  1. Looks like 5 bevel gears along with the red gear which seems to mesh differently to the usual clutch gears. Possible a clutch gear could mesh to the other side of the LBG case?
  2. I'd start real simple. You've got space by the looks to make sure that bracket piece is secured properly. Two blue cross-axle pins 2L in it into a lift arm secured on either side.
  3. Seems the front stabilisers are just manually pulled down with the red ball joint pieces. I guess that's something to mod! Nice to see the yellow panels back - building 8043 in yellow will be possible without costing the earth!
  4. This is awesome. It's a really sleak looking design as well as having the necessary features. Great work!
  5. Absolutely beautiful pictures as per usual Jim. Thanks! I agree the rear closing mechanism seems too complex - I think Milan wanted it to auto-lock on push which it does with the loose band, but it does seem it could be simplified. My only other complaint about this set are the universal joints in the drive train - but I haven't yet seen a way to do it without that as yet (though I expect something like that will be improved at some point!)
  6. FYI: On sale at Toyco.co.nz in NZ for $799. Interestingly, not listed under the Limited Edition section, so likely will be 20% off within a week or two, as per their usual sales, and possibly 25% off in run up to Christmas. They don't yet have 42110 listed.
  7. This is really nicely done. Beautiful panel work! Does the blue gear rub against the wheel at all (it seems only held in place by the wheel?)
  8. The slope piece isn't holding the door shut - the black piece behind it is doing that. The slope piece is just to make it easier to close.
  9. My bet is it's one of these (first in 42078 I think?) It's in the pinhole of a 7L black thin liftarm. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=24201
  10. Milan has done an awesome job on this one! I wonder if it has Ackermann? A few shots in the video suggest it, but can't see the mechanism. Super happy to be getting the wave selector, blue clutch and yellow extender in this set, plus D/N/R, 4 speeds and hi/lo - excellent!
  11. I like the use of those new 3x3 crossblock pieces for the engine.
  12. Given gearing seems to be done inside, it could be the steering is inside only too, and the winch is the HOG on top? Still, seems a HOG could probably be added pretty easily. Am looking forward to this one!
  13. By the looks your lift won't align with your diamond pattern as you have it? Why not instead have the lift be a 4x4 plate (or larger if needed) aligned normally? The 1x1 cylinders would then be in each corner and in the middle, and it'd pop up a cross-shaped platform on the 45. That way everything is on grid so nice and easy to do.
  14. Is there a dataset available with weight, price, number of pieces, year, licensed, electronics etc? I guess with brickset/rebrickable pulling down the data would be reasonably easy? Once done, model price with everything available and then take a look at outliers to refine things.
  15. Pretty much every store in NZ has it available. One for 15% off already. 20% off the other two sets. Usually we're usually behind the rest of the world e.g. we only got the Mustang about two months ago. I'll wait for 25% off :)
  16. Available today for sale in NZ at Toyco for NZ$419 (no discount). So cheaper than 42082 was ($499). Lot of $ for the pieces. (42097 and 42098 also available, at 20% off). It'll likely be available with a 20 or 25% discount there before end of year.
  17. I thought the little wheels might be the stand for the trailer, but it doesn't need them given the wheel spacing. Definitely a mechanism there - will be interesting to see what it is.
  18. 42110 wil be similar density to 42069 - about the same size, and similar part count. Not as dense as 42083 which was IMO way too dense (too many parts with no real purpose) but still nicely form locked. I recall taking 42069 apart required a bit of thought to the order of it - a good indication of form locking.
  19. Yeah - I assume the existing rims will fit as well (e.g. the rear could just be two rims side by side maybe?) I'm guessing there's a brake disc or something on the other side of the front wheel, given the LBG pin there?
  20. Love the race car - really nice use of the parts available!
  21. Neat. Looks like it has a bunch of the double split connector 41768 in normal orange (also in 42088). I like the new orange colour.
  22. It's a Milan design though, right? He designed *3* Mack's from 42078... So if there's no official B, my guess is there'll be an unofficial one :)
  23. Looks like a larger frame in black at the top of the windshield. 7x11 maybe? Definitely looks like Milan's (excellent!) work. This is the (first) one I'm getting out of the 3 big ones. The other two will have to wait for (big!) sales. By the looks the front seats will fold down to allow access to the rear ones. I reckon this will have a bunch of nice little touches inside.
  24. Wonder if this is going to be Milan's set for 2019? I have high hopes.
  25. Does seem to be some new CV joint. Look a bit more like a #1 connector in profile maybe - with the 'ribbed' look, and also a bit thicker. The new hubs seem pretty much like @Zerobricks proposed - used in 2 orientations as suggested. No B-model is annoying, but I guess 9398's B-model wasn't very good anyway. And I'm sure that B/C models will be MOC'd :)
