Ok lego have upped their game here. good job. Probably because they knew what we wanted as well as what CADA were doing. 🙂 Gearbox is awsome New parts prints and recolors is awesome I'm getting both F1 cars and the ducatti! ;DDDDDDDDDD -

I recon the F1 cars and the ducatti for 2025 will get recolored (probably black) #7 connectors -

The headrest is just a 3x3 T beam and then 2 comma panels (89679) I now see the 2x5 new panels, totally pointless IMO because we have 89679 as well as the 3L version of 89679 -

Looks good so far. Not sure where these new 2x5 panels are. Tires are same size but at least printed, probably still no gearbox and paddle shifter but we will see about the 42206 red bull FI set. The new parts are cool 🙂 -

PLEASE PLEASE @The Lego Group give this a 6 speed gearbox and I pinkie promise ill buy it Otherwise I would only build this out of parts that I already own (unless it has new functional elements maybe) Because I already have the yamaha and do I really need another 2 wheel hubs, front forks, disc brake large, wheels and tyres? I can't think of a reason. -

hmm ok, I could only add these mods to my modded chassis if I had a digital model (fairly easy) OR instructions (hard) -

Yeah, if companies made more 3rd party rims in any size we like we could make any scale vehicles in technic. but I can't find any companies that would do that, and I dont want to get into 3d printing. -

I added a micro V8 and moved the engine higher up in order to make space for motors. Ditched the engine cover and details. Also added a front diff, it has the drive ring to lock it but the rest of the locking mech isnt hooked up yet. Rear axle is fully independant with the same locking diff (so same as the front axle), it has 4 wheel steering and I tried using unimog tires which more or less fit fine under steering/suspenson compression. Both axles use planetary hubs and I have fake disc brakes made in lego system in a box somewhere, I'm still working on the removable body work but i've kinda burned out for a while and am working on other stuff now. I could only make the removable bodywork black as I didnt want to touch my original set in any way. I look forward to seeingb @NV Lego technic;s mods. -

One strange thing is that the old 14 tooth gear and 24 tooth crown gear can act as either a spur gear or a bevel gear yet either of them are a double bevel gear or spur gear. So, I wonder what a single bevel gear is called when it has fully open teeth (like the old 14 tooth single bevel gear)- 5,465 replies

2025 Technic Sets Discussion

Since there is an OK number of dark green parts, I would like a car in this color, maybe an aston martin/lotus/bentley/tvr/etc https://rebrickable.com/parts/?get_drill_downs=&tag=&min_year=1945&max_year=2025&min_part_cost=0&max_part_cost=20&q=technic&part_cat=&exists_in_color=288&show_unused=on&show_printed=on eg: bentley speed 8 is in dark green, DBRS9 is also in dark green. Lego would just have to introduce a few more parts for the set in dark green. probably beam 1x1, cross block 1x2 and a few others. -
here's one, the springs would conncect to the 9L axles that are near them, I just didnt want to fath on with finley rotating stuff in LDCAD because it is a major pain link I also have PDF's of other designs which I can PM if you wish I will have another in physical and digital form by the end of november

How will you get the new panels, they dont come in red only flame yellowish orange The F.Y.O 11x15 frame can just be black I suppose. Also a couple of system parts dont yet come in red like the 6x1 slope, and parts 5404, 5654, and 4569 also dont come in red yet though 61409 does and you'll have to stack them to as to hide the half plate lip on the front at the bottom (use brackets) I have a few well braced ride height adjustment implementations from some third party technic sets, its just a matter of adapting them to fit into this car I also want to add working disc brakes as the ferrari/P1 rims allow for this unlike the GT3-RS / Chiron / Sian rimw Yes i'm sure people will say "oh you wont be able to fit such features in" but the thing is most people don't actually build on the limits of whats technically possible with LEGO because it requires creative techniques, unusual parts usage, and skill/knowledge as well as generally being harder to do. Here are the parts that dont come in red: 4569 39790 4427 5426 4527 4443 4446 89679pr0001 2438 2442

Digital model here (mostly some one elses work but I corrected some stuff) File -
The problem with thin beans with axle holes is they crack, I'm not even rough on my lego parts, yet I've had many many thin beams crack on me, but you never know when until you pull it out of the parts bin weeks later and realize that the axle hole has no friction, because the hairline cracks are impossible to see.

Ok maybe these actuators are too long, and they would have to, by default, be extended a tiny bit, so would be even longer in order to pull the wishbones up... So I guess worm gear and spur gear + knob wheels. there will be 1:8 scale MOCs and non lego sets which have adjustable ride height that I can use as references. Another way might be to orient the actuators like the suspension on technic F1 cars, but keep the shock absorbers in the normal place but this would take up LOADS of space. Small linear acuators were out of the question since day -1 because they can be forced to retract by pushing the piston bit in with force, something which those big shock absorvers can definetley do. Another way, though the ways I've seen are not very reliable is to make a bi-rotational, but non back-driveable bevel gear set, but meshing a knob wheel with a 3 axle Y connector is not reliable enough.

Ok, here's what I had in mind but where the springs and actuators are connected to a rocker arm whose angle is adjusted by the actuator, which in tern, pulls or pushes on the spring but without compressing it, but it allows the spring to compress. I just hope that the spring doesn bypass the saftey clutch in the acuator and therefore push the acuator in I don't think it will because I just tried with my hands and theyre very stront, especically the V2 variant. I didn't have the new wishbones so I improvised. EDIT: I made the axle in LDCAD but lost my work since LDCADs session changer is very confusing as so which file is being closed or not, but I think I should just buythe wishbones anyhow, as its a pain to align the parts in LDCAD and you cant test the mechanism/stuctural stability in LDCAD obvioustly
