Pricing the minifigures of 10236 Ewok village
ISDAvenger replied to absolutelylez's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Whoa, I read about that, but never saw the pictures. I remember I wanted that Ewok set bad when I was growing up, along with the MF. I had a very strict upbringing, and was not allowed to have such toys. Thanks for sharing the comparison, I found it very interesting! -
Indeed! For those of us that cannot make it, can you please take pictures and post them?

If you do not have the blue ray, there is Lorne Petersons book "Sculpting the Universe". Not sure how good the pictures are, but I know the ship has a few page spread. Not to insult anyones intelligence, but I have found, if you find the actual height, width, and length of a Star Wars ship, you can convert those dimensions from an actual scale to a Lego scale of your choice. Or I have used pictures of a flush frontal, side, rear, top, and bottom of the ship and use those to base my scale off of. Although it can be a challange in getting such pictures, as I have discovered. Sometimes SWAG has to be implemented.

Well done! Using the door as the wings was an ingenious idea. I really like the TIE Advanced, I never would have thought using shields as wings.

Do you have the drop on any exclusives yet? Last year it was the Boba Fett tin. Does anyone know if Lego is doing something similar this year?
-
I have a few of them, and they are by far one of my favorite mini-figures and a must have for collectors.
-
I would like to see a Darth Angral or a Darth Adraas mini-figure. Not sure what sets you could complement them with, but TOR universe is quite extensive. Maybe a Harrower Class Dreadnaught, or even the Jedi Temple when the Adrass, Angral, and Malgus invade Coruscant and destroy it.

He actually found me. He shot me a PM on FBTB asking if I was still in the market for a Cloud City set. Apparently I had posted on thread on the forum looking for one, which I do not remember doing. Anyway, I had already bought one the beginning of this year, but I figured I could haggle with him and see what I could get. Come to find out he was selling a bunch of Star Wars sets from 99-04, so I picked a few out that I wanted and offered him a price, which he accepted. He was awesome to deal with, super fast shipping too. I do not need two Cloud City's, so I am planning on selling the first one I got. Yeah, I was pretty happy, I have been wanting the first AT-AT, so now I have all three models. A lot of collectors say the first one is the best one, although I do love my motorized AT-AT.

Does watching a Star Wars film inspire you to buy Lego?
ISDAvenger replied to RednWhite's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sometimes it does. ROTJ makes me look forward to the Ewok Village that comes out in September. I really wanted that playset from Kenner when I was a kid. I did not have any Star Wars toys growing up as a kid, due to my upbringin, so I really missed out. It is kind off a sad story. Anyway, it does inspire me to either build a MOC or purchase a set....even though it may not be right away. -
Heck no, no more V Wings, X Wings, or Y Wings. Its time for some new, original models, like a Mon Cal Cruiser, or a Nebulon B, or perhaps a rehash of the Imperial SD.

18-21 July. I cannot wait to see the set either, hope it is as good as the Ewok Village.

Recently picked up the following Star Wars sets from a Canadian seller. All are in awesome condition, 100% complete with mini-figures, including the boxes and instructions, save for the Imperial Dropship which did not have a box. 7667 Imperial Dropship 7201 Final Duel II 7127 Imperial AT-ST x2 4483 AT-AT (Black Box) 10123 Cloud City 7113 Tusken Raider Encounter I was able to get all the sets for $470.00 shipped. I think I made out rather well, although the wife may think otherwise...for now.

Do you have a Legoland Park bucket list?
ISDAvenger replied to Legogal's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My bucket list does not consist of the LEGOLAND's, but more of the Lego Stores..at least in the US. I have been to LEGOLAND in CA, but that is it, although I have been to the Lego Store next to the LEGOLAND in Florida. At the time I was there for Star Wars Celebration, and did not have time to check it out. I would like to go the LEGOLAND in England, Germany, and Denmark. When my oldest graduates high school, we are thinking about taking him on a trip abroad, so that may work out to visit one or two of the LEGOLANDS in Europe. Malaysia though, Ill pass. I have been to quite a few of the Lego Stores though, ranging from Hawaii to NYC. I envy those who have been to most if not all of them. -
[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
ISDAvenger replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Then that is the icing on the cake. Again, superb job in design and execution. I love it! -
[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
ISDAvenger replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Now that is epic! Well done sir! I like how you incorporated color into the MOC to break up the monotony of all the grey. How strong is the center spine? Man, that is just one awesome MOC. I have been waiting for someone to do a Frigate of this scale. Superb work! -
People destroying LEGO displays :(
ISDAvenger replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
What the heck. Man, what a shame. I would have had a heart attack if someone did that to my ISD. -
Sounds awesome. Look forward to the new features!

[MOC] Nu-class attack shuttle (B&W Color scheme)
ISDAvenger replied to exxtrooper's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nicely done, I like the different color approach. I do agree the back does need some work in covering up the gears. -
I would prefer seeing Lego release a Nebulon B Frigate, before another Imperial Shuttle.

"The Dark Ages" - How long were you away from Lego?
ISDAvenger replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Mine was from 1994 to 2008, so 14 years. Due to space and cost I only collect O/T Star Wars and a few TOR sets. That does not include the MOC's I build, which are Star Wars related. It is a great hobby, expensive at times, but great. My wife is very supportative aside from the eye rolling haha. -
[LDD MOC] "Redemption" Nebulon-B escort frigate
ISDAvenger replied to L-DI-EGO's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A very nice rendition. I really like how you incorporated mini-figure details into the model. I wish TLG would make a model similar to yours. Great job! -
That is amazing work. The details are awesome. It is my favorite part in the whole movie.

Class II Imperial Star Destroyer "Avenger"
ISDAvenger replied to ISDAvenger's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No kidding, small world. You are correct, the only tanks here are NG. Fort Campbell is still a Light Infantry (Air Assault) Division. I was DA selected to be a Division Inspector General (IG) and it so happened they assigned me to Fort Campbell for three years. I really like the area, great place, and a lot to do. Its green, compared my previous assignments, Hood and Irwin There are actually quite a few 19K slots at Campbell now. Due to todays Army unit structure and MTOE it is not uncommon seeing 19 series assigned to a Light Division. Coming from you, I consider that a great compliment so thanks! Well done on the Eclipse. It is truly a work of art! -
I can deal with that since I will be able to buy the Sail Barge when I am home on R&R.
