  1. Hovertank Pilot I would vote for Vader, but I already voted for the Rebels-style Vader, who has back printing. Furthermore, the Death Star Vader is the same as the one released in 2015 (Death Star Final Duel) except that he has a softer cape. So Hovertank Pilot it is. I do wish they would have properly completed the leg printing, though...I don't understand why all trooper variants get their leg printing cut off halfway down, whereas minifigures like Moroff and Boba Fett even get printing on their toes. Different factory, perhaps?
  2. I don't care about Rebels at all, but I fully understand that it has its fan base, and you're right: it's now or never for Rebels sets. At least Rebels sets on a regular basis. Actually, the more I think about it, I just don't know what to think about the darkness of Rogue One (as it pertains to LEGO sets). This is the same company that repeatedly makes sets from Revenge of the Sith...they just leave out Order 66. Heck, we have Vader's surgery (a re-release!) as a summer set. I really can't predict what TLG would do next.
  3. Really? Anyway, it was my impression that Admiral Raddus should be much shorter than his minifigure suggests, but maybe that's just because he's more rotund than Ackbar, and he's sitting in his chair most of the time. According to the Rogue One Ultimate Visual Guide, which is supposedly canon, Raddus is about six feet tall, which really surprised me.
  4. I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I'm kind of concerned about the lack of Rogue One sets in the summer wave. Yes, it's easier on my wallet, but I'm not sure it bodes well for future sets from that film. I think TLG may have been taken aback by the somber finale of the film (given all the reshoots). Furthermore, the next fall and spring will probably be taken up with The Last Jedi and Han Solo sets, plus maybe some battlepacks and "Saga" sets. It's too early to say, of course, but I don't expect anymore Rogue One sets until Summer 2018. In addition, I'm not sure that Rogue One is so popular with TLG's target demographic. My nine-year-old little cousin wasn't scared by the film, but he found it boring and depressing. Granted, he's only one kid, so who knows, but it definitely seems that Rogue One was not quite the sensation of The Force Awakens. Don't get me wrong, it's my favorite Star Wars film (maybe even my favorite film of all time!), but I am trying to be realistic concerning sets. All that being said, I agree that the "Rogue One" cargo shuttle is essential. I really don't care much about the AT-ACT. It wasn't nearly as iconic as I had hoped. As much as I hate to say it, I think a Hoth AT-AT would sell better. Other popular ideas with which I concur are a Partisan X-Wing with Saw Gerrera, "Two-Tubes," and Bodhi with printed arms (never gonna happen, but I can dream); and some kind of Confrontation on Eadu set with Galen Erso, Krennic, a Death Trooper, and maybe one of the ill-fated engineers. Finally, I would love to see an Erso Homestead set with young Jyn, Galen, Lyra, and a Death Trooper. I highly doubt this would even cross the minds of the set designers or the marketers, because a.) there's never been a Lars Homestead set, which is much more iconic, and b.) there's never been an Aunt Beru or Shmi Skywalker minifigure, so it seems logical (and insulting) that TLG would ignore Lyra, as well.
  5. My dad's leaving for vacation, so he gave me an Easter gift ( ) early: the TIE Striker Microfighter. It's surprisingly awesome! Anyway, I am always very thankful for free LEGO sets, and I was particularly happy with this piece, which is new for me!
  6. When are the May the Fourth discounts usually revealed? Or is it just an arbitrary announcement? Thanks!
  7. Another vote for Chirrut Imwe. Dag-nabbit, I missed the last round. I would have voted for the Imperial Jetpack Trooper. Oh well.
  8. I will go with Director Orson Callan Krennic as my final answer, but, once again, that might be a result of my Rogue One bias. Finn (FN-2187) is a very close second.
  9. Yes, but Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter is already listed as set number 75191. So, assuming that one of the numbers is the UCS Millennium Falcon, I guess that leaves the remaining mystery set as a retail exclusive or a UCS. Time will tell. Who knows, that set might even get delayed for a year and a half, like the UCS Snowspeeder. I'll stop speculating here for fear of clogging the thread. Thank you, though, for everyone who offered a response.
  10. Sorry I'm late to the party... For the record, my votes for the first three rounds would have been as follows: Baze Malbus, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin. Of course, that doesn't really matter anymore! For this round, I will go with Bodhi Rook. I am biased, because he is my favorite character from Rogue One. But I think he looks great. The facial expressions are spot-on, although I would have preferred a unique hairpiece with the goggles built in, so that he could have the option of a more somber expression. And he could use leg printing. And the Imperial cog on his arms is sorely missed. So, yes, he's very flawed, but he has a lot of character, and I love getting minifigures of different ethnicities. He actually looks like the character he's portraying (unlike Cassian, who should at least have black hair), and his backpack is really well-made. I can't help but think of the scene where he has to connect the cable on the landing pad. Anyway, here endeth my essay, but I'm glad that I've made my case for the defecting Imperial pilot.
