  1. First saw the new mold with different plastic in 2015, but it seems the new teeth style appeared earlier. I think they changed the teeth to reduce backlash.
  2. Was about to use these tires for a similar project, this looks amazing!
  3. I hope this piece is included elsewhere in the set, hasn’t appeared in a very long time!
  4. Hah, I think I just saw that sold listing earlier, congrats!
  5. Had my BWE assembled until recently and all gears were fine.
  6. I would LOVE to have this, but probably won’t be able to pay the price (probably very high).
  7. I have used a CRC plastic-safe lubricant on my LEGO monorail switches for two years, I haven’t had a problem with it. The only downside is it’s VERY greasy and liquid so it gets everywhere. I will check the name later today.
  8. It’s the blue spaghetti monster Jokes aside, this performs very well! I like the use of the new 42099 hubs.
  9. @whitswjDidn’t know you were on here! @ConchasI would like to see pictures as well!
  10. Personally I would recommend 42096 Porsche 911 RSR, it may not be the most advanced set but IMO it’s a great parts pack. Comes with wheels, suspension, and some rarer elements.
  11. This model is very cleverly designed! You found an elegant way to implement steering and suspension! I hope you can post instructions/tear downs of the chassis someday.
  12. I’ve never wanted a single piece more than this! A rare part in a Q color is awesome!
  13. @Jeroen OttensOh okay, don’t have the parts to compare so I thought the render wasn’t a mistake.
  14. Comparing the two photos, seems like the newer mold does not have any friction ridges on the pin side. Maybe they just made the pin slightly larger in diameter? A rarity, keep it!
  15. Looks like this might be the “dumb” battery box. Levers probably control motor direction and maybe speed. Only has two slots for motors.
  16. Oh my gosh, I have been waiting for this forever!
  17. Thin tweezers can fit around an axle in a pinhole. I used this trick to take apart several “impossible” assemblies.
  18. @JunkstyleGio I searched online and it should be possible to convert stud.io to Ldraw.
  19. Now that I look closer, there are SO many recolors! Teal (Dark Turquoise) is probably my favorite TLG color and it’s amazing to see it return to Technic! Also the SPIKE baseplate returns again in this set.
  20. The new mindstorms is dark turquoise!! I’m gonna have a lot of fun when it hits Bricks and Pieces.
  21. Maybe replace that L-shaped beam with two 3x5 thin triangle lift arm, and then securing the extended part the the bottom of the frame?
  22. Yess, it’s gonna be updated!! I have been waiting for a long time!
  23. @Jasonv24 looks like this part: https://rebrickable.com/parts/89159/headwear-accessory-visor-large-with-trapezoid-top/#part_usage attached to this helmet: https://rebrickable.com/parts/93560/minifig-sports-helmet-plain/#part_usage Not sure what this has to do with Technic.
  24. Strange, it seems like the overheating issue that happens with PF battery boxes, but you mentioned you tested with the RC hub... Have you tried different cables? Are you comfortable taking it apart to look for faults or resistance?
  25. New Mindstorms set?!? Are they releasing the SPIKE system in a regular consumer form?
