  1. Telegraph for Sheriff McMillon: Blackboot Thomas has escaped from the Austin Jail STOP He has partnered with Ringo Bandito, Pistol Preston, and Dice R. Loaded STOP All are wanted men! STOP Sheriff Austin believes that he may find his way to Legorado STOP Union Payroll will be delivered November 8 STOP Wells Fargo Coach #4 STOP It's important that you stop Blackboot Thomas and his gang STOP Good Luck! STOP Please deliver urgently by way of Pony Express STOP Judge Gatling Texas Territory
  2. Blackboot Thomas and his gang ride out to meet the Wells Fargo Stage Coach as they have an "inside tip" as to what time the bank loot will arrive in Legorado. They make it through Canyon Pass only minutes before a steaming Western Train passes through the canyon on its way to Legorado. Their plan is to hold up the coach with a few well-placed sticks of dynamite. This coach will have two month's worth of Union payroll that includes bonuses! After the robbery, the outlaws will ride to the Trading Post to purchase the provisions they need to make it to the Bridge South of the border. Lucky for the Union army; however, a Frontier Outpost stands far to the South and has a few troops that may thwart the outlaws's plan. Tumbleweeds roll through Legorado as a large thirsty Steam Engine pulls into Legorado Train Station next to an awaiting Water Tower. A drunken Dusty Miller leaves the brothel laughing histerically about a story one of the ladies told him. "Haunted Pass, Creepy Creature Camp, Water Tower Terror!", Dusty yells, that's just folklore and fairy tales"! Just then a cold and creeping wind blows through Legorado... :'-( Lucky for Dusty, it passes quickly... :-)
  3. On his way to the Bed N Breakfast, Dusty can't help but to be steered toward a rather fancy two-story building with a large purple sign reading, The Blazing Bordello. A finely dressed woman stands on the porch with a long feathery scarf beconning an eager Dusty into her house... *wub* Rev. Olin Maynard and his congregation have tried to put an end to what they call "that sinfull house of ill-repute", but many of the unhappy husbands in the town would much rather visit the Bordello than Reverend Maynard's chapel.
  4. Dusty's first stop is at the Glitter Gulch Saloon. What a great place for him to swallow a shot of whiskey to wet his dry mouth! Big Al the bartender tells him where he can get a room, "McCormick's Bed-N-Breakfast", I think they call it, "right down the road next to the Bit and Bridle Blacksmith Shop". The bartender tells Dusty that he might also check out McAlister's Armory where he can get that rust from his gun cleaned. Dusty is starting to feel that Legorado isn't the small town he thought it was. Meanwhile, Blackboot Thomas and his gang of outlaws are plotting a wagon heist at Silverton Ranch, a hideout unknown to Sheriff McMillon.
  5. Clop...Clop...Clip...Clop... On a barren tan baseplate, cowboy Dusty Miller rides into Legorado on a brown horse with a one-piece black Lego sadle. As Dusty wipes the dust from his brow with a red bandana, he sees the small western town with not too much excitement. There's a General Store to do some trading, a Bank to cash in his single gold nugget, and a Sheriff's Office that he'd rather not visit. Fort Legorado stands in the sunset with a tired Union Army with not much to protect. Oh, not to forget old Crandall Mine as the one hideout where the outlaws pretend to hide, and the sheriff pretends to find them. Yes, the water in old Legorado has pretty much dried up with not much Wild West action left to pursue. Many of you would agree that the WW theme was a great collection of sets that Lego should have continued. Had they done so (or if the future holds more WW sets), what would you add to Legorado? - A saloon perhaps? - a chapel? What else? Help Dusty out by adding some fun to the old Wild West theme. OK, I'll keep a list: Western Town Armory/Gun Shop Blacksmith Bordello Cemetery Chapel Farmhouse Gallows Hotel Pony Express/Post Office Ranch Saloon Schoolhouse Snake Oil Wagon Stage Coach Trading Post Ghost Town Union Army Frontier Outpost Gold Wagon Train Sub-Theme Bridge Cattle Car Freight Car/Wagon Steam Engine Pullman Train Coach Train Station Water Tower Windmill Western Mountains/Scenery Ambush Site Canyon Pass Cliff Dwellings / Indian Hideout Expanded Mine Mining Scene - accessories and figs Quicksand Scene Tall Thin Rocks River Sub-Theme Riverboat/Paddle Wheel Trapper/River Scene Mexican Village Sub-Theme Cantina Hacienda Spanish Fort Spanish Mission Zorro License New Animals Buffalo Cow Mule Vulture New Figs/Elements Apache Indians Bartender Cactus Chinese Railroad Workers Doctor Grave Digger Mexican Bandit (with sombrero) Mexican Soldier Minister/Reverend Pioneer Prospector w/Mule Riverboat Captain Snake Oil Salesman Trapper (with racoon/Davy Crockett hat with tail)
  6. I agree with you 100%. This theme did offer some very nice elements (some pictured on page one). I esp. like the shields and the witch. I really regret not picking up a set or two when the sets were on deep discount/clearance.
