  1. I am not gonna get my hopes up again I am not gonna get my hopes up again I am not gonna get my hopes up again I am not gonna get my hopes up again I am not gonna get my hopes up again [...] Nevermind, the wounds have been freshly opened once again. My heart aches. I need LEGO DCU Superman.
  2. Oh, that's actually quite unexpected. I guess it makes him really easy to turn into human form then.
  3. I'm pretty sure they couldn't have reused this head even if they wanted to, because minidolls have a much thinner attachment for their heads.
  4. If there's one film that reminds me of childhood, it's this one. Hearing any of the songs brings out nostalgia in me like nothing else. As for the set, I didn't mind the price. As a counterargument, I'll say that the Up! house is, in my opinion, one of the best sets this theme has ever had. It's compact and severely undersized, but I don't treat it as a scale-accurate model. More like a small display set. (Also, I usually prefer buying smaller sets, so it undoubtedly works for me.) I don't think the size of the house is the problem—for me it's how it was built. The fact that it's just standing on a flat base, without any of the stairs, the garage etc. already completely ruins it. It robs it of at least half of its uniqueness. The proportions are awful, the windows look bad, and the railings are poorly built. Just a mess all around—but I wouldn't even mind it if the minifigures were stellar... but Lilo looks horrendous, Nani looks really bad, and David is not much better. The leg choices for all of them are baffling, they couldn't even bother to do dual-moulding. Cobra and Stitch look good, but that doesn't make the others better—in fact, they are even worse in contrast. I'm genuinely really sad, because I would've loved to have it—if it was good, that is. I guess the buildable Stitch will have to do...
  5. But imagine if they don't do it this year. The most iconic and popular faction in all of Star Wars, simply gone in favour of Clone extravaganza.
  6. Yeah, in all seriousness, as much as I love Dedra and thus minifigure, I hate when LEGO tries to portray a full coat with simple leg printing—it usually ends up looking ridiculous and incomplete. The only place it works for me is Ninjago, since their robes are visibly different and it feels like a part of the design, and not a cheap workaround.
  7. That sounds way too cool to be true.
  8. Same. It's the biggest disappointment of the year for me. When I saw the set name, I thought "Surely that's a must-buy set." Lilo & Stitch is still my favourite Disney movie, so I thought I'd get it no matter what. Well, turns out, they messed it up so badly that I actively don't want it. The minifigures are mostly awful (especially Nani and Lilo), and the build sucks—and worst of all, looks nothing like their actual house.
  9. A surprisingly strong line-up of sets, although most prices are horrendous. Baby Aquilops looks cool. Not interested in big-scale buildable dinosaurs, but good job. Raptor Escape is a really nice set. The minifigures are good, the dinosaurs are awesome, and the build is well built (I especially appreciate the inclusion of a sidebuild.) Decently priced, too. Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking is quite good, but absolutely not enough for that price. The abandoned gas station is a really nice 20€ build. The camp is cute, but the tree is too thin. The vehicle is weird, and not particularly interesting. While I like the set as a whole, it has no business being more than 60€. Mosasaurus Boat is easily the highlight of the wave for me. I was hoping they'd keep the brickbuilt Mosasaurus as a separate set, and oh my, it's exactly that. The boat looks really good, and the rock sidebuilds are a fantastic inclusion. Mosasaurus looks amazing, obviously, and the minifigures look cool (although I assume they are both random mercenaries). But the weirdest thing about this set. How is it 60€?! I thought I'd never see a decently-priced Jurassic World set, but I am truly amazed it's not 100€—and it includes big moulds for the boat! T. Rex Escape is easily the poorest set of this wave. Now, don't get me wrong—the build is super cute, and I like the T. Rex. But that price??? It doesn't even have 200 pieces, and the T. Rex is probably the most common big dinosaur. This is a scam. Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Mission is definitely a good set, but I don't see why it needs two vehicles. Just choose one or the other. The temple is awesome though, I love this type of architecture. Overall, I love the adventure vibes. The dinosaurs are good, but I don't like that Spinosaurus is locked behind a 150€ set (the price, yet again, is not it).
  10. Of course. It's a cause to celebrate. Now that LEGO Dedra is here, there's simply no reason to use anything else.
  11. Wow, what a stunning set. I adore how the castle looks. Really detailed and clean-looking. Minifigures are great too. The set itself doesn't really intetest me as something I'd buy, but I'm glad Disney is getting such awesome sets. (If only the Lilo & Stitch one was even half as good...)
