  1. How did you make the terrain? Is it a heightfield? Is the starry background part of the scene, or did you just add it in GIMP?
  2. Thanks. Is there any documentation for all the different scene file commands? [edit] Here's my first test render. I circled some problem areas. The tops of the circled bricks are the wrong color. I don't know why. [edit] You can also see some miscolored details on the yellow door.
  3. I'm talking about LDraw2Sunflow (Pedrollane told us to ask you). When I click 'Render', a 3D window pops up where you position the camera. The .sc file then gets overwritten. i can't figure out how to re-use the existing .sc file.
  4. I want to manually configure the camera and light settings, and maybe other stuff if possible. But the program keeps overwriting the .sc file every time I try to render the scene.
  5. Okay, how do you edit the .sc files and then rerender the scenes with the updated settings?
  6. Stupid question, but how do we render *.SC files created by LDraw2Sunflow?

  8. I am trying to render a model. It appears properly in the preview window. But it won't render.   9. A tutorial would be good. Also, can sunflow do orthographic renders?
  10. How long do renders take generally in Sunflow? Longer than POV-Ray?
  11. Is Sunflow included with your converter? Are there special things I need to do to get the converter working with Sunflow?
  12. I've used PanoSalado in the past, though I think last time I checked development had stopped. Also, cube panoramas usually look better than spherical in my experience. You don't see all the artifacts near the poles. Here's an example: http://isometricland.net/lego/legopanotour.php

  17. Can stuff like this be extracted from Lego games? I mean the models and rigging have to be readable by some software, don't they?

  19. You could create a mesh in World Machine and then convert it to LDraw format using MeshLab and stl2dat. http://www.world-machine.com/
  20. Any plans on making a renderer for LDraw? I'm sick of waiting hours for POV-Ray to finish for worse looking results! Thanks.
  21. Actually, LDraw is in fact a piece of software. It is simply too antiquated to use, so everyone uses MLCad or LDCad etc.
  22. I still like MLCAD the most but it has a few bugs that unfortunately affect me especially. :(
  23. How does the converter handle the model hierarchy? For instance, a model that has multiple sub-models. Or an MPD file. Or in my case a model that has multiple sub-models that are themselves MPD files. [edit] Okay, I just tested ldraw2lws and it does not seem to support MPD files. :( [edit] LDR Importer doesn't support MPD files either. Are there any Blender importers that do?
