Yes it is. It's been too long since I did comething to this model. I feel like I'll just disassemble it That was a good experience anyway.

Sorry for a late response, I've been out for a while. The model is not finished, but there was a progress that I didn't post. Right now I don't have full access to my Lego so I try some things in stud.io, parts of which were built phisically. The most important thing is that model is no longer RC, putting C+ hub in the place that I chose was a terrible idea. This means that I have to "reverse" all gearing reatios in gearbox. One day I'll post detailed description of new gearbox design, it's already finished. Now, some pictures: Removing motors meant that I needed fake engine and it should fit into a narrow space. Here it is. I also played with instructions builder, here's result: https://bricksafe.com/files/ibessonov/wip-moc-lamborghini-aventador-svj-2020/v12.pdf It also meant that I can rework suspension and make it similar to 42115 Lambo. Which I did. I made a better shape for doors and hiden mechanism that opens them. Doors are also properly angled now, looks much better. I think that roof design is final now, I like how these angled panels look. It's better in real life than on pictures. Rear section is pretty much complete. Of course, I still need to refine some minor things and build the internal frame that will hold all this stuff together. Tail lights are too thick but I can live with it :) So yeah, that's the quick update, thank you!

So many new pages in this forum during the night, wow! I expected new 11x15 frames, but man, that giant hole in the bottom So good. It really looks like we'll be having a LOT of prints this time, or some pictures were edited to hide sides of stickers, which is also a possibility. Can't wait to have it finally.

Wow, how damaging is it for the tire? Does it become loose on the old rim?- 5,501 replies

I don't have that specific tire, this one is from BMW, but they have the same diameter on the inside. I couldn't squeese spike wheel into it, the difference is too big.- 5,501 replies

I'm risking to look like a weirdo, but I'm not convinced :) Higher on the same picture there's something that resembles yellow rubber band folded in half, I can't identify this piece. So the one that you mention might be the same exact thing. Anyway, picture is so bad that is't impossible to say what's in it. I think I see the old DBG differential, but why would it be there...
-
- different wheel arches - complex doors - probably a new engine pieces, I really hope so - new central diff won't be surprising, it is already available in TG car. - proper 7+R gearbox with limiter on the gear selector? - free-spinning 12z gear, who knows? It could be anything, but I wouldn't expect too much innovation. Guys have to make a new step forward every two years, and there's not too much that they can realistically do.

Yeah, these connections should not be stressed under any circumstances. And you never know, how much external reinforcement you need so it will be secure enough and won't crack- 5,501 replies

Well, as much as I love LEGO, I never actually "play" with it and don't get why people want HOG so much. Like, will someone here drive the car on his/her table and steer it for more then a minute in total? Maybe to show it to other people, I guess. Now imagine how much it would cost for designers to implement this feature, for the product that is targeted as "premium" basically and intended to be on the shelf for most its lifetime.

Rear differential in Bugatti was lower so the car can fit that humongous engine. It can't be done without frictionless slides in old CV-joints, that's what I tried to say. Other useful result of this is that sometimes you can basically disassemble the joint without disassembling anything else in the model, I'm using this right now in my lambo model for example (no pictures yet).