  11. I was just looking on Brickset, and there are listings for two as-yet-untitled sets: 75192 and 75193. I believe the former may refer to the UCS Millennium Falcon, as it was used in the April Fool's Joke (which may have been less foolish than I originally thought), but what about the other one? Is 75193 supposed to be the "third UCS set" that we've fruitlessly speculated in previous pages of this thread, or is it a retailer exclusive...or something else? Is there any way to tell just by looking at the set number?
  12. Not a "purchase," so I'm totally cheating, but I just officially set aside $200 (plus estimated tax money) for the UCS Snowspeeder! EDIT: After rewatching Rogue One, I decided to pass on the Snowspeeder and amass a collection of Rogue One sets instead. We'll see where that takes me.
  13. Only the Snowspeeder, I believe. The rest are set for a June release.
  14. I'm sure we'd all love a Bantha polybag... Nope, Saw Gerrera was a glaring omission from the Rogue One lineup.
  15. Well, Mon Mothma is technically not in A New Hope, but I suppose you could say that she is indirectly central to the plot, via Rogue One. If "ChristopherLee" says it's an OT-era character (italics mine), could that possibly mean Rogue One as well, since it takes place directly before? Does RO qualify as OT-era?
  16. These are some phenomenal MOCs. The Rebel "alphabet" fighters have always been my favorite, and these creations do them proud. I LOVE how you made the landing gear on the A-Wing, while still keeping the perfect dark red coloring. I was struggling to modify 75075 in such a way, but honestly, that set is so flawed that I should probably make one from scratch. Also, that Y-Wing is suberb; the nacelles have always been severely undersized on the official LEGO sets. Also, @AntocMerrick, Good to finally have Blue Leader on Eurobricks.
  17. Just ordered this guy on Bricklink: "Red Leader, this is Gold Leader. We're starting our attack on...the Shield Gate." Just need to make sure it's the right helmet before I pay. Last time I tried, I was mistakenly sent the helmet from 7658 (which I already have), and I'm pretty obsessive about my Rebel pilot helmets.
  18. Ah, that makes sense, thanks. I didn't realize the store calendars came out a month in advance. Fingers crossed for sometime in the next two weeks, then!
  19. Any word on the date of the official UCS Snowspeeder reveal? I know someone said mid-March, so I would imagine any day now!
  20. Ah, thanks to both of you! I just couldn't (and still can't) find any film stills of a green A-Wing from ROTJ, but maybe that's not saying much, since even the red ones only had about two minutes of screen-time. I may try to pick up 7754 sometime in the future, because it's one of those rare sets where the aftermarket price has gone DOWN, not up!
  21. I just can't seem to stop spending money. On the plus side, I have a sweet 75175 A-Wing Starfighter arriving in the mail tomorrow! Despite being the fastest starfighter in the Rebel fleet, it will still have managed to take 10 days to arrive from LEGO Shop.com. Side note: My recent purchase of the UCS Slave I is absolutely stunning (my first UCS!), but in the long run, I wish I'd saved for the Snowspeeder. I mean, just look at my profile pic!
  22. I was just wondering, does anyone know whether the dark-green and white A-Wing included in 7754 "Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser" is canon? I've searched briefly for a ROTJ A-Wing in those colors, but can't seem to find anything. Is it from a video game or something? (I know the Rebels variant in 75150 is dark-green, but I don't really care about that one). Thanks!
  23. Just looked into this, thank you! I wonder whether the printing on the flak vest has been improved with an extra coat of white, like the one from the new (2014-) X-Wing pilot torso. The helmet printing doesn't look great, but I've seen worse on some minifigures I've bought. The arm printing looks promising, but as you said, it's difficult to tell for sure. Really, the only thing that truly bothers me is the overused smiley head, but I'm sadly, I'm pretty sure that's final, given how lazy TLG has been with that sort of thing.
  24. This is...um...fantastic! Far better than 75171 "Battle on Scarif," and I love that it's not just a MOD, you built this from the ground up! It's a very neat, detailed, evocative MOC. My favorite part is the roof of the bunker, which is now much more imposing. Do you have any pictures of the interior? "Are we blind? Deploy the garrison! MOVE!"
