  1. I will take some pictures soon, I'm almost done with adding an interior to the Green Grocer so I will set up my studio soon. Basicly it is the input for the Invisible Lift but I have mirrored and changed it putting the motor on the other side (under the inbox) to keep the switch as flat against the platform as possible. I was thinking about making it remote controlled with PF functions but that is something for after Lego World.
  2. Agree, how does the automized part know when I have to go to the toilet? :)
  3. Only what is available on Flickr but I can make more if I know what has your interest.
  4. Thanks! Good idea, I have a second vehicle to put to work but that one is much faster and probably too hard to handle for the kids at LEGO world. So I made the mouse. Also, I have to keep this running for a week during LEGO World and need 3 Li batteries per mouse and the batteries are costly :)
  5. Thanks. Good idea to put an antenna on the IR remote, will do that too :)
  6. I don't know that one and Google doesn't know it either, only a gun comes up :) Would like to see it if anyone has a link.
  7. I've designed and build this LEGO Great Ball Contraption for Lego World 2017 in Utrecht in The Netherlands. Last year almost over 100.000 Lego fans visited Lego World. This GBC will be part of a circle of over 150 machines. The kids control the Ball Catcher Mouse with LEGO power functions and are thus responsible to keep all balls circulating as part of the 150+ machines. I hope that is exciting enough for them :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1ZZsKZlan4
  8. The train is finished and running wel (after some further improvements) and I also finished my latest own design. It was suggested to me to also post the link to my new Double Bucket Wheel GBC so here it is:
  9. Thank you all! Yes, exactly all the buckets and bucket wheels from 2 sets. The net is from Bricklink. I don't want to double post but if that's practice I can post a link to this topic. Gathered over one year through bricklink over many orders together with other bricks, not easy. Yes, in the parts that come close to each other, especially around and within the wheel (not scaffolding).
  10. Thanks. They fall into the buckets. I used the nets so the balls don't bounce and to keep the inside as 'empty' as possible.
  11. After buying two bucket wheel excavators for parts I had to do something with the Rings and Buckets. So I designed and build this GBC. It rests on 4 wheels and all 4 wheels are powered. This GBC has very tight tolerances almost everywhere.
  12. Yes I did but probably did not look well during the dry run, I see now in my own movie the gaps sync with loading, just now need to sync it with the wagon. Although I'm not sure what the gap does, the belt has capacity enough to fill te wagon till the top.
  13. @Courbet the 1x2 plate trick did the smooth loading. I have new PF switches, they probably need more force to switch so I had to do something. I did a dry run and the load trigger gap seemed 1,5 times faster than loading the balls in the wagon. I will look at it a again to synchronize but no balls fall outside the wagon when loading.
  14. Thank you Laurent and Yoann, I've also build the train version 2 I've made a few improvements because I could not get the switch to work and wagons got stuck, I list them here: I've made a better guidance of the rear part of the wagon switch, it was hanging loose and dissipating energy instead of directing it to the PF switch. The change is in the picture below, a 7 axle with 2 pieces 1x2 thin liftarms and behind that a construction to keep it in place. I also changed the battery box connection, much easier to remove to change batteries now. After the above change still 1 PF switch refused to work and the other occasionally did not work. I tried all the PF switches I had in house. I have opened the switches and filed away the little points that give the resistance when switching. The only resistance the switch now has is the inner sliding contact. After this change the PF switches work flawlessly in the wagons together with the above improvement. I also added a 1 x 2 plate to the entrance of the loader and unloader. The wagons do not get stuck on entering anymore and entering is much smoother now. The whole track is also 1 brick high except the rail switch, these are 1 plate lower so front wheels of the wagons have better traction when leaving the rail switch. I may take it with me to Lego World but then without the middle train switches, they do not work flawlessly. The loader and unloader with one wagon and not too long track has capacity enough to move the balls.
  15. Waiting for parts is never easy. MOC, newest Akiyuki train version (thanks to Courbet and Yoann) and a module designed by Maico:
  16. Thank you Laurent and Yoann! Definitely going to build this one and see if I can take it to Lego World in October in Utrecht.
  17. The plateau that connect to the Paternoster is almost done. I made a new GBC ball catcher as the tracked vehicle was a bit too fast and hard to steer for children. This one works better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11hTyUMoMrE
  18. Good to hear, I already stacked up train parts for it half a year ago :)
  19. @Courbet As always your work making the building instructions is very much appreciated. Yoann asked me for building instructions for my Paternoster but I cannot make it but I will send her more detailed pictures. Meanwhile I rebuild my Marble Run with ball shooters in the center after it got destroyed flying to Madrid and made several improvements including gates at the top for more consistent running.
  20. Good luck with that, be sure to read all improvements posted here and then make some more, it's an impressive piece of machinery but drop 1 ball in the wrong place and you can start over again with re-timing it. Not an ideal situation in a LEGO show.
  21. Nice Idea! I first wanted Wall-E to take the balls out of the gondola's but after a few attempts I have given up on that idea. Like your idea I was thinking of using Wall-E to take the balls in his belly, close the ramp as he is compressing the balls into waste and then spit them out again :) Ideas enough, making them come alive as a GBC is difficult. If all else fails I Iet Wall-E 'drive' the Paternoster as he was operating a Dutch street organ for Lego World. I also want to do something with the white 'helm' that 'steers' the spaceship in my next GBC. That shape is very suitable for GBC.
  22. Thanks! Yes stability and also I wanted to get some width in the gondolas as in the Wall-E movie. A GBC has to be able to handle 1 ball per second, with a smaller gondola with less balls speeds would also get high I think.
  23. Three Ikea shelves, all 12 exactly fit. For me LEGO has to stop now with the modulars They collect almost no dust being up higher in the room. Still have to replace the middle one, should be no problem for 10 Euro each.
  24. I've used the dark bluish gray tubing of Modulor.de in my new GBC, in the video it is visible they are more shiny but color looks okay although it's lighter than the LEGO LBG as mentioned above but in the movie mainly because of light and gloss.
  25. My next GBC, the Paternoster, in case you are interested.
