  1. ROAR, it looks like we've reached a decision. Cameron certainly makes a convincing argument, but I'm not happy with how quick everyone was to jump on the bandwagon. I'll keep my vote where it is, otherwise I'll be kicking myself if Horace does turn out to be a cultist. I'm hoping we'll learn a lot from Maurice's death tomorrow, but I have a horrible feeling the janitor will try to keep us in the dark (I remember the janitor only struck every 3 days in Spring Haven). Perhaps our watcher should see if they're able to target Maurice tonight to make sure there's no funny business? Zzzzzzzzzz...
  2. I'm still pretty confident Horace is a cultist. I'll stick to my guns on this one. ROOOOAAAAR!!! Vote: Horace Horse (iamded) Gordon, you don't seem to have told us why you're suspicious of Maurice, aside from the fact that he switched his vote yesterday. You seem quite confident he's a cultist, but you haven't really verbalised exactly why yet. I'd certainly like to hear from anyone else who was in contact with Brigit yesterday. Perhaps they could confirm whether or not their conversations with Brigit match with what Maurice has told us? Or better yet, what made Brigit suspicious of Horace in the first place. Hmm... Fishy bandwagon? Bandy wagonfish? I don't know, I'm just throwing words together. Maybe the whole transcript is an anagram? Has anyone tried that yet? Zzzzzzzzzz...
  3. It doesn't really matter how you worded it, you were still praising your accuser. It just seems wierd to me that you saw Maurice's behaviour as pro-town, but everyone else seemed to think her method of accusation was suspicious. I wish I could chill out, but you never let me have any of your shrooms. Dick. Well, it was the next post you made, so unfortunately we didn't get to see your thought process in between. The only reasons to lynch Petey I can find that was used was that he was too defensive and that we'd learn the most from his death. He was being accused of being too defensive early on, so that mustn't have been the reason you voted for him. The next day you didn't seem very eager to pursue anyone associated with Petey's lynch either, and admitted on day 3 that her list wasn't much help at all. I just thought it was an interesting little tidbit. I've known cultists to do things like that before. I wasn't sure what the deal was with Ernie's death, and at first I didn't think it had anything to do with the cultist kill, since a shadowed killer wasn't involved. From what Cameron's just revealed though, I guess that was just a normal cultist kill. And if Pennie reported that she had been hypnotised earlier on in this game (of life), then I guess the hypno-fire kill must've been available to them from the beginning. Yes, you said this: And yet on day 1, your vote seemed to be mainly based around what we could learn from Petey's list. You seemed to think that we would learn a lot from these day 1 suspicions. I still don't understand what changed between then and now. Oh god, all this talking makes me tired... I'll be back later... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
  4. Looking back, here are a few more little things I've noticed about Horace. I must admit, each point alone doesn't warrant a lynching, but together with Maurice's and Brigit's suspicions, it all starts to pile up. 1. He commends Maurice for accusing him. Who does that? Everyone knows that when someone accuses you, you have to act like a dick to them. It's the rules of lynch-mobbing. The way he places trust in Maurice here strikes me as an attempt to placate him and stop him from pushing the argument any further. It almost seems as if he knows Maurice is a villager. Whilst Horace sees Maurice's attacks as pro-town, confirmed villagers like Gibson and Portia see these same attacks as too aggressive and an attempt to split the votes. 2. At first, he says that the hostility towards Petey is silly and that there are few valid options on first days.Next thing we know, he jumps on the bandwagon. When called out for it, he says that he'd rather make use of his ability to vote than do nothing with it. Come day 4, he says he says he'd rather do nothing with his vote. Which is a good move for scum really, since he knows that us villagers would be looking out for anyone who joined a bandwagon against a cultist at the last minute. 3. Him and Gordon have a discussion about vials and the possibility that the scum need them in order to night-kill. Granted, they were talking about the potions Firuz gives out at night, but it sort of raises alarm bells for me now that the cultists actually are collecting vials and possibly gaining a fire kill as a result. Horace says that the villagers would be lucky if the scum needed vials in order to make kills, which might be a subtle little jab at god for making things harder for the cultists. 4. As Maurice mentioned, he draws attention to Petey's list, then quickly drops the idea come day 2. When called out for it, he says that he didn't really think the list was very important, and that we can't really learn anything from day 1 suspicions. Which is just about the exact opposite of what he said on day 1. Perhaps Casey didn't want more attention drawn to her, and told Horace to drop the idea? 5. Horace and Casey are the first to bring forward the accusation against Ralphy. First Horace draws attention to one of Ralphy's comments, then quickly agrees with Casey when she brings forward her more substantial argument. 6. Avoids mentioning Casey at all for the whole of day 4, giving us nothing that will link him one way or the other. 7. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
