That's what I'm hoping for @Mark Bellis. A Bluetooth enabled receiver + remotes, and of course the option of using an app instead to control your model from your smart device or notebook. Everything else about the current PF system is fine the way it is currently IMO. But then on the flip side, it would be nice to have the receiver function compacted in to the battery box to save space.

What's your opinion on Power Functions 2.0, and the potential that we may or may not have a separate receiver unit for the new system? Do you want a separate receiver unit like what we have currently, or do you want a combo unit composing of both a receiver unit and a battery box? Also, how important is a separate receiver unit to you? (Shoot. It appears the poll isn't working.) My personal opinion is the following. 1: Sort of. 2: Sort of. 3: Sort of necessary.

Hopefully if the plug design changes, Lego will continue to use the current PF motors, just with the new plug design.
-
The thing is though is that Technic builders might need a separate receiver unit. Which makes me think that all "PF 2.0" will be is a new receiver unit.
-
Well whatever's in store for PF 2.0, I hope nothing drastic changes. For example, I hope we'll still have an XL motor with the same features such as torque, pin holes, etc. Otherwise, my monorail designs are doomed!

Either Amanda is town and she doesn't care, or she's scum and she knows the jig is up. I for one am going with the latter. And if she is scum, I bet she's going to be out for some revenge tonight before she gets hauled away in the paddy wagon in the morning.

3 hours, 20 minutes I believe? 4 votes for Amanda, 2 votes for Anthony.
-
Her silence is why some have voted for her in the first place. How has she "split the vote"?
-
We're calling on Amanda because she's been flying under the radar. And that is suspicious behavior. Right?
-
Anthony is not scum IMO.

Yes! I want to see Lego make a shunter so bad!

Thanks! I'm surprised you noticed that little detail in the thrusters. Pneumatic hose has a lot of fun uses!

A little Mtron speeder I built awhile back. Enjoy! Cheers. LMF.

Thanks @Asper! Yes! I've seen that design, and it is one smooth sailing monorail! Very impressive! -

Updated! My Lego monorail switch track is now up on my Flickr. Link to full album is on the main post of this topic. I've taken plenty of pictures so it'll be easy for people to copy the design. (Not that there's anything complex about the it. ) My intention when building the switch was to make an extremely simplified version of Masai Hidaka's switch design, and I think it works pretty good. Cheers. LMF. -

I was curious if there is a way to make the PF switch (part #bb339c01), spring loaded so it will function like the basic PF remote (part #58122c01). Understandably I can operate the switch by hand to do the same thing, but I thought it would be a fun function to add to the switch. I was thinking someone had probably already accomplished this way better than I ever could, but if not I guess it's back to the drawing board.
