  1. I never considered the thought of Wizard of Oz, but not a bad idea. They're not Movie Monsters, but it would fit into the Studios Theme quite well. Here's some shots of a W of Oz theme I found on Brickshelf: The whole gallery of images: Wizard of Oz on Brickshelf SC1999: Since you have all the sets, why don't you share an image review of the Scary laboratory. I don't have this set and would be very interested in seeing some close-up images.
  2. "I LUV BOB'S CRAB SHACK *wub* " bib that she always wore at dinner time. Unfortunately; however, Carl had fallen to the ground and with an unremorseful grin, Mary knodded at Johnson and said...
  3. Mary was more concerned over the spilled biscuits than poor Carl who was struggling to breath in the clenches of Johnson's grasp. :-X
  4. Johnson grabbed him and began choking his neck! The wrench fell to the ground and landed on a bloody tray of biscuits. Clank!
  5. Thanks for sharing. It's a little plain, even with the tomb. I like to see some detail (sort of like this):
  6. wrench he planned to use on that dripping faucet that Mary and Jane had repeatedly complained about.
  7. Neat. Would you call this "maxi-figs"?
  8. The official poll for voting can be found here: POLL
  9. Do these occurences scare you? It sounds like you've had quite a few experiences.
  10. Spooky cat! He doesn't even need to be black. I've always been fascinated with the Egyptian myths regarding cats. Very mysterious...
  11. Do any of you know who this is or remember the show he played in?
  12. I didn't read "It", but I didn't think the movie was too bad at all. The actors were a little nerdy though. I never thought that the creature would be a giant... though. Strange choice.
  13. I agree. Even vignettes of some of these monsters would have made great sets -esp. Creature from the Black Lagoon.
  14. Looks like the Front Page image really helped. Vote On!
  15. Someone or something was in the copy machine room.
  16. Good idea. Let's see if the votes pick up.
  17. Not until Lego brings back an old classic castle theme and pirates will they be on the right track. Not to mention some classic trains as well as a new WW theme (OK, I suppose I'm getting unrealistic now). But I really do long for classic castle and pirates. KK just doesn't cut it!
  18. To answer your question, No. It appears (at least to me) that BaronSat's Halloween Amazon uses what looks like a Lego rubberband to hold the lever pieces (without the lever) on to the upper torso. Could have been a Technic band (as you mention) that would have had the same effect (if it isn't). Also, the band is more like a cape vs. a Lego piece/brick which I think is something different. In regard to a "strike". I set the rules and allowed the use of decals knowing that some individuals (like yourself) would most likely create their own torso. It's not that big of deal though, and this is just my personal opinion. For contests like this, I prefer to see the use of real Lego pieces (not fabricated parts with decals; just like purchased pieces, I hate the use of stickers). But had your figure been more scary, I would have probably voted for it even with the decal. A strike from me is nothing more than a comment. The use of the decal was permitted within the contest rules and I don't think it resulted in you receiving less votes overall.
  19. If everyone voted like this, we wouln't have a poll. Now I can see one or two categories (at the most), but all three?
  20. Well, I think Graveyard Duel is definately the most spookiest set of the bunch (10 out of 18 or 55% of the respondents voted for this set). Did anyone ever do a pic review of this set?
  21. Beautiful detail on the last house. I love the color combination of light grey and tan. I would never have thought to use these colors together. The architecture is very sharp. This would make a great Vampire's Mansion. And check out the lights- very nice.
  22. But this night, Mary was not alone.
