To answer some of your questions: I placed the door to the right intentionally thinking that it makes escape from the bars more difficult. It could of just as easily been placed on the side of the dock. In looking at access, it may have been a better to do so (but that was my rational at the time). There is not a 2nd door. I tried building this little prison several times in white, yellow, and a combination; but grey worked the best. I just can't get the right look with the white and yellow. The use of the brown tiles (not SNOTs), seemed to give the dock/landing a better look; esp when extending every other one past the main brown piece. The 2nd MOC was the rebuild of my 1st as it really was a different MOC completely. Here's another shot but I don't have one at a different angle or from the top:

Another Pirate Theme MOC, Pirate Prison. Guarded by Royal Navy Guards, Pirate Prison keeps ony the most treacherous of pirates within its damp fortified walls.

Here is the article from the link: LEGO will release a brand new revamped castle line starting June/July 2007. The initial release will consist of 5 sets making up 2 'factions'. One faction will be the Falcon Knights, loosely based on the falcon faction of the 80s and 90s with a similar black/blue color scheme. The second faction will be the Merry Men, a band of forestmen/outlaws. There will also be several 'civilians' included in the sets. The preliminary sets will include: 2501: Caravan Ambush 2502: Falcon Guard House 2509: Outlaw Hideout 2511: Medieval Town (temporary name) 2512: Lord Falcon's Mountain Fortress There is no piece count for these sets yet. Names and reference numbers are still subject to change. Could this be true? I'm not too sure but it would really be exciting if we see Forestmen once again.

Yes, earlier today. The person I spoke with said she thinks they had three returned but there's no telling if they are in stock or are part of another order. I didn't try ordering in frustration. I suppose this will be a set I missed (but that's OK, because if I buy, I will want to break out all my city sets and start building a city again).

I've got quite a few yellow but I think zero white arches. I tried inverting the color combination but it just didn't look right. Also, I don't have the top castle pieces that add to the overall look as well. It's just not working for me. I just need more pirate parts!

The calendar will be available for a short time on LSAH US, then sell, out, and back and forth. Next time I see it available (if it is), I'm going to buy after seeing these daily image reviews.

I recently tried building an Imperial Naval Fortress/Port similar to this MOC with yellow and white pieces. I wasn't happy with it so I destroyed it (didn't bother taking any pictures). MOC #2 was stilll much better. I need to learn the right balance of white and yellow to make the MOC look like classic pirate theme sets. Also, I did notice that on the old sets, the arches were mostly white. I don't have white arches but rather yellow. It does make a difference when you're trying to capture a similar look.

Nice job. I love the color combination.

Wow! I had no idea that these were as common as they are in "real life".

I voted for Image Reviews of New Sets. I love seeing new set images. It also helps me determine if I want to buy a set or not.

Share your thoughts regarding which message type you enjoy the most. Please note: I did not include Information About New Sets because I think many of you would choose this if it was listed. TheBrickster (they don't call me the "Pollster" for nothing).

He's making a list, checking it twice...

I love the elf! Athos is the King of Vignettes. Always excellent! -
Nice. Definately looks like a forest ranger, zoo keeper, wild game hunter, or someone who works with animals. It's still a nice shirt. It would work for the Adventurer theme too.

Someone from Lego must love hovercrafts. There's Hovercraft Hideout, Batman's Hovercraft, and now a new fire hovercraft. That makes three and I've never seen a real hovercraft. To tell you the truth, I never knew there was such a thing.

No, I don't mind at all. If sharing my MOC brings up other great discussions and other MOCs that have already been shared before, not a problem at all. I've told Phes this before, but I've always loved the Pirate theme, it's just that I only have a few sets that were purchased as a gift from a friend. I wish I had the collections that some of you have. I'd be building all sorts of MOCs.

One really get's an idea of just how large the castle is with the little guy in it.
-
Definately not. This is above my ability.

Great use for the hinge bricks.

I missed this info too. Thanks. I was just looking at this old garbage truck: I don't remember this set at all.

That ship is huge! Just go ahead and back it up into the boathouse. We should be able to get it sailing again soon. :-$ I was really trying to have some color. I really hate all grey. I will try some yellow and white after seeing ZCerberus's MOC. You guys are really pros at these ship and shore pirate MOCs.
-
That's awesome! I would never want to destroy if I had designed this.
-
Yes. Excellent! That's a really nice MOC. I like the multiple rooms/sections (esp. the armory). The color combination is perfect. Maybe I will try some white and yellow. Well done.

These figs are excellent! I like the shirt.

I think I would like it much more uniform rather than different buildings and colors. I wanted the "little fishing village-like look" - buildings different styles and colors (but it came out much too different than what I wanted). Also, I like designs closer to Lego. I'm probably my own worst critic though.

The last time you asked a question re. which set to buy (I believe it related to Castles), I recall you not answering questions asked of you for clarification. I have an opinion, but aren't going to bother sharing. I recommend you start reading some of the image reviews that people share for the benefit of others. Image reviews give you an idea of what EB members think of various sets. You might also try searching for what reviews/topics relate to your questions and you may find an answer before posting.
