  1. Looks like we just might have our first information regarding 2020's Creator Expert car... Brick Fanatics - LEGO The Fast and the Furious Set Rumoured for 2020
  2. Um, have we ever had set numbers for more than one playtheme wave leak before in the past? I've always presumed these things leak on a 1HY/2HY basis.
  3. You know I'd dig a Lovecraftian-inspired wave, though I'd much prefer such inspirations to rather be utilized for an entirely new playtheme, one that can be properly set within a Pulp/Noir setting and era... ...hence why I suggested an Extraterrestrial Invasion-themed wave, so it'd be a "Space" wave as much as Alien Conquest was regarded as a Space theme.
  4. For those who may be longing for another Vikings theme... LEGO Ideas - Viking Longship with Working Catapult by legomountainfanatic
  5. Given how many sets this line will be kicking-off with, it is quite likely to be "big bang" theme with a scheduled minimum run of two to three years; and given all the hints as to how many themes it may be encompassing, I'm certain it'll be of some sorta "multiversed" nature, leaving it open to a great deal of long-term potential.
  6. Two particular ideas within either of those veins I'd be quite fond of would be for an Extraterrestrial Invasion-themed wave (i.e. Ninjago-ed Alien Conquest) or one that takes after Pacific Rim with Jaeger/Mecha-piloting Ninjas battling Kaiju.
  7. I believe we did have our first look at the theme a month earlier at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, though everybody at the time thought it was a new subtheme of City.
  8. This is a rather small project, but nonetheless still pertaint... LEGO Ideas - The Ship Sinker by Greenflame24
  9. Lego did come pretty close to such with some antagonists they'd toyed around with for Nexo Knights...
  10. For all the ninja headgear parts they keep introducing every other wave, I'm still waiting for one that's more of a helmet rather than hood/wrap, one that can be more easily reused outside of the context it was made for. If an underwater-themed wave were to happen, I'd like to see it introduce something of a Captain Nemo-esque antagonist... On the other hand, how 'bout a Space-themed wave?
  11. It is an original story with original main characters, but they're likely "fleshies" due to the narrative themes of "race, privilege and gentrification" that the last director assigned to the film wanted to explore.
  12. Well, no doubt here as to whether this submission is worthy of mention here... LEGO Ideas - Fantasy Era Medieval House: Here Comes Trouble by l_hendriksen You're quite welcome! We're all looking most forward to what you and TLG are cooking-up with your official Pirate Bay set!
  13. Well, the thought had crossed my mind when I first saw the new torso print introduced for the Clutch Powers figure in 40342; because if it weren't for the character's initials emblazoned on both the back and front of the jacket, you would've had the perfect torso for a "yellow-ifyed" Indiana Jones!
  14. Looks like @Sylon has submitted one of his good 'ol GARC builds from 2014 to LEGO Ideas this morning... LEGO Ideas - Firebird: A Space Racer by Sylon
  15. I'll take an original constraction theme with a heavy Decopunk/Teslapunk flare, thank you very much...
  16. Well then, why haven't we seen another in-house Space theme after Galaxy Squad? I sure don't think Disney's helping... If an in-house counterpart just isn't viable at the moment, then I'd personally take "in-house" takes on those IPs over nothing. For instance, I found sets based upon Lego's Yoda Chronicles and Freemaker Adventures much more interest piquing than what Star Wars offers most of the time. Nah, the next in-house Dinosaur theme should be set either during the Victorian Era/Industrial Age or the Jazz Age/Machine Age, as Jurassic World and the 2012 Dino theme have modern settings, while 2005's Dino Attack/Dino 2010 that preceded both of those was set during a Post-Apocalyptic future. Besides, modernity can only monopolize so much...
  17. Given that it's a 2HY release, I think it's likely it'll be announced at February 2020's New York Toy Fair like Hidden Side was at this year's NYTF.
  18. Nope, TLM2 and TBBR were completely separate, distinct developments. Oh, and speaking of such, you just might want to disregard that whole stretch of a theory of mine, because the last director assigned to the project revealed some concept art and other details about the film quite shortly after I put forth that postulation... The Brick Fan - The Billion Brick Race Concept Art Released
  19. Maybe I'm being a bit too presumptuous, but from what Jorge has disclosed so far, it seems his take might not've even involved any kinda Lego Multiverse plot elements that I thought the story would concern itself with, staying put within only one setting. If so, then that had to have been the case with the initial pitch, right?
  20. Not 100% sure if this counts as Historical, but @paokus's latest submission is pre-twentieth century, so... LEGO Ideas - The Bakery by Bricky_Brick
  21. For those who want a closeup embedded here rather than following the Twitter link...
  22. OK then... *cracks knuckles* LEGO Creator: Inventor's Toolbox (a Steampunk-themed assortment kit similar to 20215 Invention Designer) LEGO DC SuperHeroes: Batcave Workshop (a freestyle assortment kit for building & designing your own Bat-Vehicles) LEGO Creator: Aviator's Toolbox (an Adventurers-inspired assortment kit for building & designing your own aeroplanes) LEGO DC SuperHeroes: Green Lantern's Power Ring (an assortment kit mostly composed of bricks in many solid & transparent shades of green) LEGO Speed Champions: Automobile Designer (an assortment kit for building your own original car design, with no ties to a particular automotive brand)
  23. Given that you posted this in General LEGO Discussion, I presume this topic is open to suggestions beyond the City theme?
  24. Whoa, thanks a billion for highlighting these here @Lyichir!!! Looks like despite being an original project, they wanted to go with "fleshies" for the characters as so to highlight the story's themes, as he puts it... In the conversation, Jorge said he might highlight some conceptual vehicular designs too...
  25. My favorites still have to be Day 4's Snow Maiden and Day 9's Present Holiday Ghost...