  7. Jane tells Tatoo: "Yes, my ultimate fantasy is to have a romantic yet traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings: turkey, bown gravy, stuffing, yams, and some pumpkin pie. Mmmmmm! I'm just a pilgrim at heart". *wub*
  8. Just then, a large plane comes crashing through Jane's kitchen! In walks a short man with an all white suit and black tie. He states in a very bad French accent, "I tried to warn you madame, but you must have been asleep. Sorry about de plane, but I have come to grant you your fantasy".
  9. I agree. I purchased many City sets over the years because of awesome catalogue images of combined sets and Lego additions to themes. This should almost be another discussion as the subject at hand is more related to how you feel about the Fright Knight Theme.
  10. Definately mini-fig scale. What I like about this MOC is it's just so different than traditional grey and old classic yellow castles.
  11. The first image is awesome! I don't remember seeing images like this in catalogues. Must have been during my dark ages. I'm having a problem viewing the 2nd image, however.
  12. This is a close one.
  13. as she heard a rather "midgety" voice call out, "the plane... the plane...".
  14. Viking hands down - no comparison.
  15. I understand what you're saying and agree with the decline in quality, but I don't think this a is a fair comparison. Fright Knights isn't City and displays will be much different than classic City.
  16. Took his mask off, and it was none other than a Metric Millenium Exo-Crushing "Flash Gordon" Micronautic Millitant Deep Space Warrior Phantom who proceeded to pull out his Zinno Morphic Particle Eliminator and began shooting wildly at all the creatures that were still alive. In the end, no one was standing, not even the Salt Vampire (aka Space Warrior) who died from the nuclear ionic particle blast that destroyed the others.
  17. BDD: nice little review. I like these small sets that you don't have to spend a lot of money on, and they still add great value to a theme. I think this set is definately worth getting.
  18. Exactly. No acknowledgement that they even read your message.
  19. resembled the spawn of an Alien parasite. The alien climbed out of the bug's carcass only to see its home world nemesis, the Salt Vampire.
  20. Sure, but then I can't gripe about it in an open forum. It's a nice way to "vent".
  21. Very nice Phes. I like the use of the taller duel statues and the overall look of the MOC. Native meets natives - very original concept as we always seem to use pirates and islanders. Does this Native Visit MOC have a name? Nevermind, I see you just posted a very good name.
  22. Don't you just hate it when a fairly new member will post a question or share a MOC for others to respond, and you spend some time answering or providing a response - and then the person falls off the face of the Eurobricks world never to respond agin on the particular thread he/she started. I think we need to create a list of these people and NEVER rerspond to them again >:-( . That will fix them!
  23. "Velcome to Fantasy Island". (I just had to X-D ).
  24. It was none other than Wham pop-star sensasion, George Michael, wearing a Ricardo Montalban mask and dark glasses. ("Wake me Up Before You Go-Go" plays in background).
