  1. Easily the worst Harry Potter AC we've ever gotten. It might be cool for smaller kids, and eight minifigures is definitely an impressive number, but it's still a huge disappointment. The oversized builds and wobbly-eyed creatures look nice, but they are utterly uninteresting. None of the minifigures are canon too, so there's not even a place you could display them. Middle-aged Cedric pretending to be a high schooler looks hilarious—it's so funny that after seven years, they still haven't figured out how to make him resemble Robert Pattinson, or at least look good.
  2. Really surprising Advent Calendar, because they actually have a theme this year—droids! It delivers in full, because when it comes to droids, that's a fantastic set. So much variety, so many cool pieces. Babu Frik and B2EMO are huge surprises, I adore both of them.
  3. You're not—it's actually just 1:1 Green Goblin from 6160. They messed up the helmet because of how prominent the hood and the mouth mask are, but that's just the designer's fault. Surprised they actually just made an Ultimate Universe minifigure out of nowhere, but pleasantly so.
  4. Honestly, I am extremely surprised by this wave. Frankly, it might be the best wave of sets since the original The Infinity Saga one, back in 2021. Peter's Apartment looks awesome. The build looks great, quite neatly done—the interior doesn't disappoint either. The Spider-Drone is redundant, but whatever. Minifigures are good—Hobgoblin looks amazing, MJ is really well done, Spider-Man lacks dual-moulding, and Peter Parker is missing. Overpriced, of course. Oscorp is a really cool set too. The minifigures are mostly repeats, but I love that they chose Eddie Brock with the Symbiote attachment instead of just Venom. Ultimate Green Goblin is a really big surprise too, great choice and hope we see more Ultimate Universe references in future sets. Unfortunately, Oscorp itself doesn't look as impressive next to those buildings. I adore Brock's room with a chicken though. Extremely overpriced—outrageous price. The Train set is, frankly, incredible. I expected a decent train build with boring, reused minifigures—but alas, they actually put effort into it! Love that Peter has Battle damage and a new faceprint. Doc Ock looks fantastic, especially the tentacles. JJJ and Aunt May are surprising inclusions, but extremely welcome ones. The train is amazing and I love the transparent attachment for web and brick pieces. Overpriced, of course. Quinjet looks fantastic, of course. They always nail those, so I wasn't afraid about the quality of this set. The minifigures are all awesome, and I love that they can be displayed on the stand. Overpriced, of course. The Endgame set is quite nice. It works as a battle pack, which definitely is a good idea. The Chitauri gorilla was a great choice, and War Machine's mech looks good too. Minifigures are aplenty, and I love that Rocket is finally dark blue; Thor's hairpiece sucks because of the rubber cape though. Overpriced, of course. The last two sets suck though. Hammer Drones are a joke, and the minifigures won't save this set. The 4+ one is ugly, even by 4+ standards. Overall, this wave is a massive surprise. Most sets actually look like someone actually put effort into them, and the choices are really good and offer variety. Unfortunately, all of them are overpriced, so waiting on discounts will be necessary. I'll be getting the Train and Peter's Apartment.
  5. Just built the U-Wing—I almost never get sets day one, but this one was a must for obvious reasons. I really love it. The build is fantastic, and like the previous Andor starship, it feels really detailed and smoothed-out. The interior is cramped, granted, but I do enjoy the more compact-sized vehicles so it's not a problem for me. The minifigures are awesome, except for the ISB Agent reusing Syril's head (still a baffling choice to me) and Dedra's lack of dual-moulding (absolutely hate when they do this, plenty Batmans have suffered because of it). Now I will build an altar for Dedra. Be right back.
  6. Same thing happened with The Last Jedi, so there's no need to pretend that's not the case. Actors (but unfortunately, mostly actresses like Kelly Marie Tran) were targeted by all the internet trolls and fake Star Wars "fans". The director got death threats too, he's not any different fron Lucas. Racists, sexists and all other kind of bigots gathered like moths to a flame. "Rian Johnson ruined Star Wars" wasn't any less common than what you're saying about Lucas. The Last Jedi literally changed the current landscape of fandom blockbuster filmmaking. Why do you think The Rise of Skywalker looked how it looked, afraid to take any risk, without a single original idea? I know it's off-topic so that's all I'll say about it, but it's also worth mentioning that because of the increased accessibility to the internet compared with the times when the Prequels released, combined with the increasing toxicity of fans, The Last Jedi absolutely got backlash that was at least as bad as the Prequels, if not worse.
