  1. Looking at the video that cropped up on Instagram, all the sets look really cool. Overall I really like the spooky vibe this theme seems to be going with, very similar to Gravity Falls and Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. type shows, especially the graveyard. Seems like this'll be the first wave of sets I buy in its entirety since the Sky Pirates from Ninjago.
  2. I mean I've got the parts except for the apparatus, and I'm considering buying a set containing the apparatus to test how everything looks together. The helmet comes in dark green with Flintlocke from Ninjago, so it's actually relatively common still.
  3. I've got all the parts except for the breathing apparatus thing (even have the helmet in dark green). I'd pick up one of the Sky Police sets to test... for science, but honestly they've all got terrible value imho and even if they didn't, none of the sets do anything for me.
  4. You could probably get away with Mr. E's head Ninjago or a Foot Soldier's Head with a Trans-Green visor. It won't be perfect but at least you'll get the glowing green eyes effect. Edit: Nevermind, I just realized that pilot piece uses a different visor.
  5. Is that a bad thing? As long as the spooky locales and bad guy designs are good, the tone shouldn't really matter should it? Besides I think the Scooby-Doo-esque tone for spooky themes is a pretty good way to go in all honesty. It keeps things light and kid-friendly while still letting TLG deliver on the stuff that we all want.
  6. Honestly I kinda like Lego doing more unisex torsos when possible, it makes customs a lot easier.
  7. So I take it we can assume that the $100 one has at least one bigfig in it? Also I'm not seeing these or the heads on instagram, am I looking in the wrong place?
  8. Seems about right. Honestly I'd be pretty ok with that since it would still allow for spooky locations and monsters, which I'm all about.
  9. I mean, my understanding is that City is still quite popular, so I can see media tie-ins doing pretty well.
  10. Maybe something along the lines of urban legends? Kinda searching through spooky locales for things like Bigfoot, ghosts, etc.? I'm interested either way, we need more in-house themes.
  11. That background seems promising. Actually so does the look of the girl on the left, notice how her phone has some kind of glowing figure on it? Also that pink hair piece with the beanie is adorable.
  12. I hope so, the plain legs just look so off with the way the torsos are printed.
  13. So Jang managed to get his hands on the Oni Battle Pack, I wasn't even aware that one was coming out this early. Overall I really like the look of the Oni so far. Not a huge fan of no prints on the legs but man those heads and torsos are going to be super useful.
  14. Very nice use of parts! I really like the color scheme.
  15. Wow these are pretty sweet! Do they have space inside for minifigures?
  16. Oh it absolutely does. Like I can only imagine how confused people who don't browse EB or have the magazines are going to be. It's a real shame too since all of the year 3 sets (except Aaron's X-Bow) are pretty fantastic imho, and a lot of the ideas that Tommy Andreasen posted are pretty sweet.
  17. Yes, but the actual torso and legs print are more inline with the robes from the year 2 battle suits rather than the actual armored prints from the other year 3 knights, so it's still not really ideal.
  18. Honestly I'm still disappointed that the only version of year 3 Clay we got was a battle suit variant. It'd be nice to have a properly armored version like the rest of the Knights. Then again I've found that the ultimate version of his torso and legs with a swapped orange arm and golden hips and hands from year 3 Aaron manages to make a pretty close approximation.
  19. Huh, you're right. Not sure why I thought year 2 had another version besides the mech.
  20. I thought the year 1 and 2 panels were different?
  21. There's only ever been the one head for all of the knights except for clay, who got 3 iirc.
  22. @TeriXeri Thanks for the heads up, guess I'm filling out my Stone Army some more now. I also picked up a Knights pack, even though I'll probably just be using the guards for spare parts.
  23. It would certainly be nice but at this point I think the most we'll get is more story outlines over twitter. Who knows though, Ninjago concluded after an initial 3 years, and was then brought back after massive fan outcry. The circumstances were a bit different but there's always the small possibility of an NK revival if there's enough people asking for it.
  24. Ah, gotcha. I guess I'll stick with Virus Vampires then, since that seems to fit the tech infection theme pretty well. On a side note, my local mastermind had Aaron's X-Bow on clearance today, so I finally picked it up. I can't say I care for the build itself but there's a ton of useful parts in there that I ended up putting towards finishing up a moc I've been working on. Thankfully I already had an Aaron minifig, so the hands, hips and armor from the extra has gone towards making a non-battlesuit version of Year 3 Clay.
  25. Did I miss something? Where were they given official names? I agree, they were definitely not piratey whatsoever. If anything they felt more 90s era space-esque to me.
