  1. This guy here is just jumping to conclusions, right? Plus, I'm assuming that logo isn't real?
  2. I've asked this elsewhere yesterday with no response, but, is TLG hosting their Fan Media Days event in Billund at all this year? Typically taking place at the end of May during previous years, many of the AFOL media/news outlets that have attended in the past (Brickset, New Elementary, PromoBricks, Zusammengebaut, Beyond the Brick, etc.) haven't said a thing about the event as the end of the month approaches...
  3. You know, since the last time I replied on this topic, I've really come to further appreciate and regard the non-licensed Collectable Minifigure line as one of my favorite themes as we start to approach closer to Series 19's release, as it's really been waaaaay too long since the last non-themed Series. * * I'm looking at you Series 18.
  4. Ah, I instantly knew exactly which Ideas project you're talking about upon seeing your latest redux! LEGO Ideas - LL 930 Galaxy Explorer by NeoMMD76 I see, I suppose it makes the ship look a little more like a saucer-craft rather than a shuttle. Still, I'm quite impressed by his diagonally-constructed wings!
  5. Not sure if you've revisited that gallery more recently for further inspiration, but here are three more recent redux builds based upon LL928 that perhaps you may or may not have seen! Large Galaxy Explorer by Alec Hole NCS Galaxy Explorer by @Gbailey46 Unnamed Galaxy Explorer Redesign/Reimagining by Ben Smith
  6. Checked out Shazam! for the first time last night. Given the current state of DC's cinematic universe, I thought I'd be annoyed and distraught over this entry's seemingly heavier ties to such a fractured (if not broken) endeavor. But, ya know what, those connections actually worked quite well in this movie instead, as it feels more like a stand-alone film that just acts under the pretence that superheroes are a given thing in this universe, thereby making its titular hero exist without causing major socio-political reverberations having his existence made know to the public. The movie's kinda like the MCU's Spider-Man Homecoming in that way, but with only the acknowledgment of the existence of other heroes, minus any references to "historical events" set-up by cinematic entries before it.
  7. Well, for those more knowledgeable about the game, how much more could be sourced from it for sets? There's nothing that annoys me more than "one and done" themes, irrespective of whether or not I care for that theme; so, I'm hoping that Overwatch can get at least three years worth of set waves for the sake of it. Like I said above, I'm personally hoping it isn't, but where is this summer wave anyway? Nearly all the other playthemes have official images out of their summer wave...
  8. Will TLG be hosting their Fan Media Days event in Billund for 2019? Despite previous years' events taking place at the end of May, none of the AFOL media outlets I frequent (Brickset, New Elementary, Eurobricks, etc.) seem to be talking about it in advance.
  9. Hmmm, either the poster presumed it's such, or he's aware via "insider knowledge" that it's such.
  10. I didn't understand the title of your video initially...
  11. For a more benevolent take on the archetype, to me, that sounds much better than Sorcerer/Sorceress. Per typical CMS tradition, perhaps the "Enchantress" could come first, then followed-up in a future Series with her eviler "Sorceress" counterpart in the same way Lego followed-up Series 12's Wizard with Series 13's Evil Wizard. Speaking of Fright Knights, I'd like to see a CMF homage to that theme's Basil the Bat Lord, generically titled as a "Vampire Knight" perhaps.
  12. While I do prefer the minifigure-esque scale and proportions of Dino Island's molds, I am not quite as fond of their "dimple" eyes you've mentioned in the same way, as I definitely would've prefered at least some printing to make them look even more compatible/akin to minifigures. If we're only speaking about in-house themes, then no, The Flintstones don't count! Specifically, while I'd be totally down for a period-set dinosaur theme in the vein of Jules Verne's Victorian/Industrial Era Sci-Fi like I'd suggested, my heart is still set upon something seriously Pulp/Dieselpunk/Crimson Skies...
  13. It may only be a PG-13 franchise, and honestly not offer much in the way of sets, but it'd be cool to see the more recent Planet of the Apes trilogy with Andy Serkis represented by Lego in some way.
  14. Hey, I really like how Sally's hair works for the mermaid in giving her a slicked-back, wet look!
  15. Say, should this discussion topic be broadened to include speculation/wishlisting of other People Packs beyond the annual "Fun at the (insert here)" City sets, such as the Mars Mission subtheme's People Pack - Space Research and Development introduced this year?
  16. Hmmm, ya know, not really to be honest. I'm just not that into medieval fantasy or the such, so my only reference sources for the archetype include Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent and perhaps the Elves theme's Ragana. I suppose I'm just not the best person to pitch such CMF archetypes due to my ignorance of genre and its tropes. Typically though, the Collectable Minifigure line will denote an "evil" counterpart as such in its title rather than the other way around, but that's usually due to an archetype's "good" counterpart being the first on the block.
  17. So, this pack is branded under the Xtra theme? From what images I found on IG, all I saw were official images of the pack's contents, but not it's packaging.
  18. I agree with you here... It's way too much focus on the dinosaurs that are nothing but giant molds than on the builds of the sets themselfs. I would rather have something like Dino Attack back instead. Not because it's licensed or anything, it's just because they focus on the Dinosaurs way too much and rush out the builds. I want something like Dino Attack... that has equally as much focus on the builds as with the dinosaurs (where actually the builds were more important) As far as Dinosaur-centric themes go, I'm surprised no one had mentioned Adventurers' Dino Island subtheme from 2000. Though rather simplistic, I vastly prefer that line's Dinosaur molds with their minifigure-proportional blockiness and scale! Plus, EVERYTHING'S MORE AWESOME WITH A PERIOD SETTING, something the Dino Island subtheme had that hasn't been seen since then with follow-up successor themes like Dino 2010/Dino Attack, Dino (2012), and Jurassic World/Jurassic Park. So, if there's ever a Jurassic World-free lineup in Lego's future as so to make room for an in-house theme in its wake, I really, really, really hope such a line takes more after Jules Verne or Indiana Jones next time around rather than something modern-set like Jurassic Park.
  19. Is Sorceress the only title that can be used for the female counterpart to a Wizard? Are the Wizard and Sorcerer titles used interchangeably, or are there distinctions between the two? For me, Wizard has always been a neutral title that could be used for either good or bad characters, whereas I've always thought of the Sorcerer/Sorceress title as being used exclusively for a benevolent Wizard's evil counterpart.
  20. Wait, so even though it's one of those clamshell-packaged packs, it is still branded as an Xtra set rather than City? If so, minifigures in an Xtra set opens a lotta new possibilities for that supplementary theme...
  21. Then we also could really use a Prince CMF, not only just to complement Series 12's Fairytale Princess, but to also act as a counter to that hoped-for Sorceress CMF for generic Prince Phillip versus Maleficent battle vignettes/creations!
  22. Sounds fishy, to say the least A D2C being accompanied by a CMF series happened several times before (Simpsons, Disney, WW), but we know that Series 19 is next There’s no wiggle room for a fourth series this year September's CMS had already been confirmed at Nuremburg Toy Fair to only include sixteen individual figures rather than twenty, thereby not only disproving the existence of a twenty-figure CMS based upon Stranger Things (for at least this year), but also acting as further possible confirmation of Series 19 instead. How so? Thank the Maker...
  23. Same here, and I don't know why such hasn't happened yet. I mean, Lamborghini is a Volkswagen holding, so I have no idea as to what's holding Lego back... Perhaps a Creator: Designer inspired set in the form of an Automobile Design Studio? That'd be pretty damn sweeeeet...