  5. ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRR!!! Not my lovely boing-ing wife! Fear not, my dear, we will avenge you. We'll root out these cowardly cultists, beat them all to death with lots of blunt objects. We've certainly got some good leads today. Then, once they're all gone, we'll do that thing again, where all our souls re-emerge from a demon's jaws. You know, that thing. We'll see each other again, I'm sure of it. It's great to see that Casey turned out to be a cultist. I must admit, I wasn't convinced that Casey or Pennie were scum, and for that reason I abstained from voting yesterday, but I'm glad that in Casey's case I was proved wrong. I fear one of us may have been poisoned today however, given that the cultists seem to be collecting green vials, and Firuz Fox noted yesterday that he didn't have any poison left to kill Casey. Therefore I suggest we start discussing today's lynch as soon as possible, lest one of us die before we can bring something important forward. I would certainly like to hear more about Horace today, considering that my wife strongly suspected him yesterday, and claimed she would have more substantial evidence against him when the night was over. I'm sure some of you will suggest that the cultists killed my dear wife in order to frame Horace, but it's just as likely that they were trying to silence her before she could bring more damning evidence against him, whilst also possibly eliminating a town power role. I just wish Brigit had elaborated further on why she suspected Horace. I'm hoping one of the people she was in contact with will be able to shed more light on the situation.
  6. Roar, I'm a lion. Lions don't usually wear blue sweaters, but I like them. Hmm, I've never heard of scum using a meatshield so early on, that sounds a little too risky considering they can usually get an easy town lynch on day one. Not to mention Carly's behaviour towards Wallace was very different from how she acted with Casey. So I still believe Carly and Casey will not be on the same side. I don't believe anyone mentioned this in the day, but looking back I just noticed that Felix fox standing behind the fountain in one of the pictures. When we next cut back to the fountain, it looks like he's left a map behind. Can anyone make any sense out of that?
  7. I'm a lion. I have a mane. And teeth. And stuff. ROOAAR! I was considering calling out Casey today, due to the voting pattern of day one that Cameron has already brought up, and the way she's more or less dropped off the map after being so involved the Petey affair on day 1. I just can't get past the idea that Carly wasn't scum. I still don't understand why she would go so silent at the end of day 2 if she was indeed a villager. If she was scum, it seems unlikely that Casey is too, since Carly voted for her so early on in day 1, before Petey had collected any votes. Plus, her attacking a scum team mate like this would contradict with her defense of Wallace - one of the major reasons most of us have labelled Carly as scum in the first place. Also, if Carly and Casey were both scum, I'm sure the cultists would've wanted us to see Carly's allegiance, as that would leave Casey with an excellent defense for later on. So I don't know. I'd be interested to hear some more thoughts on Casey. As for Pennie Pig, I she's seems harmless to me. I'm not sure a cultist would be so reckless, to be honest. Out of Pennie and Gordon, I feel that lynching Gordon would yield us more information, since he's had more interactions with people which we can work off from. Speaking of Gordon... ... Are you able to give us an update on this? Do you feel you can trust this person now, or are you still trying to figure it out? Hmm, are you able to elaborate on this, my dear? What's he been saying in private that's suspicious? I'm sure that's just a joke. I highly doubt a host would ever single out one person and pile clues against them. Stop whining about that, Marcellus. You know that song, Too Much Monkey Business? It was originally going to be called Too Much Lion Business, but you don't see me complaining. That song delivers a bad message anyway. It's the common monkey that has helped build this town from the ground up. You can never have too many monkey businessmen. I am, and always will be in support of equal-opportunity employment in Winter Haven.
