General question to fans of superheroes movies and comics.
VaderFan2187 replied to Lapidem's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Pfft... more anti-Imperial propaganda Actually, one thing I like about SW is some of the grey areas. The Empire established order and unification in the galaxy, the rebels wanted to destroy that. Rogue One helped blur the lines further by showing not all rebels are perfect, like Cassian's attempt to kill Galen. The power void left by the rebels in the end of Episode VI did nothing except put another empire in place - the First Order. And Imperials aren't dumb either. Stormies on Tantive IV efficiently crushed the rebels, and managed to "miss" Luke and co. on the DS, when they were given orders not to kill them. Plus Thrawn knows Kallus is fulcrum... And Vader is awesome!- 6 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
VaderFan2187 replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The glow means nothing now. Figures, be they old or new, have the glow in the 2017 sets. I still preferred the "NEW!" sign on minifigures XD -
Thanks! I was thinking about adding something on the other 4x6 plate that is currently empty. A lightsaber storage does seem like a good idea, maybe two clips for his stick as well? :)

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
VaderFan2187 replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No, Vader has his own face I think, they put on Anakin's head because it looks nicer on the box. You don't slot the helmet on to Vader's white head :D And as far as I am aware, no new prints for Vader. -
Doesn't work Gotta wait till 500 posts to unlock that ability… though I have no intention of changing my name.

Here is a TIE Bomber MOC I made a while back. It's too large, I know, but I made it a while back, and I wasn't as good at accuracy or stability back then. This was originally supposed to fill in the gaps in the LEGO Star Wars lineup, but the way the modules are joined, it's far too weak to be made in real life, let alone made into a "set". Anyway, here it is: It needs stands to stand up (no pun intended) Here is the cockpit. It's very similar to the TIE Striker's one. There's a bombardier compartment at the back behind the cockpit: Fold open the other side, and you see the rapid stud shooter. It is activated by turning the engine behind the module, which I forgot to take a screenshot of Here is the wing detailing: C&C Welcome! I may update this topic with a pic of the engines when I have time. VaderFan2187 out!

This is a set TLG has not made since 2002, and I feel it really needs to be remade. The false 2016 rumor, which turned out to be Yoda's CW Jedi Starfighter, was particularly disappointing. Here is my take on it. It could very well be a $25 set. You can remove the roof to see the interior. Plus the walls fold open! You can see Yoda's bed and his pot of food. Here's the view from the entrance :) C&C Welcome! Cheers! VaderFan2187

How does one get the "LDD Builder" tag? I build frequently in LDD and would love to know. Thanks in advance! VF-2187

One thing I like to do is make MOCs, but design them as if they were official sets. One example here is my Senate Duel MOC: However, it has no play features at all, apart from the ability to slide around (thanks to boat bottoms) and the ability for minifigs to sit down, both of which are very bland. The ability for minifigs to sit down could be advertised as a play feature, but I still need 1-2 more. Does anyone have any ideas? :) Thanks in advance, and no, clipping stud shooters on the side is not an option VaderFan2187

Haha, buildable figures are expensive. I love the new A-wing set. SO… naturally I thought about getting it. $90 seemed a bit too high, but I thought, "Hmm, it is fairly large, and the piece count is rather high." I was quite convinced until I remembered that in 2013, I could buy Duel on Geonosis, a much larger playset, for $90!! It's pretty sad how much LEGO prices have increased over the years. The A-wing should be $70 at most. End of story. Also, I love The Phantom II, and I love Grand Admiral Thrawn, so that seemed like a must get. $70… a little hard to stomach. I was convinced though, because the detail on the minifigs was pretty good, the ship was fairly chunky and… you know, "licensing fees". That was until I realized I could get Detroit Steel Strikes, another licensed set also from Disney, for $60! A small one-seater ship vs a rather large mech AND a car? It's not a competition. The Phantom II should be $50-55 at the most. End of story as well.

Lovely MOD @tibland2! The taller fins immediately caught my eye. I was just about to ask how you think it might be done! I think it will only be achievable in real bricks at a much larger, potentially UCS scale.

Many people have complained about the Duel on Naboo set, as it looked unfinished and some parts didn't look good. The plasma purification chamber was way too tiny The catapult was not attached to the main build One wall looked kinda weird The laser gate should be solid and not bars Should be larger and at higher price point for more impressive model So I created a 284-piece MOC that, if sold as a set, would probably be around $30. The reason I did not go to Final Duel-size was because there were only 3 characters in that scene, and large sets rarely have so few minifigures (aside from TLBM's Batwing…) Here it is: The plasma purification chamber is much bigger now, the laser gates are solid and swing open on hinges, and there is a catapult that is attached to the main build with Technic pins. The reactor shaft is also slightly larger (from 6x6 to 8x8). Comments & Criticism & Questions all welcome! VaderFan2187

It happened to me as well. I just use photobucket.com. -
@Darkdragon it's generally from LEGO wiki, via google. Maybe they could have shifted the location.
