  1. My name. Is Sparky Trucks. I am ready. To dispose of the "Sinister Insane". machine
  2. Ooh, this looks great def. I love your presentation, very professional. - I have no plans to be away as of now, though there's a possibility I could be absent for a couple of days in the first week of January. - I've participated in ten EB mafia games altogether (three of which I've hosted), so that alone probably qualifies me as insane. Now what do we have here? 1. A falling robot 2. A laughing Neanderthal 3. A bunny 4. An angry penguin 5. The head of a praying mantis
  3. Thanks. I've just used natural lighting, the photos were taken at sunset.
  4. It's been a while since I've taken any outdoor photos, but I thought I'd try and give it another go... Cheers.
  5. Thanks for the comment KielDaMan. I've just taken a couple more photos: Hermes and Calypso: A side view of the cave: Thanks.
  6. Great stuff, 74loloutte! he buildings are lovely, especially the temple with the karyatid (?) columns. I love the positioning of the figures too, it really creates the sense of a bustling little community. The hairpieces you've chosen look spot on for an Ancient Greek setting, I especially like your use of the Qui-Gon and Bellatrix hair. Nice work loloutte, keep it up.
  7. Now we're getting to the juicy stuff... This is the fifth of my The Odyssey MOCs. If you've missed the previous four vignettes, make sure you go back and check them out: In Book 5, the Council of the Gods is called. Athene urges Zeus and the others to free Odysseus from Calypso's island, where he has been imprisoned for seven years. Zeus decides that Odysseus' fate is to make it back home to Ithaka, and sends Hermes to deliver the message to Calypso. Reluctantly, Calypso frees her love Odysseus, and allows him to build a boat to sail home in. Without minifigs: More pictures can be found here. Enjoy! Any feedback will be much appreciated.
  8. That's a very cool figure, Admiral Ron! It's great to see my decals being put to good use. I like the use of the chainmail head, it works so well with that torso. I'd like to see some barding on that horse though, I feel it would really help round off your entry. The new Lion barding would probably work: Nice job, and all the best for the contest.
  9. Wow, this is certainly a step up from Series 3. The sailor is great. I'll have to get two of these guys - Popeye and Bluto anyone? Loving the musketeer too - the 17th Century is something TLC hasn't really explored yet, so it's great to get someone from that era. The hat, the sword and the fleur-de-lys torso are all superb. I'm gonna have to get quite a few of these guys. Thanks for the news Tribolego.
  10. I have indeed! Take a look at Brickadier General's stunning Civil War diorama... ... And his armies by themselves... ... Mrcool1804's "Battle of Spotsylvania" is worth a look too... Have fun.
  11. Thank you. This is the fourth vignette from a series of (possibly) 24. Unfortunately I usually break these vigs soon after I've finished taking the photos, as I usually need the pieces for the new MOC I'm working on. Thanks as always.
  12. We're up to a Book 4 now. If you've missed the previous three MOCs, go back and take a look at Books One, Two and Three. Book Four details Telemachus' journey to Sparta, where he hopes King Menelaus will be able to tell him what has become of his father Odysseus. Menelaus and Helen welcome Telemachus and Peisistratus as guests, and recount tales of Odysseus at Troy, including the story of the Trojan Horse. The next day, Menelaus tells Telemachus of his own voyage back from Troy. On his journey, he captured the Old Man of the Sea, who told him of Odysseus' fate - that he is still alive, but imprisoned on an island by the Titaness Calypso... Without minfigs: Full gallery can be found here Enjoy! Any feedback will be much appreciated.
  13. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Thanks. The lovely printing on the horse isn't a custom decal though, it's from the Prince of Persia line. Thanks. This MOC is Greek, but the chariot I made certainly ended up looking very Roman didn't it? Thank you. The Odyssey takes place after the Trojan War though, so unfortunately you won't be seeing any fully-fledged battle scenes like that. Thanks again everyone. You can expect to see Book 4 sometime within the week.
  14. Welcome to Book 3 of the Odyssey. If you've missed them, go back and take a look at Book 1 and Book 2 first. No, I haven't given up yet. I do realise this vignette series may get a little tedious though - just about every book is either set on a boat or in a palace. I'll definitely at least try to cover all of Odysseus' wanderings. Here's Book 3 anyway, in which Telemachus visits Nestor in Pylos. Nestor recounts to Telemachus the stories Agamemnon and Orestes, but knows nothing of Odysseus' fate. He provides Telemachus with a chariot driven by his son Pesistratus, and sends them to Sparta, in the belief that Menelaus may have heard from Odysseus. The full book can be found here Nestor and his sons bid farewell to their guest Telemachus and Pesistratus ride off to Sparta More pictures can be found here. Enjoy! Any feedback is much appreciated.
  15. I really like that new fish minifig, the face on his torso makes him extra creepy. I love that the Atlantis creatures get stranger and stranger the further the explorers go. The new diver suits look cool too, only I wish they would've used a different shade of yellow for the arms. When I look at regular yellow I can't help but think of it as minifig flesh. Thanks for the review Taaron!
  16. I've been waiting for this. Do you know if this is for a certain period of time, or just until they get rid of the stock?
  17. The Crucible - Because I'm still a witch. 101.07 - the number on my letterbox.
  18. Just saw 7947, 7949 and 7950 at the Wellington Farmers. They've got a 25% off sale just for today.
  19. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Thanks. Either spelling can be used. I'd like to give that a go at some point. At the moment the head needs a base in order to stay together. Yes, I gave Athene a flesh-tone, since she's not a mortal and all that. Plus she's always described in The Odyssey as having blue eyes, and only the flesh heads have those. Thanks again.
  20. Just got my traffic cop today. Thanks again.
  21. Sounds like you had a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to those pics. I wish I'd have gone now, I remember it was good the year I went (2008, I think?).
  22. We're on to Book 2. If you missed Book 1, here's a link. Now Telemachus is leaving Ithaka in search of his father Odyssesus. He will travel to Pylos and Sparta, to learn from Odysseus' old comrades of his fate. The crew carry over some last-minute supplies: Telemachus does his best DiCaprio impression: "I'm king of the world!" Without the figs: The head of the trireme: Enjoy! Feedback is always much appreciated.
  23. It's not too early for Witch Hunt Mafia II is it?
  24. Stunning. I love the landscaping and the dark, subdued colour palette you've used. That little helot (?) house is great too, I never get tired of that 1x1 cylinder roof technique. The worn look of it is a nice contrast with the imposing temple. One thing I might suggest is giving the grey statue a sword and shield - something a little more warlike. Aside from that though it's great, I like the way you've done the fluting. Great work Etzel, I'm loving all of these Greek MOCs that have been popping up recently.
  25. One point for each: 4) Lifeguard Entry (Build by Dan Church) - Simple but effective. It really captures the feeling of being on a beach. 29) Witch Entry (Build by Almirante Don Rodrigo) - Very original. I love those legs. 38) Jungle Explorer Entry (Build by Etzel) - Explorer cannibalism never gets old. Great work!