  8. Actually, I think it's Portia who could voluntarily choose to turn into a tree stump and sleep in someone's bed, as wierd as that sounds. The transcript of events seems to imply that Gibson didn't have a night action and didn't know what was going on. Plus, what we were shown today corresponds with the description Ralphy provided about a tree stump lying next to him in bed, and we know Ralphy couldn't have blocked Portia. Yes, that's right my dear. I will do everything in my power to make sure these cowardly cultist's don't win. I will make sure of- Wait, is this place called Winter Haven? Shit. When I'm re-elected and villagers aren't dying left and right, I promise to remember the name of the town I'm governing. Did you know that lions spend much of their time resting and are inactive for about 20 hours per day? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
  9. Roar. So now it's been confirmed that the axe killer is not a vigilante. If they haven't done so already, I think our blocker should have a good look at the person they blocked on night two. We can't be 100% sure that the reason the axe killer didn't strike on night two was because he was blocked, but I would suggest that the blocker look back and check if their target has said or done anything odd over these last three days. This is a truly dark day for Spring Haven, I don't know how these cultists can sleep at night. ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
  10. Sorry about that, I must've dosed off. Where was I? Vote: Ralphy Rabbit (badboytje88) And don't you forget it! ROAR!
  11. I dunno, I've got a gut feeling that Maurice is scum trying to distract us from voting out Ralphy, who I feel we've got a pretty good case against. She has been called out for some odd comments in days 1 and 2, so I feel like now would be an ideal time to try to appear pro-town by taking charge and accusing someone (while also directing attention away from a potential scum partner). Shawna has done something similar against Pennie, though it seems she's put a lot more thought into her accusation and she's got a better case. The only thing that strikes me as odd is how she's brought Baxter into the argument, assuming that he was chasing the right people simply because we now know he's a confirmed townie. Maybe I've misinterpreted her comments, but she seems to be implying that Baxter was killed by the cult because he questioned Pennie on day 1. Yet it seems quite clear from the pictures that the person who killed Baxter was the same person who killed a cultist the day before. Of course, a lot of these thoughts are hinging on the assumption that Ralphy is scum, so before I press on with them, I feel it's important to confirm Ralphy's allegiance. So without further ado, I will Vote: Ralphy RzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz...
  12. I'm just wondering, what would we have actually learned from Carly's death? Everyone was in support of her lynching yesterday, so it's not like we would've learned much about each other from her allegiance. Most of us seem to agree she must've been scum, which seems likely given her reaction to the votes against her, or lack thereof . Working under the assumption that she was scum, I'm thinking the cultists must've been late to vote for Carly. Unless of course the scum were required to use the janitor action on night 2, as was the case in the original game... of our life. In which case, their choice to steal Carly's body has very little meaning behind it. ROOAAR! Now that I'm thinking about it, wouldn't Carly have put some more effort into defending herself at the end of the day if she knew her scum buddies were going to janitor her away? You know, to keep her allegiance more ambiguous to us? Because as things have turned out, she has come off pretty strongly as scum. I feel like I'm going around in circles now. Thoughts? Personally, I haven't seen anything wrong with Horace's behaviour. I'm not sure why being the last to vote for a townie would be a cultist sign - surely a cultist would try to avoid getting their name attached to a townie-lynch if their vote isn't going to effect the decision? I notice that in the day 2 link you provided, he does in fact remind us of Petey's list - although he doesn't go any further with it than that. Horace's mention of no cultist night-kill is an interesting catch though, and worth looking into. Before I go, I'd like to raise my most important point. I believe that- ZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz...
  13. Janitors. I hate these guys. ROAR! So it looks the trap killer is a neutral, given that Baxter (or Wallace, for that matter) didn't really come across as suspicious enough to justify a Maybe vig-kill. Plus, only anarchists whistle the 1812 Overture. Maybe one of us should hum some Tchaikovsky and lynch however joins in. Zzzzzzzz...
