhere. I would get the TIE Striker, the Y-Wing, and the X-Wing from the Force Awakens, all those sets may be found with discounts, so it would be a good start. Then I would modify the X-Wing to match the original trilogy Blue Squadron X-Wing, which is an interesting small MOC project for a ship using the new cockpit piece to obtain a better shaped original X-Wing. These small things are very important (and fun) in a MOC ;)
  20. This is just impressive! Thanks for the photos!
  21. Thank you! I like a lot the table for display idea. And indeed they fit very well together (even if scale is not perfect... who cares!) Oh, I'm sorry, that was my bad, I should have posted this question in the other thread.
  22. With this new MF... the UCS Slave 1 set seems to be a perfect companion basically at the same scale. Has anybody both?
  23. Yes, for sure this isn't unplanned at all. The demand/supply ratio is always tricky to predict and with a limited production capacity, concentrating too much in one product as big as this one means leaving others undersupplied. Oversupply is costly if the demand doesn't meet, so it's better to undersupply, but not for a large margin, otherwise they may lose the window of people wanting to buy the product. But what's the demand of a secret set nobody had a chance to see? Any survey will give misleading results. So it's better to start with allocating a small slot in factories preparing the Christmas season for this risky set. The general availability of the MF will be next October, so releasing the MF early with limited availability is a powerful marketing tool to let people talk about an "exclusive" item for weeks, a highlight of the Lego brand in news before Christmas, a way to reduce the chance of a big leak (it is easier to control a limited stock than a bigger one), a way to gauge the actual demand after seeing the product, and also a way to have less undersupplied stores later on the general release, as most people that wanted that thing badly soon will already have one, or will have one ordered. So many of those people will be out of the equation of the upcoming demand for the general release, which is always important for the brand, as it's their main profit market. TLG still has almost two weeks to ship this thing to early adopters before the general release so many of them will be well served in the end. This seems quite planned to me...
  24. I think TLG move has been smart. Now they can say the biggest set ever was sold out on the first day to VIP members. Most people probably don't have a clue about VIP Lego members at all. The hype worked well and it's a very good advertisement of the VIP program, which gives TLG much more profit than conventional stores.
  25. Many of us grew with Lego and at the time didn't have the option to get most sets. I recall wanting the 497 spaceship set, but it was too expensive for a single gift at the time. And my parents thought about Lego, let's say... meh! So no way. Some years after I was able to build it myself with other sets pieces. I think this is one of the main points of Lego, being able to build a set you never were able to afford at the time and, of course, being able to modify any model to our own taste, which is something I usually do with the sets I buy, even for my children, as many times they are ok design wise, but playability lacks. Now with Bricklink it is even easier if there is enough spare money around. I prefer building sets with my children than leaving them alone playing with a console, tablet or phone, they will spend too much time on those anyway. Building sets let them to use their brain in a different way: to use their hands property, to learn spacial geometry, which is not that trivial these days with so many different pieces and techniques to build at different angles, to learn the process of design with so many wrong steps in between, and to use their imagination beyond many other toys to build whatever they want, which is a very important learning to have. Ok, this is just my opinion, but seen this way €800 will give many diversion hours to all of us (aside of finding a place for it, of course, which is a tough point) and it isn't just spending 800 on a random set of plastic bricks. For sure all of this is just an artificial excuse to buy the MF but... you know ;)
