So far I've gotta say I'm loving the figure designs for this wave. The villains all look fantastic, and the ninja are all going to be awesome for customs. Nya's torso especially just screams "Skyrim" and Cole's armor and bandanna will make fantastic pieces for Nexo Knights customs. Then again they all will, but the gold will work best for year 3 stuff, which is the state all of mine are in. Here's hoping we get that armor piece in pearl dark gray as well so we can do custom villains too. Edit: And that's not even mentioning the potential for Warhammer or Warcraft customs. Those armor pieces are going to be so useful!

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
shadefoundry replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yikes, $80 is way too much for that set, even though I do really want a comic Iron Spider (missed out on the last one). I'll probably wait till it goes on sale, but then again I still have yet to get my hands on the Spidey figures I want from the late 2019 wave, and there's always that Hidden Side lighthouse that keeps enticing me... -

We also haven't gotten white suite 2099 and a bunch of the more modern suit variants. Mainly Big Time and Ends of the Earth Spider Armor. It looks like they're focusing specifically on stuff tying into Spider-Verse, so if I had to guess I'd say we'll see SP//DR as the next Spider-Man set vehicle. -
DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

So I found the DC Minifigs at my local Mastermind, right in time for me to use my buy 1 get 1 half off cupons, so I picked up the figures that I really wanted, those being Bumblebee, Stargirl, Metamorpho, Aquaman, Huntress and the Flash for $25 CAD after tax which imho is pretty reasonable. I really like the design choices for those figures, since a lot of them are based on the versions of these characters that I grew up with. Of the figures I'm still missing, I'm still a bit iffy. I think I'll pick up Batman and Mister Miracle eventually, and will consider Green Lantern just for the parts, but otherwise I'm probably passing on the rest. Most of them don't really do much for me, and even though Cyborg is a character that I really like, I can't stand his original design. If anything I might wait till they go on sale for buy 2 get 1 free and pick up the rest of the series then. -

I mean Mysterio's mech could always be an illusion right? He is really good at those. Also is it bad that I'd be completely down to get an Aunt May mech? I feel like that'd be hilariously awesome. -
Looking at the new sets, I'm not sure I'll be picking up any of the smaller ones, the cyber aesthetic just isn't doing it for me. I do really like the Temple of Madness though, which is giving off a ton of Nexo Knights vibes in all the right ways.

I'm a huge fan of the Portal and the Lighthouse sets! Not sure I'm going to bother with the rest of the wave but I'll definitely be picking up those two. The Lighthouse will look great on display with the Shrimp Boat and the Shrimp Shack and will also make a great piece for a lovecraftian display. -
So it looks like one of the orange ghosts leaked on Instagram. Looks like its still a possessed figure, but he's a lot more ghostly looking than the ghosts in the current wave. So far I'm a fan.

That's actually a really funny idea! I might look into that.

Its funny, I just picked up the Fire Fang as well. I really like the way it looks but I'm not entirely a fan of the fact that it's kind of lacking in articulation. Have there been any modifications done to add more to the body? I'd love to be able to make it more poseable.

Wow Spidey Noir is fantastic! Hopefully the build he comes with is worth at least considering. I quite like the Hawkeye minifig as well. He's kind of basic but he seems like a pretty spot on representation of the current comics suit, and I guess Avengers Assemble as well. I'm definitely interested now in seeing what the actual sets look like this wave. -
Removing a broken arm from a torso?
shadefoundry replied to adhdlama's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This happened to me a while back with my Bard minifigure from one of the hobbit sets. I took a small pair of pliers to it and managed to fudge the piece out, but ended up with a few scratches on that part of the torso. If you go with this method you're going to need to be very careful, and I would recommend a really small pair of pliers like you would use to repair a really small electronic. -

Seems pretty reasonable to be skeptical tbh. Like I said its pulled from 4chan which is littered with trolls and such. It's certainly an interesting list regardless, imho. -

If this list turns out to be real, I'm going to be the most excited for the Lighthouse, Jack's House and *maybe* the garden if it looks nice. I love spooky locations and these ones sound like they've got a ton of potential. -

So this morning I was browsing a 4chan archive, and noticed that someone had posted some set names. Take this with a grain of salt since 4chan is 4chan, but apparently the sets are: Again, take it with a grain of salt, these could be entirely wrong, but they seem to line up with what others have been talking about in this thread so far so I figured I'd post it. -
Same deal as with the Nexo Knights one with a figure in each issue?
-
So I'm probably a bit late with this but why is everyone saying that the light blue head that was leaked is Jay? To me it just screams Lloyd since it's got the exact same facial expression that he's had for the last like 2 years now. Also there's no freckles, Jay has freckles now right?

So I'm genuinely interested in what the Venom set's going to look like. I can still find copies of that big Venom set from last year on shelves, so maybe this is a smaller set? Maybe we're finally getting a version of Flash Thompson's Venom? That'd be nice. Obviously we don't really have a lot of info at this point, and this is just speculation but it's something to think about. -
Oh that's so perfect too! I've got so many of those book pieces lying around as well. I'll post pics when I'm finished with my changes.

Very nice mod and scene! I've been playing around with modding the shipwreck rocks to have a bit of a more lovecraftian feel to them for a bit now, so it's nice to see others do similar things.

Am I the only one that's really just hoping for Young Justice figures? There's so many of them that just can't be made custom because of character-specific bits. The majority of the team just isn't doable in purist form right now and from what I can tell YJ is one of the most popular DC television properties right now. -

Yeah, honestly I doubt that we'll be getting full sets for the Marvel shows. I think the most we'll get is maybe figures that are close to their show counterparts thrown into Spider-Man sets. -

That'd be pretty sweet tbh. My understanding is that the mech rhino is about 8 feet in the comics, which is roughly the same size as the hulk or hulkbuster. With that logic It'd be great to see a rhino mech that's in scale but manages to look good. The original's sizing was right, it just looked pitiful. -

Unless they decide to go with a version that doesn't have the mask. Electro's had scars in the shape of his classic mask instead of the regular mask for almost a decade now, and the Ultimate version is basically just living electricity in the shape of a person. It wouldn't surprise me if they went with that to save on moulds. Morbius can also kind of fly iirc, and don't some versions of Screwball fly around on a hoverboard? Either way I'm hoping for Electro since we've never gotten a traditional version of him, and honestly he's more iconic than Beetle imo. We've already gotten a near perfect Hobgoblin too, so unless they do a different version of him (maybe Phil Urich?) I doubt we're going to see another one any time soon. Edit: Jack-o-Lantern and Demogoblin can also fly, although I don't think I've ever heard someone say "man Demogoblin is my favourite Spider-Man villain" lol. -
Ah, my bad. I misred your post. For torsos I think that Edna's torso comes the closest to what you want, though it probably isn't ideal. You could use one of those utility belt pieces to get around the belt not being printed on.
