  1. Are we still getting the Episode II Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring, or was that just a rumor? (Also, if it's a retailer exclusive, do they show those at Toy Fairs?)
  2. This looks fantastic! Great work! Just out of curiosity, is that a printed piece or sticker on the bomb chute? It's a shame that this is getting overshadowed by the momentous Toy Fair coverage, 'cause this is a great MOC. Much better than I could do. You're right, the TIE Bomber is very similar to two TIE Striker pods and the TIE Advanced wings. This looks like a mini UCS set.
  3. It's all right, don't worry about it. We've already gotten some pictures. Do you know on what day the UCS Snowspeeder will have its official reveal?
  4. Thanks for bringing the Advent builds to our attention. i'm a fan of Resistance Officer. He's pretty minimalist, like all the rest of the Resistance figures, but somehow I think that enhances his charm. Also, I see an Imperial Assault Tank, an AT-ST, a TIE Striker, and Krennic's Shuttle. Gotta wonder whether a U-Wing will be included, too.
  5. Isn't photography allowed at New York Toy Fair? (I'm pretty sure the Episode VIII sets are off-limits though)
  6. "Will" keeps editing his post on the previous page of this thread to include more images. ;)
  7. Oh my God, Will, the pictures just keep on coming. Thank you so much! The Republic Tank is really tiny! It looks like a good build, and I probably wasn't going to buy it anyway, but I imagine it will be a very popular and reasonably-priced set. EDIT: Looks like they removed one of the Guavian minifigures since the last Toy Fair. :/ Can't say I'm really surprised...I remember the same thing happened with the Orc Forge from Lord of the Rings a few years ago.
  8. I see them, thanks so much! The Quadjumper looks like a great set, but I personally have no interest in it. Any idea whether there will be any more Rogue One sets for 2017 (polybags excepted)?
  9. Aha, thanks for that clarification.
  10. Wait, wait, wait! Lando in Episode VIII? Saw Gerrera polybag (for May the Fourth, maybe?). I'm having a second-hand LEGO overdose of excitement, right now.
  11. That is a steal. I personally dislike all of the buildable figures, but I would be tempted by that price. K2SO is probably the best of the bunch, because he's supposed to look mechanical.
  12. Haha, we'll be all right. Honestly, I'd rather wait another few hours for good quality photography than have you stressed about snapping a bunch of pictures. Thank you for your generosity, anyway.
  13. YES, finally the North American release date! Although apparently both my local Toys R Us and Target had the sets out for a few days and I didn't realize it. Anyway, I bought the much-anticipated Y-Wing, and I can't wait to build it this weekend.
  14. Hi, welcome! I have both the Jedi Interceptor and the U-Wing, but not the TIE Striker. I like Obi-Wan ship quite a bit, but I personally think that the U-Wing is much more impressive and iconic for an additional 20 Euro (I live in the United States, but that price for the U-Wing seems really good based on currency conversion). I guess it depends on how much you like the source material, like "FishW" said. There is a pretty balanced review of 75135 on FBTB.net here: http://www.fbtb.net/2016/03/31/review-75135-obi-wans-jedi-interceptor/ (I am not affiliated with the site, I just like the review, so I hope it is okay to post it). If you are feeling in a Rogue One kind of mood, I would personally spring for one of the larger sets, but obviously it's a personal choice of preference and priorities. I don't know whether you've checked out Bricklink, but I just looked, and there are three sellers in Italy selling that Obi-Wan figure for only about 5 Euro. Seems pretty good to me. No idea why I am doing all this research, I guess I just have nothing better to do.
  15. The BrickHeadz Capitan Salazar reminds me a bit of the ghost Santi from Guillermo del Toro's film The Devil's Backbone. A bit off-topic, I suppose, but it's one of my favorite films, and that printed cracked porcelain forehead piece certainly has a lot of undead potential for MOCs. As far as the two figures are concerned, Cap'n Jack is a better resemblance to the source material. Maybe it's just that we haven't seen Dead Men Tell No Tales yet, but I wouldn't have recognized Javier Bardem's character without a label.
  16. Yes, that's what I was thinking. I can't think of any molded part that looks anything like that, and it doesn't really look like a brick-based part. I suppose it could be a new mold, but I doubt it. I just hope they're not STAMPs...but they probably are. The set looks absolutely beautiful, though.
