  1. Well, like I'd said previously, I highly doubt this subtheme would be considered a part of the "Classic Space" pantheon of themes; but, regarding that latter suggestion, I could see Classic Castle and/or Pirates being sorta represented by City through potential Archaeology subthemes for the future! Like the other Space and Exploration subthemes City has given us in years past, I don't think we'll be seeing further additions to this particular wave, but rather a more general revisitation of Space in some other form/incarnation, likely four years from now come Summer 2022.
  2. Anyone here see future potential for further GWP sets such as this year's 40334 Avengers Tower? Personally, I could easily see them following through with the same format that set had with miniaturized recreations of other MCU staples such as Avengers Compound, Tony's Malibu Mansion, the Triskelion, the Sanctum Sanctorum and a SHIELD Helicarrier, each coming with an exclusive figure.
  3. Oooooh, another idea eh? How tantalizing... ...perhaps it'll be a City-style People Pack, maybe?
  4. Of course, hence why I excluded mentioning them. While I know others have a soft spot for those, I myself am not as keen about "flyers" compared to the shuttles and rovers Classic Space & Company rather offered. Seriously, it's not like Lego would actually replace the anthology of Space themes we've had so far with these subthemes of City's, nor do I personally consider any of City's subthemes to be a part of such.
  5. I know, I know, that was just a little bit of my spite against those kinda CMFs snuck into there. Ya know though, the more I've thought about "costumed" CMFs after starting that one poll topic awhile back, I do somewhat wonder if they may be the only thing drawing kids to the non-licensed CMSs nowadays, hence Series 18...
  6. Personally, I think it'd be quite easy for the City theme to closely emulate the earliest wave of Classic Space sets in particular for another Space Exploration subtheme. In spirit, it'd just be a Lunar Outpost subtheme rather than a Mars Mission subtheme, with rovers, shuttles, payload rockets, and permanently fixed outpost structures.
  7. For that latter suggestion, I'd rather see a Cthulhu-like octopus humanoid like @obsidianheart had suggested rather than yet another dumb costume guy.
  8. He's already removed the three images though.
  9. The one featured by the YouTube channel Beyond the Brick?
  10. Daaaamn, that "Upside-Down" technique is pretty darn effective... Having now seen the set in its entirety, Lego's take on his truck looks even better!
  11. Do you mind PM-ing me the name of this private IG user?
  12. According to my own memory, I'm pretty sure the logo's all-new for this subtheme of City's. Perhaps it's familiar from elsewhere outside of Lego?
  13. Here's a recent interview by Beyond the Brick with @The Secret Walrus on this creation of his!
  14. Well, that sure ain't a preliminary...
  15. I forget whether this has yet been contemplated here or not, but could we be seeing a "Gorton" style fisherman CMF for Series 19 per the new hat mold being introduced for the upcoming Hidden Side theme?
  16. With brick-built wheel wells like that?
  17. Speaking of such, here's another recent Medieval/Historical project worth mentioning here: The Medieval Blacksmith by Cholmberg1
  18. For potential representation the second season, I'd like to see a build of Hopper's cabin similar to @Norton74's most excellent recreation of such. Say, is Hopper's hat just simply Indy's fedora in Tan?
  19. The Brick Fan - LEGO City Mars Exploration Rocket Transport (60229) Official Set Images Huh, I guess they really did seem to have Cthulhu in mind when designing that CMF...

  21. Holy. Bricking. Crap. So that is how they're going to execute the Upside-Down, in the last way I expected them to... My guess is there'll be a "corrupted" Upside-Down copy of the front of Joyce's House on the opposite side of the "real-world" front of the house where the house's back would otherwise be. I mean, yeah, I wasn't at all expecting to see something like this: Seems you were right! You must mean @Foxes Productionz was right!
  22. Well, for his rejected LEGO Ideas project, @Foxes Productionz gave him a recolor of the skullcap introduced for Series 16's Scallywag Pirate.
  23. Here's New Elementary's review of the AFOL Designer Program's other historical finalist, Wild West Saloon.
  24. it is true. Hmmm, well, I can't be too upset by that given that this set is actually seeing the light of day, though the addition of those three could've made for the most ideal lineup. Not to mention, it would've been ELEVEN figures, as opposed to just eight.
  25. Because, they're supposed to be "Inspired by NASA" and all? Yeah, I too had my heart set upon a vehicular color scheme more evocative of Classic Space & Company for such a line of City sets; but, since I've long pressed for a extraterrestrial exploration subtheme for City previously here in the past, I'm kinda just happy they actually went there in spite of my idealized vision of such! I mean, they could've gave us yet another "Spaceport" subtheme for the third time, but they didn't! P.S. Maybe next time around (four years from now), we'll see another subtheme from City that's a little closer to Classic Space in spirit!
