Yes although you can see them on the outside but you have to take the switch apart to cut them away and while you are at it cut away more until the switch goes with only the resistance of the electronic contacts inside. Put a screwdriver on the DBG notches on the side that face the inside of the train and thumb the screwdriver down on all three notches until it opens. Not a lot of force needed, just a good sudden nudge. On the side that faces the inside of the train so damages are not visible in case you scratch the switch. You can't get the train to work reliably without the mod.

LXF is not an instruction by design. Mostly LXF comes as 'one step' and the steps determine the guide to building. I once took an unfinished LXF and brought it to a finished build including building instructions in a PDF. Topic here with my building instructions quoted there, to add logo etc. I edited 150+ PNG images to create the resulting PDF: Whatever way, making the building steps in the original file and creating detailed building instructions to a PDF will be a lot of work. Haven't tried the stud.io building instructions maker yet but will soon try.

Frequency of output is probably longer as usual because he now makes instructions that need to be good enough to sell and that takes a lot of time!

Here it is. Not as elegant as yours but runs very smooth and can be placed anywhere in a GBC circuit. -

Almost done with my version. I used all 30 orange separators I have, only 1 green separator left :) I've added an inbox so it complies to GBC standard of 30 balls at once For smooth operation I'm using the new XXL sprockets from 42095 (part still not available on bricklink parts list) Attaching the separators with the relatively new 1 x 1 inverted bracket 36840 Hope to post a video soon, a seller is not shipping for 5 days now so cannot finish final touches. -
Did you check my movie of the dumper because I tried to show the pulley system in the movie. Also visible at the end of this movie. It seems I didn't make any pictures of it, I will do so next time when I have my studio up but may be take a while because I just had it up for vertical train loader. I made this pulley system for two reasons. I needed to clear my DBG frame otherwise the weights would touch it. And I wanted to run the wires straight up to the pulley system (so 100% perpendicular to the carrier) to have even forces on every corner of the carrier for a smooth as possible operation. And actually third reason was I could use the standard LEGO wires without cutting them.

I've designed and build that one, 9V system and/or Dunes has made a LDD File. Changes not in the video are I have made the whole shooting ramp enclosed in 4 hoses so the ball can't go anywhere. I also want to make the inbox a bit longer so it is easer to reach below the hoses. More pictures on Flickr from this photo onwards: The module has run for 7 days at LEGO World Utrecht without problems. At some point I would expect tire wear but the tire almost doesn't wear. It only picks up dust from the balls which is easily cleaned although dust on the tire is no problem. Here's the Eurobricks thread on it with reference to teh LDD file:

Only Luca (RoscoPC) knows :) Although I'm thinking about designing one myself, preferably the Alfa Romeo Alfetta 159 of Fangio. After building 13 models I might have a go at it myself :)

Thanks @ryantaggart! It was a long process in getting all parts in 100% LEGO but managed, here is my version. I made some choices because some parts are very hard to get or even unavailable. I also decided to make the crane DBG as I have the modular in my living room and the crane is big. For me the modular blends in better with the rest this way. My Vertical Train Loader as backup module to the pneumatic scissor lift: When all pins are filled it is a full train load of 45 balls. I intentionally made a big inbox for it as it is the first module in the narrow train layout and therefore can buffer a lot of balls if for some reason the trains stop (e.g. empty battery). The belt is synchronised with the train so no balls are going to the train when it laves. Pushing the 90 pieces of 2L hoses into the track holes was a challenge.

Cant you drive both the sliders with a gear on top? Ik know that will introduce a new problem, how to reverse the gear by the train when the lift is up to let the lift come down. But may be only use the train to go up and when the train leaves just let gravity do the job to get the lift down but with a dampening system or counter weight to smoothen the fall.

@Maoie86 I didn't make instructions but the mod is pretty straight forward like Doug says. In addition to that I made the module symmetrical and more rigid for my layout, depending on your layout you can do what you see fit. Welcome by the way, post some pictures/videos of your layout if you have a chance, we're always interested in seeing what people do with the train system.

Fast GBC Unit with Night Mode

Idea is nice although using roads, conveyor belts and tires as ball shooting mechanism in GBC is not new. It also doesn't seem ready for events, LOTS off balls get spilled. -

Indeed nice work Doug! Does a train with track fit between lower axle and upper bridge support? It seems the lower axle is now higher because of 24t at the end? Cycle time is almost 45 seconds I see in the video, that's long for a GBC circuit as theoretically it should load a maximum 45 balls at once with one ball per second. If people intend to use this in my compact track layout, I have a little 4 stud offset when loading the train which this mechanical scissor lift does not have. Coming weeks I'm going to work on a quick running vertical and train driven belt in Akiyuki style according to your idea as backup of the pneumatic scissor lift.

I assume to keep the train in place as it could jump of the lift if forces get too high. I did not have it on the worm gear lift by the way and worked fine (with counterweights). So same function as the 8t gears above the 24t gears but 8t gears are sometimes not enough to keep the train in place if forces get really high for some reason. Anyway forces on the worm gear lift are higher than on the Akiyuki lift, also with correct counterweights. For me one more reason to revert to the Akiyuki lift instead of worm gear. And the 8t gears above the 24t gears hooked the train sometimes causing jerky movements. With the Akiyuki lift these are not needed.