  7. I wouldn't really agree with that. What gaps do the Original and Prequel trilogies have that the Sequel one doesn't? Each of those trilogies has been getting multiple sets every year for the past 26 years. While Sequels got, what? Two waves per movie and that's it? They covered them really well, sure, but I don't see how they could even start competing with the other two trilogies in terms of their respective set coverage. The only advantage the Sequel trilogy has is that all the sets are fairly recent, so they all still fresh; the Original and Prequel trilogies need more remakes to keep up with the recent looks, moulds, trends etc.
  8. The Kai's Motorcycle set has also leaked, and it's actually awesome? Really surprised how well the motorcycles look. For 10€ it's a must-buy I fear. Arin's Mech is cool, nothing more to say about it though.
  9. As a side note, LEGO continues being absolutely horrible with set names. Fantastic Four vs. Galactus Construction Figure? Please kill me. Interestingly enough, the characters are also all called by their regular names, rather than the superhero pseudonyms.
  10. Okay so thankfully Galactus himself looks awesome. Really love the comic-accurate colour scheme. The only problem in my opinion are the hips, which are too wide when compared to the rest of the body. Minifigures are, obviously, mediocre. Mr. Fantastic has a too prominent beard, the mustached should be the focus; his hair should also have side-printing, like Dr. Strange's. Sue looks exactly as expected. Johnny looks nothing like Joseph Quinn does in the movie, whether it's the faceprint or tha hair. The fire elements look inconsistent and quite ugly, the regular flames don't mix well with power blasts. The dark orange piece doesn't help at all. The Thing looks rather bad, I hate the hand pieces since they don't have a rocky surface like the headpiece does. No arm printing hurts them both, while no dual-moulding is a problem for all the minifigures—they are just way too blue. Overall, it's still a fairly good set. Isn't worth 60€, but I'll still get it at a discount—unless I end up disliking the movie, which I hope isn't the case.
  11. Spot on; but to be fair, that female faceprint does remind me of Vanessa Kirby, so it's not that bad. Johnny though...
  12. Sounds like they went with the least possible effort they could've put into this set. The minifigures sound super plain, and seeing how they usually handle the construction figures, I'm not putting much hope into Galactus.
  13. Does it? Twilight's main problem is that one of the main characters is a pedophile romancing a baby, which isn't any sort of critique; it's just there, pretending to be a completely normal plot thread. I don't see how it's comparable to Andor in any way; whether it's awareness, the level of maturity, the similarity of topics, or how they were handled. Anyway, I guess we're getting off-topic, but I agree that LEGO views it in a more black and white way—is it R-rated? No? Then sure, sets aren't a problem.
  14. Fair enough, but I don't think it changes anything. I feel like the Ghorman Massacre is gonna be even darker though—but still something we're more used to seeing on the screen, especially in big budget projects. But man, I love that they really aren't holding back when it comes to showing the atrocities of the Empire. I'm gonna still hold my hopes for a TIE Avenger prototype. (Probably in vain, but one can still hope.)
  15. I mean, it's a series for adults, and it's not like it wasn't apparent before. If LEGO made a set after Season 1, I don't see this affecting the chances of more sets (which are, anyway, really low).
  16. Just finished watching Andor. Absolute peak. The third episode is quite possibly the best out of all the Andor episodes I think. I'll need to digest it for a few more days though, but wow, I love this series so much. The TIE Avenger prototype really needs to became a set. It's such an amazing ship, and Cassian has an awesome outfit while flying it. Would be a good opportunity to get Bix and Brasso too.
  17. August. The only June sets are the Fantastic Four one and the Iron Man bust.
  18. Even the already insanely overpriced Oscorp is getting a price increase. Simply laughable.
  19. Can't wait to see this set.
  20. It has just come to my attention that Kylo Ren's Shuttle costs 70€ while having 386 pieces. Seventy euro. Less than four hundred pieces. For a microscale build. With no minifigures. This might be a contender for the worst LEGO deal of all time. Genuinely horrific to see this. After it's on clearance in two months, what will LEGO blame the failure of this set on? The Sequels.
  21. The Spider-Man 2 set is confirmed to be similiar to the No Way Home ones, using the same round black base.
  22. Wow, this actually looks really good. It's more of a diorama really that can function as a book nook. Much better than I'd anticipated.
  23. Looking at the Harry Potter one, we might be in for a treat. I thought they'd look like cubes with only a small window for the characters, but instead they look like actual dioramas. Really pleasant surprise.
  24. I'm gonna burn my Syril Karn minifigure as soon as I get my hands on it! He's not worthy of my wife. Great character, but it's supposed to be ME—not HIM! Unless my stunning Dedra just has a plan, which requires seducing him for the glory of the Empire. I know she'd never betray me though.
  25. Update: WHY DID HE KISS MY WIFE?!