  17. If the entire squadron is included, I would freak out. I thought the helmet with the red Starbirds and grey stripes might be Hobbie's, but I can't find any reference on that. If the two figure variations are actually real, that could tell us that the Snowspeeder model might have orange highlights (just like the original UCS Snowspeeder), as opposed to the grey, which is Rogue Leader with Luke and Dak. If the pilot with the dark helmet is indeed Zev Senesca and he turns out to be real, I'll feel pretty stupid for doubting it, since he's my profile name and picture.
  18. What is the printing on the arms? Just a darker orange vertical line? That's disappointing, if true. I also tend to think that these are fake. I wouldn't mind a few new Rebel helmets, but there's no way there would be so many duplicates. I suppose it's possible that the set only comes with one of the figures (or two, if you count the metallic one). Still, it seems incredibly unlikely, and what bothers me most is that overused smiley Rebel pilot head. EDIT: "Richpepperell" beat me to it: I agree that if they are real, there's no way there would be three duplicates.
  19. Okay, here's another Hoth related question. Has there been any word on what minifigures (if any) will be included with the UCS Snowspeeder? I suppose we'll probably find out this weekend from the New York Toy Fair, anyway, but I was just curious. I would imagine that it will be Luke and Dak with arm printing and updated helmet prints (Dak's has been the same since 1999!!), but who knows.
  20. Wait, but it says you live on Scarif! Seriously, go see that movie as soon as you can! And seriously, this MOC is awesome. Those Microfighters are way better than the official ones. I always like it when people incorporate smaller vehicles into builds. Not every great MOC has to be UCS-sized (although some are, of course).
  21. I'm not sure...that leg piece looks like a perfect match, though. I wasn't aware of all these useful dual-molded pieces! Come to think of it, those legs would also work well for Hoth Luke: (I just copied that image from a website, somebody please let me know if that's not allowed)
  22. I'm not much of a prequel fan anymore, but I have that battle pack as well, and you're right, it's baffling that there's no Phase II Commander Cody. He was about as cool as Clone Troopers get (in the prequels, at least). It's bizarre that we would get a huge Buildable Figure of the guy, but no regular minifigure.
  23. Does anyone think 75098 Assault on Hoth might be getting a hefty discount this May the Fourth? I passed on a (fairly) cheap eBay listing of the set without figures, and I'm regretting it. I'm a diehard Hoth fan, but I can't drop 250 USD on that set. It seems like a prime candidate for clearance this year, but you never know. Does anyone recall the circumstances under which the UCS B-Wing was marked down to half price? Was it just lack of popularity?
  24. This Microfighter looks great! I would buy it in a heartbeat. I can't understand why they only made 4 Microfighters this time around. An Imperial Cargo Shuttle and an AT-ACT would have rounded out the "official assortment" very nicely. The good news is, you built this, which is probably superior to any model that TLG would release at this price point. I might just have to build one for myself. EDIT: I love the banana and the surfboard. It looks like something from one of the LEGO Video Games.
  25. I could see this getting merged with the "Future Star Wars sets" thread, but who am I to say? I only just joined. Anyway, it's a great idea, and I don't know why the modular set concept hasn't been taken further. Part of the charm of the original Harry Potter sets (2001-2002) was that they could all be combined to make a giant Hogwarts. Obviously, the Star Wars galaxy is far more expansive than one fairly uniform-looking school, but I like the suggestions that you provided. I'd like to see a Scarif Citadel tower that could attach to 75171, preferably with a monorail connecting the two of them. That would be pretty sweet. As far as an entirely new setting, I think the Yavin IV Rebel Base temple could be done with several connected sets: -Hangar with ground crew transport -Briefing Room with Death Star plans on Screen -War room where Jyn Erso is recruited -Ceremony hall with updated Celebration Luke,Han, and Leia (maybe using the Olympic medal piece from the Collectable Minifigures Each could probably retail for about 25 to 40 USD. Honestly, I don't think LEGO will ever choose this route, but it would be nice if they did. Imagine 75098 done right (i.e. a substantial command center with multiple screens, seats, and equipment; a detailed medical bay, etc.)