  14. Ok, I'm all caught up with things now. Usually I'd be more suspicious towards Gordon and in particular Pennie for jumping on Petey for such a trivial comment, but since they're both fairly well-established as the village dicks, I'm willing to cut them some slack. *Lazlo for Mayor: because he's not a dick* I dunno, I know it's easy for me to say now, but reading yesterday's thread of life, Petey came across as a townie to me. He didn't seem to be as defensive as everyone was making him out to be, and only became so after his accusers were jumping down his throat. Personally, I didn't see any problem with the way Carly defended Petey. Having said that, Carly's comments about Wallace yesterday do raise alarm bells for me. ROOOOAAAAARRRR!!!! Her first comment about Wallace strikes me as an attempt to distance herself from another scum partner early on in the game. But at the same time, she makes sure to pull back at the last minute in order to stop the suspicion she directed at Wallace from escalating further. And then there's Carly's attempt to nip a potential Wallace-lynching it in the bud after Portia's initial vote, but that's been discussed to death already. I'm about to fall asleep. Before I do, I'd like to Vote: Carly Cow (Tamamono)
  15. ROOOOOAAAARRR!!! Piss off, monkey! I like stinky lions.
  16. ROOOOAAARRRR! It's good to be back. Hello Brigit! How many times do I have to tell you guys? Just because the mayor's away for a day, doesn't mean that murder is ok. At least someone managed to kill a cultist. I'm not sure who killed who or how, but I'm going to assume that since the frog Bristol was looking at remained green, the cultists didn't convert anyone last night. Which means that their killer must have either killed Bristol, or failed to kill last night. It looks like you've all been quite busy while I've been away, I'll have to catch up on my mayoral archives for more information. Rooaar!
  17. Good morning everybody! ROOOAARR!!! I'm Lazlo Lion, your humble mayor. When I was elected, I promised to never let what happened in Spring Haven happen to us again. Now I hear that evil has returned, and threatens the peace and stability we have established. If we wish to preserve our beloved town, we must take a stand against the cultists that seek to poison it. We shall fight them in the woods, we shall fight them on the lawns, we shall fight them amongst the applesauce. We shall- ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzzzz..... I need a nap, I'll see you all in a couple of days. Hang in there until then!
  18. Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great one.
  19. Here's a thing that's happening (but not as soon as the title would suggest):
  20. 12) 2 votes 13) 2 votes 15) 1 vote 19) 1 vote 38) 1 vote
  21. Oh you'll be scum, don't you worry about that.
  22. Now that Yakuza Family has concluded, I thought this might be a good time to officially announce my upcoming game. Without further ado, I'm proud to present... Dragons Mafia!
  23. There are some nice Toy Fair pics here, including a few interior shots of Helm's Deep's outer wall and the Hornburg.
  24. Oh look! A pebble! [From Rufus, for being distracted by pebbles throughout The Curse of IMHOTEP.]
  25. Helms Deep looks great. The dwarf-tossing catapult looks like a bit of fun, as does the exploding Deeping Wall. The interior looks surprisingly good, although the fact that it's a kind of fusion between Helms Deep and the Edoras throne room makes me doubtful we'll see a Golden Hall set any time soon. I love the Rohan helmet, the mold is just generic enough to suit Theoden, Eomer and the Royal Guard, yet the printing makes it look unique for each character. IIRC, the preliminary set had 5 Uruks, but it looks like it's been cut down to 4 now. I'm a little disappointed with how the Berserker turned out. I suppose it's understandable they wouldn't make a new helmet mold for such a minor character (and the printed head doesn't look too bad anyway), but they could've at least given him the same skin colour as the rest of the Uruks. He looks a little out of place standing next to the regular dark red Uruks. A bit of a shame the Uruks use the old halberds instead of new pikes, but I understand TLC can't make new molds for everything. Moria is fantastic too. This may be one of the few sets I'll use the stickers for. Poor Balin, it looks like there's a play feature that springs him out of his tomb. I'm loving the cave troll. My one gripe is that the Goblins use Uruk shields, but I suppose I'll just give them to the shieldless Uruk-Hai in the other sets. All in all, great stuff!
