Hi @WesternOutlaw! I read that you said you do opinion pieces, and I just want to say that those are the kind of posts I just love.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
That might be true since, as far as what I'm aware of, Lego hasn't made any translucent green windshields/canopies for awhile.- 991 replies

[MOC] R75 "Weevil" High-Performance Racer
Trekkie99 replied to GarryTheMinifig's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Congratulations on your first MOC post here on Eurobricks! And I love this creation! Its like an off road blade runner, and the color scheme is perfect I think. If you did it in black though, it would make a great Batmobile! And seriously, is it OK if I say that this model is totally official Lego set worthy?! Because it is! Thumbs up! -
It's to early. I'd wait a while longer before bringing this up again. However, there is the best superhero minifig contest? Someone can always do that.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Trekkie99 replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I agree with you on all these points except that translucent neon green is one of my favorites, and I would really like to see Blacktron three come in a black with translucent neon green color scheme. But as you pointed out, black with translucent green would probably work very well along with giving it a more sinister feeling. Speaking of sinister, Blacktron two? Dorky to the max. Especially the minifigs. Although the builds were pretty cool IMO.- 991 replies

The Greatest Collectible Minifigure THANKS AND GOODBYE
Trekkie99 replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Elf for me since he's historical. And for all the discussion about Elf not being original, I think he's original since Lego did him before they did LOTR. Also, I prefer yellow skin tone.- 2,045 replies

Lol! This is a fun display! Very realistic. I like the part where the guy is giving the woman the chocolate. Thumbs up.

Ooh! I love this tram! Awesome, clean design. And the design for the motor is great! It certainly handles the curves well. Thumbs up.

This. Also, as @rodiziorobs pointed out, minifig parts and their accessories are often times great for building.
-
Hmm. Bar or clip? That's a tricky decision. However I'd have to agree with you @badgerboy on using a bar most notably because (1) many hinged parts such as the one you pointed and many others are designed that way and (2) you would have a lot more options for building IMO.

Yo! 2012? Welcome back!
-
Minifigs getting to much attention? Nah. Bricks and pieces not getting enough attention? Maybe. But as others have pointed there's been an uptick in new parts recently so maybe things are looking up. Stickers or prints? ∆ This ∆ As for all the other other points people brought up, I tend to agree.

"Groan!" Everyone I voted for (excluding rogue and retro spaceman) is losing! But its not that I don't like the Satyr/Faun, its just that he reminds me of Mr. Tumnus from Narnia. And that guy was creepy!- 2,045 replies

I don't think it would be that bad! At the very least it would be "unique".

Wow! This is cool! The ovel boiler is cool (or maybe more like steaming hot! ), and I also really like your hopper cars. Question: Is the custom built track for a reason or because it looks cool? (Because it's indeed cool!)

Beautiful modulars!!! My favorites would definitely have to be the magic shop and the sweets & co.! I love German tutor style homes, and all the colors on the sweets & co. works great for the feeling of the building. The old apple tree is a great touch as well! I guess the sweets shop would actually have to be my all time favorite because it brings back memories of being younger and reading Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory! Great book! More thumbs up than I have!
