Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 4
MagPiesRUs replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Unbelievable. I hope you all realise we'll learn absolutely nothing if we don't vote today. This argument has already gone on for 2 days, let's not let it go on any longer. All the while the scum are killing and converting our loyal soldiers. -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 4

Well, clearly you won't let me get away with that excuse, and I'm sure the rest of the regiment won't either. If Reutal turns out to be loyal, I'll be voted off no matter what. But as I've said, I'm just about certain I'm sane. Also, you'll notice that Sgt. Hemphill wasn't blocked last night, which would've been the first thing the scum would've done had he really been an honoured investigator. Instead they blocked me. As far as we can tell, Hemphill wasn't attacked by the killer last night either. -

But I haven't been in the spotlight until now. If anything I'm drawing attention towards myself now. And the deserters are cowards and thieves. Do you really think they'll risk one of their own members just to take out one honoured? There's a larger percentage of honoured soldiers than deserters, so doing this would hurt the deserters more than it would hurt us. -

Vote: Pvt. David Reutal (Dragonator) Pvt. Reutal seems the greater threat at the moment since it seems he's the night killer. We can deal with Sgt. Hemphill later on. What do I have to gain from lying about this? I'll be the next one voted off if I'm wrong about Reutal. -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 4
MagPiesRUs replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
By now I'm sure the scum already know this, so I'd might as well tell everyone in public. I'm the honoured investigator. Pvt Yellman has already told you the information I've found: - On Night 1 I investigated Sergeant Stanely Hemphill (Stash2sixx), and discovered that he was a deserter. I found two letters in his backpack. The first was about his wife being severely ill. The second was more revealing, and from it I could conclude he was a deserter. - On Night 2, I investigated Pvt. David Reutal (Dragonator). He too is a deserter. I found a blood-stained rag and a knife in his backpack. I also read a note too, which suggested he was a deserter. There was also something about them needing to kill everyone in the regiment in order to desert. - On Night 3, I tried to investigate Provost Guard Mason Dalese (MetroiD). As I've already said though, I was blocked, so I found out nothing. The scum attempted to convert me on Night 2 but failed, presumably because I'm incorruptible (and therefore more likely to be a sane investigator). The wording of the letters from the voice in the sky seem to suggest I'm sane too. -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 4
MagPiesRUs replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You're right. To clarify: the actual message I received said that the epaulettes were faint, but that I wasn't sure whether they were yellow or just a fainted red. I'm just assuming that "faint" would include gold too. I'm also assuming the epaulettes weren't red as then the clue would be useless to us. Ugh. I guess the ones with blue epaulettes are off the hook at least. -

So you tried to investigate Ian Des last night? Why did you choose to withhold this information at first? Also, you say he was asleep in his bed while you were investigating. This means he can't have been the one with faint epaulettes who tied up my tent. And if you were out investigating, the only faint epaulette wearer left is Mason Dalese. We can't be certain about any piece of information we're given in this game... of life. Why ignore this one? -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 4
MagPiesRUs replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
All I did was raise the possibility that he's paranoid - he found 2 deserters on the first 2 nights after all. However, from private conversations and the additional information Pvt. Yellman has offered, I do believe him to be sane. I wasn't able to vote last night because I was on latrine duty for the whole of the evening (Our street's internet went off for half a day because of some construction down the road). But that all has little to do with the point that I'd originally raised. But the voice also told us not to look for clues in the pictures, as they are just reenactments of sorts. So as far as I'm concerned, no one is above suspicion And if Pvt. Reutal isn't the killer, where do you suppose he got a bloodied knife from? We haven't been in a battle for quite some time, so he couldn't have got it from there. -

But we already know from our investigator that Pvt. Reutal is the killer. Wasn't he away from the camp on border patrol last night? I finding it very worrying that everyone is trying to divert attention away from Reutal and the Sergeant and are again trying to shift the suspicion onto the Provost guard. Also, the message I received didn't mention gold epaulettes specifically. It said the epaulettes were faint, but I couldn't tell if they were yellow or a feinted red. -

Someone tightened the ties on my tent so that I couldn't get out. I could just make out that the tent-tying terror had feint epaulettes (so most likely either yellow or gold). Who was the person you investigated? Why weren't you able to find out their allegiance as you had the last two nights? -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 3
MagPiesRUs replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hmm, this is all very interesting. I can't believe an investigator could manage to find two deserters in the first two nights. I wonder if it's possible he's paranoid? Pvt. Yellman, did you learn anything else from this investigator? Agreed. Private Toreil, if you have any useful information about these investigations Pvt. Yellman seems to have received, please tell us. We need all the help we can right now. -
Hmm, that white thing looks like the Demon Statue from the Guard House. I wonder if it's the same one or not?

Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 3
MagPiesRUs replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The lieutenant has been put out of action too? Cowards! It seems these deserters are targeting our upper management. I did manage to learn a slither of information last night however... During the night, a man I couldn't make out approached me. He tried to convince me to desert, the dirty rat. He failed to convert me however. Angered, I tried to grab him, but, the serpent that he was, he managed to escape. Alas, if only I could've caught the beggar. I would've torn the traitor to pieces. Long story short, the deserters can convert us in the night. So, how about those sausages? -
Imperial Soldier's Mafia: Day 2
MagPiesRUs replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I agree, Alain's longing to be with his family is a tad suspicious (although maybe too obvious for a deserter to say). This on top of his request for our investigators to out themselves so early in this game we call life. Just to apply some pressure and get perhaps something out of this day, I'll Vote: Alain Entainte / Alice for now. -

What dastard would murder our beloved captain? Farewell Cpt. Lecoq, it was a privilege to fight alongside a brave man such as yourself. Hopefully some good has come from the night, has anyone learned anything new? Of course, you can never trust these drawings, but I wonder if we could assume the killer was a private? -
Whack me if you must.

Computer Game - Napoleon: Total War
MagPiesRUs replied to Sir Wellington's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, Napoleon: Total War is out now. I'll try to pick it up in the weekend and give it a go. Official Website Launch Trailer Cinematic Trailer -
That was a great little movie you made IS, it's certainly an interesting idea to include animations in a mafia game. If you do want to keep making animations, I'd suggest just making a couple of generic animations (eg. someone voted off will have their back to the camera when killed) to mix and match throughout the game.

If you still don't like the colours, you should be able to copy the picture onto MS Paint and switch them to your heart's content.
-
You can do most of those by using the search function and colour guide on bricklink: Dual-sided heads Yellow heads Glasses Non-human (alien) heads Yellow heads with moustaches etc. I don't think there's a way to exclude certain types of head though (eg. no glasses).

How are these? I hope you have a happy birthday.

Thanks for the pics, I'm loving Prison Tower Rescue even more! I Love the cute bridge at the back, it's nice to see that it actually has stairs and ladders, something that's been missing in many of the recent castle sets. The prison doesn't necessarily have to be open at the back either, you can push the ladder up to form some bars. The great helms aren't so bad either. The only problem I have is that there should be two seperate eye slits. I can't find any pictures of great helms with a single eye slit.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
MagPiesRUs replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the pic Alchemyst, I'm loving the mime and the Egyptian. The face on that Dr. Livingstone-type fig looks great too, I'm a sucker for monocles. And the afro minifig's name is "disco stu"? Thanks again. -
Oh dear, poor Stanton. It's sad when they go so young. I'm sorry for your loss Richard.
