  1. I would like to see whats in store for the coming year. The Ewok Village very well could be the last set of the year, unless they plan on releasing a fall line. Perhaps SDCC, or BW will unveil that information when the time comes. This was the year for ROTJ, since it is the 30 year anniversay of its release. With the Episode VII and the new TV show Rebels on the horizon it will be interesting to see what is in store for the future of Lego Star Wars sets, although we could see a decrease of O/T sets, due to the release of both. Time will tell.
  2. Blasphemy!!!! Just kidding. ROTJ used to be my favorite one out of the OT, but now since I prefer the Empire, my favorite has changed to ESB. I bought one of the POTC sets to do just that, but still have yet to do it. The Ewok Village will change that now.
  3. Indeed, waiting so I can order my Sail Barge. Hopefully it will be sometime this week. Still waiting on the notification though.
  4. Fanatic or not, you're missing out. I recommend you watch Episode V Empire Strikes Back, and VI Return of the Jedi. They are quite epic. The bonfire rack, does look similar to the POTC set.
  5. Blame it on your source lol. Could be. If I am not mistaken the winter line was released in January timeframe of this year. Unless they plan on complementing the fall release of the Ewok Village with other sets.
  6. The write up said September, but no exact date. My question would be is the September release date apply to US or EU? Hopefully its the US. Overall I am quite impressed. I plan on picking up at least a couple of them. I like the new rendition of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Overall a very cool set with interesting features. Wish they would ugrade Chewies face though, poor Wookie could use some eye balls.
  7. My question is how you became acquainted with said source, must be nice to get first hand information. Very interesting......as Obi Wan once said.
  8. A bit of history behind Darth Vader. Each Darth Vader in ANH, ESB, ROJ, ROTS is unique and different. There are changes in his helmet ie shape, paint scheme and other details. Chest Armor is different in paint and shape. The Chest Box has different color lights, switches, markings, and other small details. The same goes for the Belt, Belt Boxes, the Belt Buckle, the Shin Guards, the Boots, the Cape, the Inner Robe, the Gloves, the Body Suit and the Lightsaber. If I was to make a distinction of what movie each Lego Darth Vader came from, the older version with the red and blue chest lights would either be ESB or ROTJ. The new Lego Darth Vader would most likely be a ROTS Vader, but could pass for ANH. This determination is made by looking at his green and red chest box lights, and his armor. ROTS helmet is also more symmetrical than the ANH one, but of course that cannot be ascertained by looking at the Lego helmet. The paint scheme and shape on the chest armor has a distinct difference between ROTS and ANH. Additionally the Inner Robe goes over the Chest Armor in AHN and under the Chest Armor in ROTS. I suppose it would be hard for Lego to develop a Darth Vader with these distinctions, but I would like to see them revamp him by either giving him an actual Chest Armor and maybe create a more accurate helmet. I think in the long run it would not be cost effective, so I don't know if it would ever get done. I think they did a fabulous job with Darth Malgus. I guess time will tell.
  9. Yea, I don't know man. It does sound rather odd. Here is the link to the post. http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=731446
  10. Rumor has it the Ewok Village will be revealed tomorrow. Not sure how much truth is behind it, but I thought I would share. Bricklink poster quoted the following: "Oh, dear! Just got the press-kit for the LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village coming out in September. It will be revealed tomorrow at an event in the Czech Republic and I’m not supposed to say anything until then but OMG, it looks great! (*fainting smiley goes here*) Expect pictures and the full press kit, including designer video on all LEGO fantasies tomorrow (June 1st). We are allowed to share after 5 AM EST."
  11. Don't forget 4 stormies came with the #7659 Imperial Landing craft. You can typically find those for a decent price.
  12. My B-Wing, Han Solo mini-figure, poster arrived today. It made it in fine shape and fast, considering the 7,300 miles it had to travel to get here. The box is a little creased, but I think it was shipping that way. Looking forward into building it, over three months is a long time to go without building a set.
  13. I agree, I hope there are more OT sets in the future.
  14. So based on the Germany release, the US release timeframe is looking like July or August?
  15. It is a awesome, must have model for sure. It is a very worth while build with a lot of fun features. I thoroughly enjoyed building mine. Enjoy building it!
  16. I am working on my next project, but only information I am disclosing at this time it is a ship. Unfortunetly due to my current job location the project is on hold for the next 10 months. To caveat off some of the other comments, having builders such as Rook, AC Pin, Cavegod, Anio, and etc create such awesome renditions of the Star Wars Universe does not need to limit from building the same creation. Perhaps a builder could find a way to build it in a bigger or even better fashion. Me personally, I prefer to look at their work as an inspiration, versus a hinderance. Creating and building a MOC involves passion, build what you are passionate about, who cares if it has been done before.
  17. Man, I am so sorry I missed those sales.
  18. Its back up on Lego Shop at Home with the ship date of 16 May. Here are your second chances people, get it while it is still available.
  19. Very nice pictures. It will be light summer line for me, Sail Barge will be my only purchase. Looking forward to the rumored Ewok Village...plan on saving my money from the summer line and purchase two when the set gets released.
  20. Indeed! Not a big fan overall, but too good a deal to pass up.
  21. I was able to order a B-Wing before it sold out. For those seeking options you obviously have the Lego Store or TRU (US) since they have price matched the TLG.
  22. I have three....one built and the other two still MIB. I think it is a worthy buy. I think the 10178 is a lot better.....I had a huge grin watching it walk for the first time.
  23. Great Caesar's Ghost!!!! That is just absolutely amazing!! Superb job, look forward to the completion and better pictures. I bet it weights a ton.
  24. That is awesome, look forward to the completed project!
  25. 6. Empire - Expecting High Visit on Training Ground - 2 points 7. Pedro - Escape from Nar Shaddaa - 3 points