  12. ... ... ... OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! She looks magnificent! The coat, a fitting faceprint, AND a dual-moulded hat? Is this a dream? I am actually amazed that she looks as good as she deserves to, I am speechless. As for the sets itself, another Andor win. The build looks super clean, so it'll go along nicely with the Season 1 set. Cassian looks (?) good, glad to see K-2SO still has the Empire insignia. The biggest surprise is no Stormtroopers—did not expect new Imperials at all. Overall, I have no words. Incredible set—I never get them day one these days, but I might have to make an exception for this one.
  13. I sure hope not, since both previous sets have had great PPP ratios. Anything above 200€ will be a terrible deal.
  14. I'd argue that all of the positives you've listed are still the downsides of this set... New Ant-Man? Without leg and arm printing and that awful helmet piece, it's still a bad minifigure. New Spider-Man? Remember the times when MCU Spider-Man got arm and leg printing? Yeah, good times. The "broken shield"? More like scratched-printing shield. Extra heads? Sure, but they look nothing like the characters they are trying to portray. What were they thinking with that choice for Tom Holland... and it's not like he needed exclusive moulds or prints. T'Challa isn't better. They are also very pick-and-choosy about it—Spider-Man and Black Panther get ones, but Ant-Man and Falcon don't (I assume there are hairpieces for Iron Man and Cap). The portals, frankly, look awful with all the connectors around them—just as the whole set does. A huge grey baseplate.
  15. LMAO didn't even notice, but in hindsight it's absolutely ridiculous. Isn't that what that whole fight is even about?
  16. I'm impressed. It's somehow even worse than the Civil War set. The minifigures are pathetic. Out of ten of them, is Spider-Man literally the only new one? Multiverse of Madness Doctor Strange, Age of Ultron Captain America... and that awful faceprint-hairpiece combo for Spider-Man. The base is an ugly mess. The portals don't look impressive at all. Don't even get me started on Ant-Man's... mech thing. The worst part? How is that 100€? Genuinely an awful price for an awful set.
  17. Sure, but my point is that right now they don't have a reason to talk negatively—he's given them full creative control, and he doesn't mess with their process.
  18. Yeah, it was Fateful. But also, did anyone actually expect Sunspot to appear in the (presumably) only X-Men set for this year? That's LEGO we're talking about.
  19. They are. The Mutant fits perfectly into the original movie's themes about science and its consequences.
  20. Wow, that's actually horrible. Especially for a D2C set. To be fair, both Gunn and Safran are talking about him pretty positively. Obviously he's given them a clean slate that they can do pretty much whatever with—that's why he hired them in the first place.
  21. The thing is, Superman doesn't actually have to be a box office success. What it needs to be is a good movie that people will talk about afterwards. Right now, they are building a franchise from ground-up. Realistically, you don't expect the first movie to be a huge success, especially after DC (but especially non-existent Superman) have barely had any successes in the past few years. What Superman absolutely needs to do though is be so good that people will start getting hyped for the movies afterwards. It must reignite people's interest in DC as a whole. Obviously, while highly improbable, if it's a huge box office bomb it will be the beginning of the end of the DCU. But even if it barely makes even (the modest budget does help), but makes people interested in upcoming movies and other projects (like Supergirl), then it is already a huge success. Even Zaslav knows that they're building a franchise, and its overall success is much more important over Superman making a billion.
  22. Also mentioned on the Discord: the whole set is situated on a black base, like the one in the No Way Home sets.
  23. New details on the Spider-Man 2 set from Fateful: The set features a gray train car with windows and doors that Spider-Man tries to stop. It also includes tracks and a yellow buffer stop. Both Spider-Man and Doc Ock appear to reuse parts from previous minifigures and are not new. (But probably a new face print for Tobey?) Doc Ock is in a gray suit and has detailed tentacles on his back. Spider-Man also has a web that he uses to save a female passenger. The set includes Spider-Man, Doc Ock and 2–3 civilians.
  24. Probably skipped. This set number has never been mentioned or seen by anyone.
  25. Actually it's really surprising we're not getting the TIE Avenger—it's been featured really heavily in the new trailer (which is obviously fantastic, but I already couldn't possibly be more excited for this series).
